"To quickly describe my feelings regarding Decibelle (formerly known as Estrojam), allow me to offer this scenario. Imagine a child describing FAO Schwartz, moments after she's visited the toy store for the first time: "There's so much to do! There's so much to see! I danced and laughed and cried! I met great people! It was the most fun I've had all summer!"

I've been sitting in my laptop's glare for days, wondering how to articulate these gushing sentiments more eloquently before I finally realized that the festival doesn't deserve a dry critique. It needs a personal recount that comes straight from my fiery, fuchsia, feminist heart."

Lady Tigra will be performing at the fest NEXT SAT SEPT 27th:::

"Lady Tigra was in the awesome 90s Miami Bass duo L'Trimm. They're best
known for the track "The Cars That Go Boom" but, perhaps more important
than that song, is the groundwork they laid for Yo Majesty, Uffie, Amanda
Blank and many others to bring fire to the dance floor today. Lady Tigra released her first solo album earlier this year and it's chock full of bootyliscious party jams."
-DJ Reaganomix

The 2008 line up includes Miss Kitten & The Hacker (first tour in 5 years!), literary super-star Michelle Tea, rising Chicago star FM Supreme, one of Detroit's best MC's Mz. Jonz, Louisiana's Kelcy Mae, Mama Cutsworth & Mizz Brown of Winnipeg Canada, MC Filfy, Cristy Roads, Emma Lee of Ontario Canada, Chicago's DJ Reaganomix of Formally Known As, Brooklyn's Jasper James and one of New York City's hottest emerging acts, Plushgun.
