Vermont- damned, determined to impeach Bush..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Small towns, like Brattleboro and Marlboro have tried unsuccessfully to impeach President Bush. Even trying to pass a law that if President Bush or VP Cheney enters each town, they could be arrested.

Now, a woman running for Vermont Attorney General- Charlotte Dennett, says if elected, she will prosecute Bush for murder.

William Sorrel, who is the current Attorney General for Vermont and running for reelection, claims the Vermont AG cannot charge a random person for a crime- if the crime didn't take place within the state of Vermont.

(State Attorney General's are limited to crimes within their state.)

This isn't stopping progressive candidate- Charlotte Dennett. She claims that because the military actively recruited folks from Vermont, (and of course- "Bush lied and people died") this gives her the right to file charges.

An Attorney general can file charges for all kinds of stuff, whatever floats their boat. But it may never move forward.

First, she would have to prove why Vermont has the RIGHT to prosecute a person, when the said crime never took place within her state. Second, Bush lied: difficult to prove when so many other world leaders and professionals also believed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. (Trust me..!! If it could be proven that Bush lied, democrats would have brought on charges 3 years ago.)

As with many on the left, Charlotte Dennett's anger is misdirected. She is angry with President Bush for the War in Iraq. However, President Bush made no bones about what he wanted to do: Saddam needed to allow Hanns Blix to inspect all of Iraq, or Saddam would be removed.

If Charlotte Dennett is upset over the Iraq War, she should go after the democrats who voted with Bush to allow this war to take place. After all, why did she vote for these democrats if they are NOT going to protect her (anti-war) interests..??

I wonder if Charlotte Dennett will also go after President Madison for the War of 1812..??

Maybe then she could take after President Jefferson for the War with Tripoli..??

She would have problems prosecuting all three presidents:

President Bush received congressional approval to remove Saddam, and Saddam's military was shooting at American pilots- (which falls within constitutional authority for war.)

She would have problems prosecuting Madison and Jefferson because these men WROTE THE constitution that Charlotte Dennett is squatting down and pissing on.

(Plus, Madison and Jefferson are both dead.)

He leaned forward in his chair, as if to take command. His political party's "talking point" was firmly planted in his brain.

When the moment was right, he declared:

"You know, we cannot drill our way out of it.."

Is anyone else getting sick of this talking point..??

"We cannot drill our way out of it.."

What makes it even more sad and pathetic is that each person who uses this talking point acts like they are the FIRST to say it.

"We cannot drill our way out of it.."

Oh….

It makes me want to puke.

Mainly because it is such a lie.

We can drill our way out of "it."

We have enough coal in America to power the country for 100 years. If every electrical power plant was either coal, nuclear, or hydro (wind, solar powered)- we would not need oil for electricity. If every American who only drives 200 miles a day, ( to work, to the store, etc) drove an electric car, we would be able to "drill and dig our way out of it.."

It is estimated that 50 percent of Americans could drive an electric car. The batteries in modern electric cars would last long enough for the day to day driving.

If that were to take place, there would be enough oil to power the rest of the Americans vehicles.

Do we need the government to pass some kind of new law..??

Hell no..!!

Get the freaking government out of the way. The government is part of the problem. The free market will solve our problems. Today, with the high cost of gas, people are using mass transit more than ever. Also, motorcycle stores are having trouble keeping "scooters" in stock. A scooter gets 100 mpg, costs around $2,000 bucks, and can get a person around a city.

We do not need any NEW laws on fuel, in fact; we need the government to loosen up a few laws they wrote years ago.

Yes we can drill and dig our way out of it.

The free market will cause people to choose what transportation vehicle suits their economic situation. Some will choose mass transit, others will walk or bike, some will buy smaller cars.

This alone will not solve our problems.

We need an education system that doesn't teach "history lessons" and political correctness.

Everything taught in schools should center around "facts", not how the lesson illustrates global warming, racism, or condoms.

We need educated people in this country if we are ever going to find a new power source.

We have relied on the gasoline engine, in America, for about 100 years. We know we have about 100 years of coal and oil to power our countries future needs.

Instead of teaching kids how to put on a condom, shouldn't we teach math and science? (When you think about it, a condom isn't that tough to figure out how to use?)

Instead of teaching kids about global warming, shouldn't we teach kids how to read and write? (If a child can read and communicate, they will learn about global warming because the information is freaking everywhere.)

Instead of teaching kids about the gay lifestyle, shouldn't we dive a little deeper into engineering, science, and how things work?

We have children trapped in a school system for twelve years. Beyond that, most children are on their own.

We are pissing away these twelve years by teaching morality lessons on the "gay lifestyle", global warming, and how to install a condom.

For a group of people who claim they want separation of church and state, I have never seen so much emphasis on teaching morality in school, in my lifetime. The morality of homosexuals, political correctness, global warming, and how to install a condom.

Yes we can drill, dig, and educate our way out of this.

But we need to start now.

We have watched President Clinton and Al Gore spend 8 years of our time and do nothing for the environment or energy.

We have watched President Bush and the republicans in congress spend 7 years of our time and they have done nothing for our energy problems.

I'm not willing to say that the democrats are in bed with the oil companies. Nor am I willing to say that republicans are either. But clearly, both parties do not want to tackle this problem.

Yes we can drill our way out of it.

But it looks like we, "the people" will have to grab the democratic and republican politicians by the hand and lead them into the future.

I would say, just leave the politicians behind in the past. But unfortunately, they are the idiots who write our laws.

(Who exactly, are the idiots..??)

Welcome,

The first picture is called-

Hey, who took my "new."

The picture was done for an editorial I wrote in which I talk about the 5 things that Barack Obama did wrong. (Post called "Obama- what went wrong.")

Poor Obama was the NEW thing in politics. But that was 2 years ago.

Looks like someone else took Obama's New-ness.

My latest "Sick Rick's Pic" (picture) is called:

"Pigs and Lipstick"

I guess this picture needs no explaining. Other than it was done in humor.

(note) I had nothing to do with the "doll." I'm not really sure if there is a Sarah Palin doll..??

My next picture is called:

"Oprah and Obama- They've got a THING going on."

This picture is based on the fact that Oprah will not let Sarah Palin on her show.

Oprah interviewed Barack Obama.

You might be tempted to say that Oprah doesn't want to give advertising to "our side" of the political fence.

You would be wrong.

Oprah interviewed Bill O'Reilly.

Clearly, Oprah doesn't care to LEARN anything about Palin. Which is a shame because- like it or not, Palin is on the verge of raising the bar for women.

But Oprah is not interested.

So I took it a step futher.

If Oprah were a republican, White, and refusing to allow a Black woman on her show, people would scream "racism."

So that is what we did with this picture.

Fear of Fox News, back of the bus- young man

Once again, I (and millions of other conservatives) are being told to get on the "back of the bus."

Because Hillary Clinton appeared on Bill O'Reilly and Barack Obama was interview by Fox News' Chris Wallace and O'Reilly, left wing bloggers are upset.

There is some kind of "secret code" that the elite liberals have in which conservatives are NOT allowed on the mainstream media.

Even today, as far as we have advanced…

Conservatives are NOT allowed at the front of the bus. We must head to the back of "the media bus."

Obama and Hillary broke some kind of "trust" that liberals have.

(Although, liberals are giving Obama a pass on it.)

"Never, ever. Under any circumstance, give a conservative credit for anything.." Do not appear on conservative shows.

If the mainstream media were a drinking fountain, conservatives would be told to use the drinking fountain out back.

Do you remember how it was years ago?

When CNN was the only game in town..??

There would be 3 liberal democrats and one "token" conservative- debating. The token conservative usually had a goofy bow tie on (Tucker) and CNN would give the conservative 15 seconds to explain the conservative philosophy. Then the three liberals would use the remaining 23 hours to explain why the conservative was wrong. (Such was life under the rule of Ted Turner.)

Remember when Merv Griffin would give William F. Buckley the final 5 minutes of his show? Merv, to his credit, would allow Buckley to speak. However, Merv would break in by saying- "Fascinating.. But now a word from Preparation H.."

We have come a long way from those days, but we still must fight on.

Fox News is the number one cable news network in the United States. Bill O'Reilly is the highest rated cable news show.

And yet, liberals would like to see Fox shut down.

But Fox is number one…

Why wouldn't a politician want to be on Fox News..??

Because liberals do not want to recognize Fox News.

They do not believe a conservative viewpoint is worthy, or important.

For example, on Friday- MSNBC's Keith Olbermann had this to say about Hillary and O'Reilly-

"…I am the East Coast Distributor of "Fixed News" Outrage…"

(Keith likes to call Fox News- "Fixed News." Isn't that cute..!! I wonder if he thought of that on his own..??)

Keith Olbermann continues-

"…But hasn't the most telling explanation about the surprisingly-yawny Billo interview struck anybody? She did it because it was serious free television time and if it costs much more than free, she can't afford it.

She was doing a freakin' info-mercial…"

So, let me see if I understand this…

When Hillary appears on Fox News, it is an "info-mercial." But when Hillary appeared on Keith Olbermann's show (like she did ten days earlier) it WASN'T an "info-mercial"..??

Let's forget the fact that a host from the lowest rated cable network is poking fun at a host from the highest rated cable news network, because you are always going to have "sour grapes" between competitors with small minds.

Let's forget that…

I like to dig deep and find out why liberals do not want democratic politicians to appear on Fox News?

Hillary and Obama have appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and other networks many times.

But Obama on Chris Wallace, and mainly Hillary on O'Reilly, has caused a fuss.

WHY..??

Because elitist liberals and progressives pretend that Fox News is not real.

They pretend that Fox News will go away someday. That it is only "stupid" people who watch that channel.

Rather than compete against Fox News, progressives "HOPE" that if they boycott Fox News and say bad things about Fox, it will disappear. Someday, it will go away.

Fox News isn't going to go away.

Matter of fact, Fox News will get bigger if we have a democratic president.

Wishing that Fox News would disappear is not going to make it happen.

(And Keith, calling Fox News silly little names like "Fixed News" or "Faux News" isn't going to make Fox go away either. You should have learned that in the 4th grade.)

A News show becomes number one because people like the host. A News show becomes popular because they discuss topics the others are not covering. A News show becomes number one because they are asking the questions that people want answers to.

They do not become number one by wishing, or pretending that the other show will go away.

Let's face your biggest fears, because Fox News isn't going anywhere.

(And, Obama and Hillary NEED middle America's vote, so they will appear on Fox more in the future.)

So let's look at the top three "Fears of Fox" that liberals have.

Progressives- "Fear of Fox": number one-

"Appearing on Fox News will give the network credibility and make Fox more popular."

This fear is a complete myth because Fox WAS number one WITHOUT the democrats appearing on the network. (So boycotting Fox did nothing to harm ratings.)

Progressives- "Fear of Fox": number two:

"Fox is NOT a real news channel. They will be unfair to the democrats.."

Another liberal myth.

Anyone who watched Chris Wallace interview Barack Obama, and also watched the last ABC Democratic debate, cannot say that Fox was unfair to Obama.

ABC was much tougher on Obama than Wallace was.

Hillary and Obama appeared directly into the "belly of the beast," The Bill O'Reilly's show. Obama and Hillary still have all of their fingers and toes. They seem physically and mentally OK..??

So what is your freaking problem..??

Was Chris Wallace fair to President Bill Clinton..??

Or did Wallace bring out a side of Bill Clinton that you didn't know existed?

Liberals "Fear of Fox" number three-

That just appearing on Fox might cause the democrat to wimp- out and become conservative. (OR- Somehow become "tainted" in some way- shape- or form.)

What are we talking about here..?? Some type of "tag" game? Like "cooties"? I realize we have the name calling, but do we really get "cooties" by appearing on Fox?

Dude, if your candidate is so weak, that just appearing on Bill O'Reilly will cause a melt-down, then you have bigger problems ahead of you. Good Luck..!!

Boycotting Fox News is no skin off my conservative backside.

McCain will appear on any news outlet that will have him. Every freaking channel on the dial. (Including the Food Network.) Sure, liberals will call McCain names like "McSame" and they will giggle. But his face will be everywhere. Every dam place you look.

Forcing your candidates to only appear on liberal shows is not a smart way of getting the progressive message out into the general public.

But if it works for you, I am fine with it.

Who's your daddy?

Liberals live in this child-like world where utopia is "just around the corner." Utopia is fine, wouldn't we all love to be there. But the solution that liberals have for reaching utopia is by force. Not by choice.

The liberal plan is flawed from the beginning. It relies on Forced Higher Taxes. Forced Doctors. Forced size of cars we can drive. Forced wattage of light bulbs we can use. Forced amount of toilet paper we can have in our house. Forced temperature of our house...

Force- no matter how loosely you define it, is not freedom, nor is it utopia…

AR Babonie

(note) This editorial was written with "Earth Friendly" electrons. No paper was used in the making of this editorial.

So…

I'm trying to explain to a liberal how I view national health care. Being a conservative, liberals ask me- "how can you let 50 million Americans go without health care? How can you sleep at night knowing you will vote against a national health plan? What about those sick babies..??"

We all get this question.

All of us conservatives will be confronted like this.

You take the logical approach:

You explain that we cannot afford a national health plan right now. Medicaid and Medicare are in trouble NOW- today. Within 15 years, there will not be enough money going in- to pay for the medical treatment that people will need. 15 YEARS- (That's all the time we have left)… This problem will effect everyone reading this editorial.

Social Security

is also in trouble. Within the next 25 to 30 years, SS will not have the funds to pay its recipients.

We cannot start a new program (a National Health Plan) BEFORE we fix the old ones.

If we start a national health plan now, it will be run half-assed because the money isn't there to run the program correctly.

This falls on deaf ears…

(Trust me folks, I have tried it many times.)

You will get the "blank stare", like a deer in a car's headlight.

"But other countries have a national health plan, why are we so backward that we cannot afford one..??"

It is then, that you realize that you are talking to a child.

A child doesn't want to know "How to pay for it." The child just wants it- and they want it now. That is all the child wants to know about the whole situation.

Daddy, can we get a second car because I will be 16 soon and all the other kids will have cars?

No son, we do not have enough money to pay for the first car. We cannot afford a second car right now. If you want a car, get a job and save up for a car. That is what I did.

But all the other families have second cars, why does this family SUCK..??

Folks, we are talking to children here…

They do not want to know the mechanics on "how." Nor do they want to personally work for it. They are happy if "other people" pay for it. They want it NOW, and they do not want to talk about the ramifications of this choice.

Let's move to global warming:

Dad, the earth is warming up and humans are to blame. We should do something about this…

Where did you get this information? I have never heard of such a thing..??

Dad.. You really should study some science. It's all over the place. America is the worst polluter of the planet. This family needs to save the earth.

(One month later…)

Son, I did some research and I'm not coming to the same conclusion about global warming. Some scientists believe climate change is natural. We need to talk about this..

Those scientists are bogus. They suck..!! They are oil company people.

OK.. If man causes the earth to warm up, why did the earth warm up 19,000 years ago..?? Man wasn't burning fossil fuels then..??

This sucks..!! You suck..?? You don't care about the earth. You are a "flat-earther" and you do not listen to science.

OK son, if you feel that strongly about it, then give up your car, your computer, and your cell phone and then you can save the planet..!!

You suck..!! This family is **ing screwed. I need those things. I need my car and my phone. You suck..!!

We are talking to children here, folks.

We conservatives, are trying to be logical and use facts. But we are getting nowhere because we are talking to children.

Let's try one more…

The War on terror.

Dad, why do you agree with the War in Iraq? Those people in Iraq, that you call terrorists, could be freedom fighters trying to liberate their country from an occupier- The United States. The terrorists could be like George Washington.

Son, that is silly. George Washington didn't target his own people. George Washington fought the British soldiers. He didn't bomb market squares and kill innocent people.

Yea but, we made these people mad. They are using extreme measures because of our interference. We are to blame. We shouldn't have invaded Iraq. It was unconstitutional.

Congress voted to give the president authority to remove Saddam. That made it constitutional. Saddam never followed his surrender agreement and he was shooting at American pilots. That IS an act of war. We had every reason to invade Iraq. Every reason.

But these Muslims are mad at us because we screw around in their countries. That is what caused all of this.

OK- What made Muslims mad when they attacked US ships off the coast of Tripoli in 1803? America had only been a country for 20 years. Most Arabs hadn't heard of The United States and didn't recognize our flag.

But.. But..

What made Muslims angry in 1603 when they tried to take over the earth? During the Ottoman Empire, when they were slaughtering anyone who got in their way, did America make them mad then? We weren't a country back then, Junior.

I hate this family..!! You don't care about my thoughts. You just want to prove that you are right. That is all you care about..!! I hate you..!!

We could go on with this demonstration and cover all of today's political topics. But I believe the point is made.

Liberals do not want to get involved in the mechanics of a program or the details of history. They treat the taxpayers like a servant or a butler. Liberals proclaim: "Get me a health care plan. I need it now.."

However, in typical elitist, child- like fashion…

When a program gets in trouble, a program that democrats created, (Social Security) they do not blame themselves for an ill-conceived pyramid scheme. They blame the current servants (the tax payers)- "..how did you screw up social security? Fix it now, I command you.."

Liberals are like the children of the elite.

"Get me a health plan, get it now.."

"The earth is warming up, we should tax somebody. I want you to fix this. I need my car because I am important, but you folks should drive less.."

They are children.

And how can you be mad at children..??

A child will reach an age, (it could be 16, or 36, or 66) when they will not "willingly" accept knowledge from you anymore. They MUST learn it on their own.

I am almost, (but not completely) convinced that most children are born with liberal tendencies. They do not understand how things work. Most stuff is magical in their minds. Bad things must be a "conspiracy" because there is no way bad things could "just happen."

Most of us grow up and grow out of liberalism.

But some never do.

Liberals live in this child-like world where utopia is "just around the corner." Utopia is fine, wouldn't we all love to be there. But the solution that liberals have on reaching utopia is by force.

Force- no matter how loosely you define it, is not freedom, nor is it utopia.

The child demands- "Get me a health plan and get it now.."

The adult warns- "Let's talk about this first. How will we pay for it? Will the system be better? How will the higher taxes effect people who are already over-taxed?"

If you cannot understand what I am talking about, you must head back into the world and experience more of it. And I ask you this question- "Who's your daddy..??"

If you understand what I am saying here in this editorial, welcome to conservatism..!!

We have been waiting for you.

The Human Refuge

All across America, we have set aside parks and forests that are designated- "Wildlife Refuge."

This is an area where "nature" is protected.

(Protected from WHO..??)

By design, these "wildlife refuges" are to protect nature- from you.

However, the "wildlife refuge" doesn't protect nature- from itself.

For example; the common house sparrow and a field mouse are much less "safe" in a nature reserve- filled with hungry owls and hawks.

If you could ask a sparrow or a mouse where they would choose to live, it would probably be right next door to you. Far away from the "wildlife refuge."

If we can drop the "humans are evil" mantra that is bred into every liberal / democrat's mind from birth, it's amazing how many hundreds of creatures have chosen to live near "us", as opposed to living deep in the forest.

I understand the principal behind a "wildlife refuge", in that; no one can build a shopping mall or a Hooters wing joint in the forest. (Although, more people might visit the forest if it had a Hooters Restaurant and a shopping mall.) But, I guess that is the point of a "refuge."

Keeping YOU away from it.

When are we going to build a "Human Refuge"..??

This would be a place where humans can be free.

Free to be who we are.

This self imposed "dark ages" that we force upon ourselves is quite scary to a person like myself.

Could the great pyramids of Egypt be built today?

I doubt it.

Some law or environmental restriction would outlaw the project before it got off the ground.

Could a masterpiece like Michelangelo painting of the Sistine Chapel be created today?

Not bloody likely.

Most of your top artists today shun religion. (Something they have been taught from birth.) Besides, that much effort, money, and time spent on one church would be viewed as obscene- today.

Could the aqueducts of Rome be built today? A structure that is functional- bringing water into Rome, but also beautiful? A monumental engineering feet that has lasted 1,600 years?

Probably not.

Today, with government holding the purse, we build things that will only last 100 years.

So, here we sit.

In our self- imposed "dark ages."

Humans are evil.

Mankind is no good.

And we build NOTHING that will last.

We create nothing that will remind future generations that "we were here..!!"

"We were alive once."

Oh yes, we did live.

"Do you remember- us."

At the "human refuge," you can be human.

You can do the things that humans are designed to do. Create, think, and build.

At the "human refuge," there is no BIG government limiting your creativity. You are free to explore the world. You are free to build the tallest, the fastest, and the biggest. You need not worry about the Canvas Back Duck. The duck will move out of the way. (Matter of fact, if you feed this little duck, she will probably visit you everyday- have babies, and you will have tons of Canvas Back Ducks living next door to you.)

At the "human refuge," if you worked hard and earned wealth, go ahead and build- The Pyramids. There is no "taxman" taking your money to build a bridge that will only last 50 years.

At the "human refuge," if you want to help the poor, you can. No one will force you to hand over a penny to build "swimming pools for the poor", because everyone should have a swimming pool. "It is healthy."

You can eat what you want.

You can smoke what you want.

You can marry whomever you want.

You can be human.

Great minds actually envisioned a place like the "human refuge."

It was called "The United States of America."

It is written down somewhere on dusty pages. Pages that are no longer taught in schools and no longer followed by political leaders.

The youngest are the key.

The ones who haven't been contaminated with the ideology that "humans are evil", and "mankind will destroy the earth," the youngest will be the builders and creators.

I will see it with my own eyes…

I may be an old man in a rocking chair by the time it happens, but I will smile with pride, none the less.

When a future generation breaks the chains from a "self- imposed", politically correct "dark age" and says ENOUGH…

I am good..!!

Humans are the only creatures on the face of the earth with the ability to stop a meteor from crashing into this planet. An event that probably killed more life on this planet then any other, during any time in earth's history.

We are good, and we deserve to be here.

If we do not allow ourselves to be human, and learn to grow, then we will die alongside the sparrow and the deer, being helpless to stop anything.

I visit the "human refuge" from time to time.

Today it is called: The Internet.

On the Internet; there is no big government telling me that the color "red" is not a good color for my web site. (Because red is an angry color and might offend some people.)

On the Internet; there is no big government telling me that 40% of my income should go to the taxman so that we can build a bridge to nowhere.

On the Internet; there is no big government telling me that I must limit the amount of "blog pages" because the Canvas Back Duck is running out of wetlands.

I am hopeful that this younger generation matures fast, and sets us free.

These political correct chains, from the self- imposed "dark ages" are getting mighty heavy.

John McCain and Barack Obama are promising MORE government with new rules for you to follow. Higher taxes included.

What do I plan to do about this..??

Well, I wrote this stupid editorial.

Now I plan on going outside and feeding the birds. They get mad if I am not out there at the same time each day. Generations, upon generations of birds have grown up near my house. Birds fill the trees and call out as I fill the feeder with a bucket of seeds and peanuts.

The rabbits no longer fear me as I fly by them on my motorcycle. They have grown up around me and they understand that I am goofy.

The swifts fly behind me as I mow the grass. The hundreds of bugs that I stir up with the riding mower are easy pickings for the birds to eat.

You tell me: Which is the "natural refuge"..??

A place that includes ME…

Or a place without me..??

There are hundreds of creatures that might disagree with your answer.
