Gotta do it again....

Wow, still rockin' in the afterglow of the deeper level weekend.
I actually had to repent to for not having greater expectation than I did.
And believe me , I had RIDICULOUS expectation for the weekend, but we got hi-jacked (actually God-jacked) so many times it became almost comical (in a pure way). It all started in the 403 on Monday the 26th (you'll be hearing so much more about the 403 soon) We came together to pray at about 9am or so. Our goal was to share a quick word and pray to set the week in motion...30 minutes TOPS! Right? To make a very long story much shorter; we ended that session at around 4:15 pm, we as a group will NEVER be the same again because of what happened in the 403. It was like a new UPPER ROOM experience with so many layers it was unbelievable! Totally bananas. We experienced such a fresh move of God's Spirit, words are difficult to describe, someday soon I will find the right words. Rehearsal had it's challenges and after a while it became obvious to us that the recording was so secondary to the real plan of God, to really start something, birth something, reform and revolutionize something in our lives and consequently for the Body of Christ. So we just made peace with that. And did HE ever!!!! The conference started on 10! And just kept going and going. The hope is that we can edit all of the footage and audio and make it available to you, it was that amazing.
If you were there, I want to thank you for coming; and I would love to hear your feedback as well.
For those who didn't make it, please plan on coming next year. It will be life changing guaranteed!

Wow! what a surreal day it's been. Israel and NewBreed won our first Grammy after 6 nominations. Thanks for all of the congratulations you've sent. On behalf of the group we are very honored to have won. At the close of this day, however, it is just more hardware to lay at the feet of Jesus and return all glory to Him. Nevertheless, it is a great feeling to reach this type of accomplishment.
Thank you everyone for everything.

Okay, let's get one thing clear; NOBODY enjoys, delights, finds invigorating, or leaps-at-the-opportunity-to; Enter into a season of change, sacrifice, change, surgery, audit, excavation, and change (did I mention that?)... Especially if messing with my food and entertainment is involved.
However, there are times in life where the plans , desires, hopes, dreams, visions, etc of ones heart run 'counter' to the plans and desires of God. Nothing rebellious or ill-willed, just.... Counter.
It's like this;
Currently I am writing this first installment in our 40 day NewBreed Life Devotional on the Mac Book you guys bought me for my birthday. In a perfect world, I can turn this computer on when I feel like it, and turn it off when I feel like it. However , it's not a perfect world so my beloved Mac for a while was shutting down randomly and vexing me thoroughly. For a couple of months I just co-existed with the frustration that came with it, and even spent hours of energy trying to figure out (on my own) how to prevent it from happening, but inevitably it would shut down, successfully adding to the noise in my life. Here is the amazing piece; Life, just like this Mac, just like God has a way of letting you know that it is impossible to proceed peacefully and successfully, without the necessary prescribed UPGRADE to function at the optimum level.
Delighting yourself in the Lord requires laying down long enough for God to remove the unnecessary parts of our visions and dreams and plans and desires in order for Him to replace them with the upgrades He has. Our problem sometimes is that we will exhaust more energy, resource, and the precious currency of time- AVOIDING the process of elimination and subsequent installation and continually live beneath our privilege , then wonder why we are burning out.
Therefore I appreciate God calling us aside to implant the desires of His heart into ours and remove yesterdays model of what we once believed to be the ultimate desire and dream.
I've used this analogy before, but it bears repeating,
Imagine God as a huge body of water, the only way to fully delight yourself in Him is to dive in head first and completely lose yourself in Him.
There is a surgical procedure that takes place when we dive in without any concern for consequence,
He implants His desire into our hearts and we emerge saying things we've never said before, believing things we never imagined could happen in our lifetime, we start seeing things differently and walking out what we are newly proclaiming.
I encourage you to dive in to Him today, and of course dive at the deep end and .......prepare to be amazed!

I have no rhymes like "open Heaven" in 07, and such. But I can tell you I have never felt more Kingdom anticipation into a new year in all my life. i'm excited about the season of the "RE" as I've been calling it. refocus, revolution, reformation etc.......
I shared with NewBreed last night at our Christmas party that when I heard Bishop Tudor Bismarks wife Chi Chi share on Sat. night she said God is going to do great things this 'year' It sounded like she said this "HERE" and just before I could start chuckling at the accent, God spoke and said" PAY ATTENTION"
We look at a year the same way we look at a full bank account, we have plenty of it to spend. We look at the currency of a year as having plenty of time. But the NEW HERE represents taking seriously EVERY day. Today has to be intentional. Intentional. Say it..... It's time to change the world man. (Peter Wilson just said that to me) Peter is the worship leader at Hillsong London. we're here in Atlanta at the Passion Conference at the Philips arena. Tonight was BANNNNNANNNNAZZZZZ!!!!!!! Louie Giglio leads a movement of college students who actually believe they can and are supposed to change the world. His initiative called DO SOMETHING NOW is revolutionary, I'm impressed. Chris Tomlin who has become my dear friend over the last several months invited me to sing with him tonight. Just incredible. Wait .... I feel like I'm kinda name dropping. sorry about that, it's not generally my style. I plan on making every day matter and count. the words I say; conversely, what I don't say. What I do and don't do. NewBreed is getting ready to embark on the most radical time of 40 day consecration leading up to March 1st and our new live recording. Sacrifice is not giving something up , but REPLACING something old and ineffective with something fresh and vibrant. It's a new HERE a fresh 24. Seize it. Who's goin' with me?

Okay, here is my first My Space blog ever. I..ve been told I..m way late to the party, so please forgive me for being a ..midi-ot.. I..ve never been so good with things technical, but with the help of my friend Danielle Stephens I..m figuring it out.

First of all, I am so overwhelmed at the number of friends who have requested to hang out here. Thank you,that..s amazing! I promise to stay as in touch as I possibly can, I..ll try to keep you updated on what..s going on in my mind and heart and world. This my space thing is pretty cool huh?
I have requests from some very interesting people, heroes of mine and stuff.... What a trip.


2006 has been quite a year, I cannot believe it..s almost over already. It..s literally been the best of times and the worst of times. Nothing overly traumatic just a recalculating of certain expectations that you just KNEW were going to happen, people..s promises broken, delays- delays- delays- reevaluating relationships etc....
But at the same time we..ve seen some miraculous things happen this year. My family is stronger , happier , healthier than ever.
Lillie has pretty much taken over our entire home and corporation at the age of 3
Sonny Boy (israel2) debuted his original spontaneous composition on the GRAMMY nominated ..a Timeless Christmas.. Mariah also sang on it with my friend and hero Jonathan Butler.
Meleasa and I celebrated 12 years of marriage and friendship together. Everyday, she gets younger and sweeter and wiser and more and more ..Queenlike.. it..s amazing: especially when every day I feel like I..m getting older- fatter- goofier- and less ..Kinglike.. by the hour!
But she tells me and SHOWS me every day just how much she loves me, I must be the most Blessed imposter on the planet. Nevertheless, I thank HER, THEM,YOU, and GOD for being my friend no matter what.
