if you always get hand-me-downs, raise your hand. !

my brother graduated high school in 1999 and i got his dressers, bed, mattress, and blankets he used throughout high school. it is now nearing the end of 2009 and in the past 3 months i've managed to convince my parents to get me a new mattress of my own, new dresser of my own, and today i just got my very own duvet cover, sheets, and shams. 

this has to be one of the best feelings ever.

I started this journey by myself and walked away from it a week later with some incredible new friendships. None of us knew 

what to expect, but what we got was something that will stick with us for the rest of our lives. What an awesome experience 

it was to be apart of such a movement.

This video doesn't even show you half of what the whole trip consisted of. Nor could you possibly comprehend the 

atmosphere or Rescue unless you were there. I say if you ever have an opportunity like this, take it!


This video, and especially the first minute and 5 seconds, sums up the wacko I spent a week with. Oh Bobby Bailey, love you man!

in most cases, there is disappointment, so therefore, lower your expectations means less.
that doesn't mean you need to think less of people or your friends, but just see things in different light. or just dont ask for much.

I watched it for my first time today. It wasn't what i expected but it portrayed the crucifixion of Jesus as well as anyone could I guess. Being that we weren't there.
It definitely was a tug at the heart and it made me cry a little bit. I'm going to watch it again tonight and maybe it will do something else for me the second time around.

questioning my own character.
i had to do that today and it got me really upset.
i have only judged my own character once and it was in the 9th grade.
to do it again, and for reasons unacceptable, puts me in a very bad place in my heart.

why do we do the things that we do?
why do we do things we know we don't want to?
why do we let pressure get to us, even though we know we are stronger than it?

its in our human nature to sin but that doesn't mean we should do it just because God knows it is bound to happen.
