Current mood:  hot
Scripted Failures is working on the song "The Contest Completed" for the Velvet Blue Music Message Board's online Starflyer 59 tribute.

If time permits, I'll be doing "All My Friends Who Play Guitar" under my solo moniker Letters from Home, and Jim will be doing "Hazel Would" under the possible solo moniker Amateur Cartography.

Once this all gets done, and all the tracks get posted somewhere we'll let you know where to download it.  It should be good, because everyone that is contributing loves Starflyer 59 as much as well do. So, to make it even clearer, this is a bunch of hardcore fans working on songs they've loved for years. I'm involved and I'm excited, so you should be too.

So we have a forum now, so all you fans can congregate and discuss everything from the band to philosophy.  It's located at forum.scriptedfailures.com.  Join up and introduce yourself in the new members area. Jim and I will be frequenting the board a lot talking with all of you. It should be a blast!

Second, and this is something we should have mentioned a long time ago, we've had a blog up on our website for the past few months where we talk about whatever music is currently striking our fancy. We discuss everything from extreme guilty pleasures to bands we've even hardly heard of. We've been slacking a bit lately on updating, but we're going to try to do better. It can be found at blog.scriptedfailures.com.  Of course you can always hit up www.scriptedfailures.com to find out all the other places besides here that we have a home at on the web.

Third, the band is kicking into full swing. We've got a six month plan and we're ready to execute it. Hopefully we'll be playing some shows around the Huntsville and Madison area soon so all you local kids can come see us live! We'd love to meet all of you!

Thanks for digging the jams!
Justin

PS Don't forget you're always welcome to download the EP and spread it around to all your friends. We like it when people do that!

Hey guys,

It's been a while.  We haven't been going nothing, though!  We're recording new material at the moment.  For the time being, though, we've put all of our old material up on our Facebook and iLike pages!  Check them out at the following links (and become a fan):

Ok, I'm a goddamn liar. We haven't been updating more regularly. Between not recording and not practicing, we've been rather busy. Good news is we still have plenty of copies of Tables Will Turn that we haven't sold yet. This is a damn good cd people! Two discs full of quality indie acts. So go, click on it! In the profile!!

And we ARE still working on Fear. We will have the demo up on the page. I say soon. But we'll see. And we're still writing new stuff! My newest song is incredibly different. It's sounds a bit like Interpol actually. Maybe we'll get a decent version of that to put up soon too.

Shows. Working on those. If you can get us one, we'll play it. Anywhere in the area.

Later.

We are in the process of recording a new EP.  We don't have a title for it yet, but we're recording The Fear of Being Forgotten right now.  So far it's going well.  We'll update with a new demo of it soon.

Also, you can now buy the VBM Compilation CD from us via Paypal.  It's $11 (including shipping!!).  Click on the button in our profile to buy it.

We'll be updating more regularly.  I promise.

we just want to say thanks to everyone that has added us as a friend on here. we appreciate it and are glad to know that at least a few people are enjoying our music. if you request to add us as a friend, and it takes awhile to get approved forgive us cause we're a little slow sometimes. if you like us, tell your friends about us, cause word of mouth is good. thanks again everyone.

we probably should have posted this sooner, but here's how to get a copy of our demo if you want one. if you live in the huntsville area you can buy a copy for four measely bucks at sunburst records, which is located on the corner of the holmes and jordan intersection. there's only a few copies there, so if the incredible happens, and you go to pick it up and there's no copies left, tell jay to tell us to give him more copies, and we'll get em to jay next time we're in, and we're in there alot. if you don't happen to live in the huntsville area, drop us an email at scriptedfailures@scriptedfailures.com and let us know you want a copy. we'll get in touch with you and tell you where to send the four bucks. and hell, if you want a copy but aren't willing to pay the four bucks, we'll work something out. we just want our music to be heard. thanks!
