Heyo!

I finally got around to getting a new tablet!  It's a 9"x12" Wacom Intuos 3, and it's working great so far!  There's actually a noticeable difference between my old Intuos and my new one.

Seventy five comics!  Wow guys!  Twenty five more and I'm at a hundred.  I'm excited.

This comic actually only took an hour and a half to do.  I wasn't even sure I was going to have a comic for this week, but I just started drawing.  Glad it worked out.

Comic #72!  And Sam's back!

I saw 'Burn After Reading' and 'Pineapple Express' last week!  They are very good movies.  Both more violent than I expected, but a non-stop laugh riot.  Check them out!

I also picked up the 'New Wave' album by Against Me!.  Again, check them out.  They are very rockin'.

The majority of time spent on this comic was setting up how the scene was going to look, perspective-wise. I went through three drafts of what panel one would look like 'til I got to what it looks like now.

Boondock City is back!  I'm all set up in Toronto again, so the college break hiatus is over!

Yay, a comic!

Last time, I posted about a band called August Burns Red. And now, I'm going to mention another band! Whaddya know?

I bought the self-title Flyleaf album from iTunes this week, and it is definitely worth it. A mash of hard rock and metal, the album comes with sixteen songs, a digital booklet and eight music videos. Some of the tracks on the albums are also acoustic versions of their heavy stuff. If you're into Christian rock, Flyleaf is definitely something you should listen to.

For those of you regulars, you might've noticed a lack of a comic last week. Last week was my birthday! I celebrated by going to an eighties party in Toronto. It was a lot of fun!

Heyo! It's good to be back. Sorry about the lack of comic last week.

I finally got around to seeing "The Dark Knight", twice. If you haven't seen it, do so like yesterday. It is epic in every sense of the word. It's one of the few movies that gets more terrifying the more you see it. Heath Ledger did a superb job of playing the Joker. I was skeptical at first, but he did a terrific[ly terrifying] job.

You should also check out the band August Burns Red. If you're into rock, metal and // or screamo, you'll like them. Even if you aren't, check them out.

Horray, another comic!

So I bought an album the other day, from an electronic band called "Boys Noize". They're quite a bit like "Justice" or "Digitalism", in the whole "we also sound like Daft Punk" sense. I enjoyed it! The first track, "& Down" is awesome. If you like Digitalism and // or Justice, I highly recommend "Oi Oi Oi" by Boys Noize.

There won't be a comic next week, I'm counselling at Ottawa Valley Pentacostal Camp again this year! And now I'm off to the Sandbanks! Being me is really busy.

Nothing much to report tonight, apart from my random urge to want to fight zombies. What, you never feel like fighting zombies? C'mon. Don't lie. Oh, and be sure to check this video out. That's something I'd support Bush on.

Boondock City is back [from a three week break]!

I posted a quick edit on a character sketch of Jenn on my DeviantART page. I was trying out some shadow techniques, because I really want to start adding shadows to my comics. It'd be a bit more time consuming, but the overall look would probably be spectacular. Of course, I'm kind of biased.

Benny Benassi released some new music! If you're into electronic, be sure to check out his "Rock 'n' Rave" album. It has all the essential Benassi sounds, mixed into fresh new beats that'll satisfy any bass lover.

I've also been listening to some Deadmau5 [pronounced 'Deadmouse'], an independent Canadian DJ and producer. His songs often go over the five minute mark, but are well worth the time spent listening. If you can find it, you should definitely check out his remix on "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". Speaking of Daft Punk, word is they're back in the studio! Their last album, "Human After All", was released in 2005, and 2006 saw the launch of their epic world tour. I don't think it needs to be said that I'm preposterously excited.

Anyway, that's about enough stereotypical music blogging from a web comic artist.
