How did
you describe your music?....
.. ..
Over
the years we have created our own sound and it’s called Mz Ann Thropik music J ....
It’s a
mix of Rock, Punk, Metal, Blues, Pop and cherry on top!....

Your
voice is so powerful! I'm thinking of the song "Damsel in Distress",
the screams are outstanding! Did you take musical lessons?....

The
closest I came to music lessons was a few weeks of learning the drums back in
high school and a few weeks in the choir before I got kicked out! I am the least musically talented in the
band! I tried going to music school a
few years ago, but it just didn’t feel right, all I did was play the drums all
day long. I think I’m more of an emotion
driven musician, expressing emotions through sound, rather than performing
based on music theory. ....

What gave
you the desire to play music?....
.. ..
Music
is everywhere… If you listen closely to
a bird singing, a tap dripping or a heartbeat… you can find music. I think it’s one of the purest most beautiful
ways of expressing yourself… And I
believe everyone can do it… My desire
to play music came from needing to escape a bad situation I was in many years
ago… ....

What are
your influences (music, books, movies...) and inspirations?....
.. ..
One of
my main influences is life and love… the way our heart feels and how our mind
argues with it… The left side and the right side of the brain… Living in
fairytales and living in reality… My
grandfather and growing up in the Czech Republic had a lot to do with how my
mind drifts off into fairytale mode as an adult… ....

Lately
I’ve put a lot of focus into being inspired by the Sea… I even did a photoshoot with a real Octopus
on my head for the first single (QUEEN 222) from our Album!!!....

You are
currently recording your debut album. How it takes place? Can you tell us
something about the songs, their subjects, the music? ....
.. ..
The
Album is going well… we’ve been writing and recording it for three quarters of
a year now… It’s been an amazing experience watching it unfold and shape
itself… ....
We
went into the studio with a vague idea of the album concept, but now that it’s
almost finished everything is beautifully coming together. ....

The
album is divided into 4 sections… It’s Mz Ann Thropiks journey throughout a
whole year… As the seasons change, she changes and the songs change… that Is
all I can reveal for now! ....

You are
not signed. It's a choice or it's because you don't find a good label?....

We
recently signed a few songs to a Publishing Label here in Australia called
Shock. ....
If we
were to sign to a record label, I think it would be a European label… ....

You are
more and more famous in your country (and in the rest of the world moreover).
How do you feel about it?....

Fame…
Fame is such a strange thought to me… I don’t want to be famous, I want to tour
the world with my band, my thoughts and my emotions and I want to make people
feel strong and better about life... so, no, fame is not something that I
crave… Helping people is. ....

Tell us
more about your Street team, "The Tiger Hat Army".....
.. ..
There
were two teenage girls who hung themselves a couple of years ago in
Australia. It broke my heart… I started the Tiger Hat Army as a support
network / family for people who feel sad, depressed or down on life. I started making these tiger hats that I sell
at shows and online… when you put one of them on your head you instantly smile
and feel goofy… and if you can, you let out a little roar of a tiger J The Tiger Hat Army has grown so
much over the last two year, fans from around the world have formed beautiful
friendships because of it, that really warms my heart! ....

You have
very beautiful tattoos. What do they mean to you?....

As a Riot
grrl, what's your opinion about women in the music? ....

I
think more women should get out there and do it!!! It’s not as scary as it
seems and if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it! ....
