Back in 2006 we had a chance to go to APE and it was one of the best shows, from atmosphere, to the crowd there and the fantastic artists and creators that you could meet and greet. If you have never been I suggest you do, you'll have a great time and find lots of new titles to read and enjoy.

The following is a re-posting of a message I recived today from Brian Andersen and how he will be one of the creators there this year. If you are going to APE do stop by and say hi.

I'll be posting up more work and art later this month so keep an eye out!
-Celina

Hieeeeee!
This coming weekend, Oct 17th-18th, is the always enjoyable Alternative Press Expo, aka APE! I'll be there with my very own table (Booth #517) filled with many multi-colored gay comics - and my two newest books "Sex and the Superhero" and "A Waste of Time" #2 - and some free t-shirts to the first 10 people to hit up my table each day, two guest creators (both Trina Robbins and Rick Worley will be doing signings), and I'll also be on the Queer Comic Panel on Sat. the 17th from 2:15pm-3:15pm with other more-talented-than-me creators. Yay!

If you'd like to come out and see me (and I'd love to see all of you) APE will be held at:

The Concourse
620 7th Street
(for directions hit up): http://www.comic-con.org/ape/..ape_direct.shtml
$10 bucks to get in (so cheap, like me!)

I will have a brand new comic out called "Sex and the Superhero". It's like "Sex and the City" only gayer, and with superheroes! It's a little naughty, it's totally funny (I hope) and fully fabulous thanks to the art by the highly talented Neftali Centeno. You can check out a FREE 8 page preview of the comic here:

I'll also have the second issue of Rick Worley's very droll, very hilarious "A Waste of Time." Rick will be at my table at various times throughout the weekend, so swing by and say "hola!" You can check out more of his work on his very own website:

I'm very honored to have living comic book creator, herstorian, Trina Robbins signing issues of her trade paperback collection "California Girls" on Sunday the 18th from 2pm-4pm. Be sure to stop by and tell her how wonderful she is (and pick up her trade)!

Also, below is an interview I did with "The New Gay" website as well as some way cool reviews and write-ups I've received about "Sex and the Superhero."

My interview with the "New Gay":
Where I got 8 of 10 for overall comic execution and 10 out of 10 for Comic Importance:
Honest, funny, and mostly positive:
Super sweet, super talented blogger:
Always adorable Gay Comic Geek:
NYC based writer, blogger, all around top talent:
The perfect place for gay geeks of all sizes and shapes:
Scroll down a ways to see the short, mostly positive review:

Yay! I'm excited to be going APE and I hope to see you all there!
Hugs and kisses!

I've never tried eBay before to sell art but I thought I'd give it a shot.  This here is the lovely Voodoo from WildC.A.T.S on bristol with ink. I love it but I'm willing to part with it. If your intrested then go get her!

I'm in the middle of lots of work including re-lettering Nothing Everl Lasts by Mike Murphy and Sergio Calvet. And drawing up an epilogue that will be going into the NEL trade due out in December. It looks GORGEOUS!!!!

I just finished lettering Sex and the Superhero by the fantastic Brian Andersen and amazing Nefetali Centeno. Do click on the link for a preview. For Mature readers.

Big time sorry that we've dragged our butts on recording a new HERNURPHCAST time escapes us but the love is still there to record so don't be surprised if it just happens.

Can't wait till Fringe is back, loved loved loved Bullshit with Penn & Teller, Mad Men is firey and good to watch and who knew I'd love True Blood.

Haven't seen any movies yet, much to busy and no cons this summer, *sob* but that's because there is lots on the way from CHIBI COMICS and I'm happy that everyone of you that stuck around continues to stick around. We appreciate it.

So if you haven't already go check out Record of the New World by Mike Murphy, Skyjack and the Forty Thieves by Sergio Calvet. Thanks again for waiting so patiently for new work from all of us, I tell you, it will be worth it.

Reignbow and Dee-Va written by the talented Brian Andersen of "So Super Duper" fame and drawn by yours truly is about two kick ass agents who kick butt and look damn good doing so.

Their adventure kicks off at the beach where all looks sunny and bright- but all that's about to change when Reignbow's love stops acting like himself. Zombies, sea monsters, thrills, and fa-boo chills follow! What are you waiting for?!?

Do go check out www.sosuperduper.com for more information about what CBG comics has to offer and do click on the Reignbow and Dee-Va 2 preview link so you can read the preview!

I did this a while ago where I posted guys and things I found to be cute and brighten my day. James Franco, Corgi puppies, The characters to Melancholy of Haruhi Suzuiya and Josh Holloway. I enjoyed the season finale of Lost and I love anime, puppies and I think Franco is cool. Enjoy.
