I stubbed my big right toe pretty well a couple days ago.  That night, I did a dueling piano show, walking on it more than I should've.  Spent most of yesterday doing voice-over work for some 30-second commercials.  Found out this morning that I've indeed got a fractured bone in the toe!  Argh.  Life, gigs, shows and church services still go on.  The toe is bruised and very ugly, not worthy of posting.  It happens to be the "sustain pedal" foot - ouch! - here's to good health and fortune for the rest of the year.  Hope this finds you all well  : )   ML

"Don't tip the Milkman" will be featured in the upcoming movie, "Arnold's Park," set for release sometime this summer (2007).  I wrote the song with Ben Lexau way, way back, during the summer between high school and college.  Who'd have thought?!  The song has undergone many transformations over the years, and has been recorded about 7 different times.  For the new version, which will appear on the "Arnold's Park" soundtrack, Martin Appelbaum played drums/percussion.  I played keys, guitars, bass and did the vocals.  Enjoy!

The first MySpace blog! Had a wild and crazy finish to the summer (is it over yet?). Played at the MN State Fair with Tom Mischke, on the 'Prairie Home Companion Show' on the Grandstand stage. Super fun experience, playing guitar with some awesome musicians! Played two more dates with my duo-sidekick, Chris Herriges, at the Ramberg Senior Center. That too was a blast. So fun to see how music touches lives, from infancy to elderly (I'm currently somewhere in the midde of the spectrum). Lots of gigs this month.  Hope you're all well.  See you back here soon - Mike
