We're trying to start up an alternative to the wacked out Los Angeles scene in walking, user friendly Silverlake.  SUBVERSION CITY promises to be good times, ecclectic tastes and a great hang.  Our first one will be November 12.  I hope y'all can drop by.

Oh! We forgot to mention that the Audi movie featuring our song "Roll Away" won both the people's choice and the judges' choice for best Audi movie! Congrats to Kristina!

Current mood:  cheerful

We had a lovely time with our friends King Django and the Drastics last Thursday evening. The Drastics follow our same love of doing things with dub. We hope we can play with them in Chicago. They are really great guys. King Django is one of our dearest friends. We miss that guy! He was fantastic as always. We look forward to getting into the studio with him one day soon. Looking forward to this Thursday (August 18th). DJ Rude D is spinning old ska and third wave tunes. Get there, eat sushi. Big up Old HC Dude for the pics! Nuff Respect.

Current mood:  rejuvenated
We finished the first of a slew of songs we're recording. Roll Away will be appearing on an acoustic ska and reggae compilation. We are also producing an EP which should be done by summer's end. It's really nice to be back in the studio. We wish we could do it all the time.

WOW! We had an awesome time at the BikeSummer fundraiser. Ian Johnston of KPFK was there and wants to play our upcoming CD on air as soon as it's done. It's the most enthusiastic crowd we've had in L.A. Thanks to all of you who came out. We're ready for tomorrow night when we hit Riverside with more grooves. Peace.

Current mood:  creative
First of all, we would like to give a special shout to Richard for showing up at the gig on Sunday. We made some new friends, but it's always cool when our current friends show up. Thanks, Richard. The Blue Cafe is a nice spot. It reminds us a little of Wetlands in New York. (remember Wetlands?) It was a cool reggae crowd, very peace-loving, very chill group of people. I can't wait to go back! Anyway, our next show will be in Riverside, CA at The Riverside Brewery on June 4, 2005. We hope to see you there!

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday. We really enjoyed the show at Fais Do Do. We're going into the studio to record our first EP very soon. If anyone is in Long Beach or the surrounding area, please come down to the Blues Cafe on May 1st. We'll be able to do our full set then, with its full range of styles from soul to reggae to breakbeats. Happy Pesach! We'll see you soon.
