NO...that is my answer it is not wrong to sell music nor is it worng to want to make money with your music, however america makes a big fucking deal about shit and screams sellout as soon as you try and make money from your music.
well if that is the case...then america i must say pka has sold out...yet i still have a shitload of stuff for free im sure someone will scream sell out at the fact i am going to try and make money from this...either way as i have said before...

PKA, is probably the most creative, and innovative mind in horror music today. While everyone is slaveing away at the good ol' power chords and trying to impersonate Glenn Danzig, PKA is creating music that overshadows alot of horror music today. It's like relaxation music for the darker kind. And by far the best and only person doing this kind of music for people like us.
-Justin Terrell(ZMB Graphics)

Awesome soundtrack/backround horror style but recording quality middle of the road.
Reviewer: Bob Suosso (CD-BABY CUSTOMER)
A very well created horror/soundtrack style, wish there was a movie to go with it, a lot of background static though, which ruined the whole experience. If sound could be cleaned up it would be top notch.

Reviewer: Sin Magnificent Bastard In Charge of Antidote Records
Honestly ... I was pleasantly surprised by this thing. I was expecting some of the usual stuff I get but this demo totally came out of left field. It's like soundtrack music ... ambient ... spacey ... spooky ... like a minimalist version of early Mortiis, maybe? I don't know ... what I do know is that I liked it. Great job! ~Sin Magnificent Bastard In Charge of Antidote Records

P.K.A.'s sound scape paints a dark and gloomy picture of isolation, drug abuse, and the undead The Abominable Experiment 6.66 is composed of ominous melodies mixed with droning keyboards and an occasional blast of the drum machine. this instrumental album is a funeral soundtrack to all the bleak and eerie lonely souls of this puny planet.
Dustin (CHAOTIC UNDERWORLD RECORDINGS)

P.K.A. makes his chaotic underworld debut with a full length release entitled "the abominable experiment 6.66". Dark and atmospheric in nature, this album has an eerie beauty under all the static and shrapnel. a very mature release from an artist who has been doing his own thing for awhile now and has been a long time supporter of what we do. Dustin (CHAOTIC UNDERWORLD RECORDINGS)

TORMENT WEBZINE INTERVIEW!
Hi, pka

I was just wondering if you could answer a few questions about your
music for the interview section I'm building. I would appreciate it if
you answered the questions as honest and as complete as you can. Thanks
for your time

Band/Artist name? PKA

Where are you from? JOHNSON CITY, TN

Why are you a musician? MUSIC IS SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE, MY GRANDFATHER BOUGHT ME MY FIRST GUITAR WHEN I WAS LIKE 5. ONCE I STARTED IT WAS SOMETHING I KNEW I NEEDED TO DO FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

Could you tell us some more about your music? WELL IT IS SELF PROCLAIMED SPOOK CORE. IT IS A COMBINATION OF MANY STYLES AND GENRES, BUT NO MATTER WHAT GENRE ALL OF OUR MUSIC IS ATTACTED WITH A BRUTAL PUNK ATTITUDE.

Where did your name come from? IT IS SHORT FOR PSYCHO KILLERS ANONYMOUS..I THINK I WAS DRUNK WHEN I CAME UP WITH IT. ONE OF THOSE THERE IS A GROUP FOR EVERYTHING ELSE WHY NOT PSYCHOKILLERS. SO I DECIDED TO START IT UP!

What do you use to make music and why? my guitar, bass, keyboard, fruity loops & computer. and the reason i use these things is it is what i have for right now.

How do you start a track? usually with a riff. then build off of it. layering sounds and atmospheres

How long does it take to write a complete song? depends could take minutes could take days. i will work on it until im happy

What artists have influenced you in your career? GLENN DANZIG, MISFITS, SAMHAIM, DAN,ZIG, DANNY ELFMAN, MORTTIS,MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE

What other interests do you have besides music? going to local shows hanging out with my lovely girlfriend

What inspires you to write music? PRETTY MUCH JUST ABOUT ANYTHING

How have you handled the business side of the music industry? WITH DESCRETION. I DONT WANNA END UP BROKE AND HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. SO I MAKE SURE EVERYTHING I DO WILL ONLY HELP ME OUT!

What's goes through your head, as you get ready to perform? not playing any shows at the moment.but complete terror. then complete bliss!

Who are you listening to at the moment? BLITZKID, MISTER MONSTER, GRAVES, PRETTY MUCH ALL KINDS OF HORROR PUNK.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? HOPEFULLY STILL DOING PKA AND MAKEING SOME MORE MONEY AT IT!

What do you think of the industry at the moment? IT IS IN A SLUMP...I PRETTY MUCH HATE ALMOST ALL NEW MAINSTREAM MUSIC. ITS GETTING ALL GENERIC.

Would you go on pop idol to boost your career? NO!

If you were to release a limited edition 10 track CD which of your
tracks would you put on it? THE BEGINNING,THE GATES OF HELL, THE GATES OF HELL 2, THE SPOOK CORE, REVELATIONS, DIRGE OF THE DEAD, RESURRECTION, UNTITLED, XXX, MARCH OF THE DEAD & THE END!.... OK THATS 11 BUT IT IS THE MOST POPULAR SONGS IT SEEMS

When you have had a hard day in the studio, what do you do to relax? DRINK A FEW NICE ICE COLD BUD LIGHTS!

THE BOWL 4/20 ISSUE INTERVIEW:

Fucking Killing Fields

I recently caught up with Shane Dunn of P.K.A., "So tell me man is there something specific that makes you want to write music?"

"As far as writing goes, for me anyway, it's just a way to convey my emotions. You can hear it in the song, .if I am down, depressed or just plain sick, you can hear that in one of our songs. If I am having a really good day and just plain happy you can find a song of mine that you can hear that in. Honestly, 98 percent of everything I do is instrumental so I try to make my point with the use of sounds "try" being the keyword here.Actually one of my friends told me just yesterday, he liked the fact that I was involved in the science of sound, which I thought was interesting."

"And what does P.K.A stand for?"

"P.K.A , you know I am bipolar and i think through a lot of stuff in any given day,'cause my mind races constantly. One day, in 2003, I started thinking about these psycho serial killers and such and, you know if you drink a lot you go to AA, and etc. etc. .So I thought I wonder why there isn't a psycho killers anonymous, yes, I know that this is weird and unconventional, but that is the point of my music and this project, and a day in the life of my fucked up brain".

"What are some things that influence you?"

"Well, honestly, a little bit of everything. I know this is cliché to say, but I am influenced by everything from Elvis to Cradle of Filth. Music is my life and it always has been. The move towards the more computer driven music just kinda happened, mostly due to not finding the right people to be in bands with, and I kinda developed my own electronic sound, which I like to call "spookcore."

.

"So, do you have an opinion on popular music these days?"

"Popular music? Well let me say this...I don't listen to much new music at all.I will hear a song or two on the radio every now and then that catches my attention, but that's not very often. I have been listening to alot of Blitzkid and Slipknot for the last year or so…weird combo, I know, but it makes me happy.

"Awesome, man, well tell us, is the CD available?"

It sure is, it came out the 21st on Chaotic Underworld Recordings, you can pick it up at these locations DAD CDs - KINGSPORT TN,ABYSS RECORDS - JOHNSON CITY TN,HARVEST RECORDS - ASHEVILLE NC,
