Kristy and I connected up with our friend Holly for Dublin Culture Night on Friday.  It's a brilliant way to promote the art, history and other cultural highlights of the city.  CLICK HERE to read about our time over at The Dublin Expat Experience blog.

Also, this afternoon, Sheryl McElwee threw a surprise baby shower for Kristy.  She'd been planning it all week and I had several "undercover" phone conversations with her over the last few days.  As far as Kristy knew, we were going over to the McElwees' for coffee and hang-time.

Unfortunately, I was behind Kristy when she walked in to the McElwees' kitchen and the ladies . . . (CLICK HERE for more.)

We just recently decided I won't be going to Greenbelt this year, due to Kristy being only 5 or 6 weeks away from giving birth.  Unusual Suspects is one reason (of many) I'd love to be there.  Over the Rhine is yet another.

Speaking of festivals, here's a little review of the "Festival of Faith & Music" that I blogged about a few months back.  Some very deep thoughts from Sufjan there.

Over the weekend, Kristy and I watched the film, "Stranger than Fiction."  Very cool film.  Probably wouldn't win any awards, necessarily, but it's lightly thought-provoking and intelligent yet a lot of fun at the same time.  Will FerrellTony Hale is also becoming one of my favourites, since Arrested Development.  and "fun" just sorta go together it seems, even though this is a bit of a different role for him.

MK12 is a graphic design studio in Kansas City that the makers of the film used.  If you're in to graphic design at all, you must have a look at their website.

We had a brilliant time with David O'Doherty last night.  CLICK HERE for more on that.  Sorry to Alan & Sheryl and Matt & Hailey, who unfortunately were turned away at the door due to the tiny venue being filled to capacity.  We were able to save a seat for Omar though.  After the show, we joined the other four downstairs for a few drinks and some conversation.  Matt gave me the hook up on THIS RADIOHEAD TRIBUTE over at StereoGum.  Brilliant stuff.

You'll notice that I've placed a widget component here on the MySpace page. Click on it to get a preview of my 2 blogs, as well as a few recent pics on Flickr. Then, if you click on any 3 of the widgets, the full version will expand within the panel.

Most of my online activity happens on these blogs, so I figured I'd try to combine them a little more closely with the MySpace page. Gonna try it for a while. If you have any opinions about how well it works (good or bad) lemme know!

It's been a lot of fun hooking up with old friends here on MySpace.  I think it's going to be good for that kind of thing.  However, if you really want to check out what Kristy and I are up to and what I'm chewing on these days, you'll need to visit the REAL blog.  =)  We've also got a FLICKR page where you can see pics.
Gotta love Web 2.0!
