Hey everybody. Just a quick note to let you guys know that Andy, Conan, and Steve have started up a new project that we're very excited about. Aside from quarreling about what to call ourselves, its been going very well. We've been writing, rehearsing and playing the odd show here and there. To cut to the chase, if you want to come and see what we've been up to you have the perfect opportunity as we have a show at PA's Lounge in Somerville on Saturday, May 9th. Hope you can make it. -AnCoSt.

Hey everyone, Scholes here (your humble keyboardist). Thanks to everybody who’s been out to see us in the past couple of months, including the shows with Limbeck at the Mid East and the Knitting Factory, which also featured BFF’s the Self Righteous Brothers, who filled in for the Allston component of Baker (that being Steven, Andrew, and myself, meaning it was actually the Self Righteous Bakers) (us three have been spending a lot of time on careerbuilder lately...). Also, thanks for coming down to the what was supposed-to-be-secret basement show. The repairs and cleaning done to my place as a result of the damage done that night left my house even more liveable than it was before. And it was a hella good time. Thanks to the Big Big Bucks for playing!
We’ve been really busy. Last month, we recorded four highly enjoyable songs (including "Geoffrey") at Q Division, which we plan to release sometime in the near future. Our debut album, "Bike Ride", has been played in heavy rotation at college radio stations across the country, and will be released nationwide on May 27th! You could very well purchase it at Super Wal-Mart in Roswell, New Mexico. You can already buy it on iTunes, Amazon.com, and at Topshelf Records. This week we played live on MIT Radio’s Pipeline, which you can download here. We also had this crazy makeover photo shoot with local mag Stuff @ Night, at which we were at the mercy of friendly fashionistas who wondered when was the last time we got our hair cut by professionals. That’ll be on the streets April 8. And last, but not least, we’re preparing our livers for next week’s annual St. Patty’s Day show with the Bleedin Bleedins at Great Scott.
Our list of shows is being constantly updated (thanks to James), and, in the meantime, new pictures of our miscellaneous adventures are always being posted (thanks to my ADD during any downtime). Steven’s got side project called Talk Modern, who play their first show April 3 as part of Harris’ residency at O’Brien’s. We also have updated pages on Facebook and purevolume.
So! Hope to see you in and under the influence of great spirits next Monday night!
Love, Nicole and Baker

Post-rape Baker.

We recorded some new songs at Q Division in Somerville this past weekend. Everything came out really well and we're excited to get it out there soon. Lots of surprises and friends. The studio was really cozy and easy to spend 12 hours straight in. Justin Pizzoferato was our engineer/life coach/den mother as usual, and without him we just wouldn't exist. The assistants were the best we've ever worked with--they would just about hold tissues to our noses if we were about to sneeze. Thanks to WBCN for the studio time. See pictures in our photos section and look out for new tunes soon.
We hope to see you at the show on the 2nd (info below).

Hi everyone. We just wanted to drop a line to everyone regarding all the nice things you've been saying about our new video. While we'd love to take all the plaudits for that fine piece of work, the truth is that we really shouldn't be taking all the credit. So, we'd like to thank everyone that helped us make it, especially the Laver family who were kind enough to let us destroy their home over 2 days and then let us sleep over for their troubles. Also, Erik Diaz and Lindsey for their set design and camera work respectively. And also Nate for writing, producing, directing, and editing everything. You can check out his other stuff here: www.nathanlaver.com and here: www.hoorayforfunn.com If other bands are interested in doing a video we highly recommend you use Nate's talents and he'll be sure to have you do a nude scene in return. Sweet. And like a fart in the wind we're gone. Poof.

Thanks to everyone that came out last night and cheered us through our round one victory. Hopefuly Steve's Whole Foods insurance will cover his broken back and wrist from his flip over his drum set last night and hopefully he'll recover in time for the semi-finals on Friday the 13th. To quote Steve,"Whatevah yo, it's Wok and Woll, Kid."
