Press release:

Swedish Oldschool EBM Ep 2009  - Sham 7”ep 010

Facts:                  Release 7 November

                             150 numbered copies

                             Brown/gray colored vinyl

                             Excusive screen printed artwork

Finally the  follow-up Ep of the success from 2007 is out, gathering highlights of the Swedish Old school EBM scene.

Once again Container 90 gathers Swedish Oldschool EBM friends to join up for a ..7”.. compilation Ep. The music does not need much of a presentation though the Old school Ebm supporters sure know what they will get.

Line up this year :

A:                  Kropp – Vad skall du ha på dig ikväll

Spark! – Ett lejon i dig

B:                   T.W.A.T. – Battleground

Container 90 – Two thousand and nine

The screen printed cover art is really something unique from a technique more than thousand years old. Screen printing became popular in pop art in the sixties through Andy Warhole..s famous portrait of Marilyn Monroe.

Over the years the technique has frequently been used in underground DIY cultures because it’s affordable and readily. In a non-professional DIY tradition we think it suits the philosophy behind a project like this.

The talented artist Håkan Eklund (alias Doghead) once again made the artwork. Håkan is well known for his work with Swedish punk acts like Dia Psalma, Asta Kask and Charta 77. The screen printing is made by craftsman Jocke Walther, the man behind Swedish Merch company. Probably ....Sweden....’s biggest supplier of rock merchandise.

Release party will be November 7:th in ....Stockholm.... at club Bodytåget. Venue is located at Suger Bar, Kammakargatan 9. Live on stage are Spark!, Kropp, Ekobrottsmyndigheten and Body Pleasure. Dj:s for the night are Dj Ron (Container 90) and Micke Spångberg (Radio Virus).

The Ep will be sold through the Container 90 myspace site. Price is 12 Euro. The 2007 release was sold out in 8 days so serious buyers should look out at 7 November.

Kungsör 6 December 2008

Sham cdr S 009 - CONTAINER 69 – S.H.A.R.P Dressed Man

Once again Ron & Jon of Container 90 deliver a free download single with the side projekt Container 69. This Christmas giveaway is the third in a row and a way to say thanx for support to the audience.

Since this is a bit different from their usual electro punk / ebm sound the group name is changed to Container 69. This to avoid any confusion about the musical progress of Container 90. The Container 69 sound is less punk and more SKA inspired music like the bands on the 2-Tone label.

This year's cds is a two cover version of the ZZ Top's classic tune "Sharp Dressed Man". Both are free renderings with a rewritten lyric. One is back beat synth pop and the other is more original ska. The lyrics are a kind of celebration to the s.h.a.r.p movement.

Cheers & beers!
