Funny thing happened over Christmas break... I sold my beautiful orange motorcycle. Here's the story, It started out as a joke. A friend was trying to sell his and really didn't have the "touch" of advertising when he posted his bike on Craigslist. So, I posted mine just to show him what it should look like if you're serious about selling anything for anywhere near what you're asking. Crazy thing happened though, within an hour I had 2 people wanting to come look at my bike.. One of those guys came by the house the next day and bought it for exactly what I was asking! Well, this left me "bikeless" so I hopped online for a couple of days (literally, sorry Allison) and found a near perfect yamaha R1 priced just right. Actually, I had to talk the guy down a bit because I didn't want to spend a dime more than I had sold the CBR for. That's the story and you can see the new bike in my photos on MySpace.com/kevasus. Until next time... God Bless you. -Kevin

Have you ever seen an orange sportbike? Chances are you haven't! That's why when I decided to give my 2000 CBR a facelift I chose orange. The only motorcycles I have seen this color are online on Google. A few factory colors are close to orange but they are usually burnt orange or reddish orange. My bike is not a factory color. In fact, I used Krylon Pumpkin Orange. A new color from the company that can be found at most paint stores and even Walmart (my favorite store!)

The first step in the process was to disassemble the bike. So it quickly went from this:..
To this:..

Then came the sticker removal (a huge pain) sanding:

Now it was time to prime the pieces:

On the third night all the pieces were primed and ready for paint:

Finally, after many coats of paint and some custom work the finished product was ready:

And ready to assemble:

The finished product looks great!

And we're ready to ride!

See all the pictures in my photo album at myspace.com/kevasus.

Now let's see how it looks on one wheel!!!

More pictures on that subject coming later on.

Friday night my wife took me to a Third Day concert in Savannah. A band called Need to Breathe opened for them. Th,ey were great and you should really check out their pages. Interestingly, Need to Breathe is from Seneca, SC which is about an hour from where I was raised in Easley! Nice to see some home folks making it big with a band like Third Day. I bought their CD "Heat" and it is so great. I would love to have their other CD's (maybe for Christmas... hint hint)

I'll be posting pictures from the concert soon.

Every Tuesday night we have bike night at Sonic. This is probably going to change to Sunday afternoon but for now, during the transition period, we're going to do both.

The problem is, tonight there were only 2 sportbikes! Most nights there are atleast 10 with as many as 20 or more. I don't know if it's the cold weather or just a scheduling problem but if you are in Brunswick and have a sportbike come on out to Sonic at 7:30 on Tuesday night or on Sunday at 2:00. If you need more information just ask and I'll get you to the right place.
