Current mood: grateful
O GOD OF THE END OF THE WORLD
I am afraid to take you seriously; tell me you’re only kidding,
Show me how to be a greater fool than I already am
By making me laugh at death without forgetting my mortality.
O GODDESS OF BEAUTY IS BETTER THAN TRUTH
I am embarrassed by my need to be right all the time.
Send me your most gorgeous dropdead image, the Mother of All Visions,
The vision that outgrows and destroys all other visions including itself,
So I can see through myself when I am lying.
O WRATHFUL DEITIES OF DOOMSAYING EVANGELICALS
& DOGMATIC LITTLE BIGOTS,
I am bored to tears with my intolerances.
Grant me the enchantment to be entertained by the hidden pixie agendas
Behind all dreary, dismal grey-faced warnings so I can stop
Taking myself more seriously than the life I am actually living.
O DEMIGOD OF POETIC TERRORISM,
I am utterly and royally confused.
Make me go crazy in the name of Creation, not Destruction,
So I may freely sabotage the literalist virus immobilizing my imagination
And learn to incite riots in the minds asleep to your splendor and glory.
O GODS & GODDESSES OF EVERYBODY’S
HOLY GUARDIAN ANGEL,
I am fucked up beyond all recognition.
Trick me into not knowing whether I am really a good person or really a bad person.
Give me the wisdom to never believe my own PR and what other people think of me,
No matter how much money they pay me.
Deepen my gratitude for being a nobody in an UnWorld
Of wannabe somebodies and hungry ghosts, so I can be touched in the head
By your benevolence and tell your truths
Without wanting the credit.

For many reasons, I haven't written an erotic story in a long, long while. This one was an idea of mine from last year, but I barely got a third of it finished once I started. I think I'm back in the game now. ;)
I hope you enjoy. As always, feedback of any kind is appreciated. ________________________________________________________________
You rolled over and nestled your naked body against mine, the movement pulling me from my deep slumber. I stretched a little and drew you closer to me as I turned my head to glance at the bedside clock in a sleepy haze. Immediately, I bolted up, startling you awake as the expletive, "Shit!" flew from my mouth.
"What the..." you mumbled as my swift movements left you fumbling.
"I'm late," I exclaimed, more colorful expletives shooting past my lips.
In the middle of a yawn, you replied "So? You're the boss, you can be late... come back here." You reached for my elbow, trying to pull me down again.
"Ahh, I can't... I have that huge district meeting today, remember? I need to take the fastest shower I've ever taken in my life!"
I rushed through the bathroom door on the other side of the room. Turning on the shower, I quickly brushed my teeth and waited for the water to heat up. Nearly leaping behind the curtain, I planted myself under the hot stream. The heat seeped into my shoulders and down my backside, relaxing muscles tightened both by stress and the late night "exercise" session you and I had. I took several moments to gather my thoughts and focus on work. I could hear you enter the bathroom, turning on the sink's faucet to brush your own teeth, but I hardly paid attention as I shampooed my hair and went over the reports and numbers I had compiled over the last few days.
As I rinsed my head, I heard the chink-chink of the curtain hooks on the rod, indicating its opening. You stepped in, pulling the curtain closed again and planting yourself just a short distance away from me. Smiling, you appeared as though you thought nothing of hindering the quick progress I needed to make, so I pointed this out to you:
"Umm, sweetie," I began, my voice tinged with a slight agitation, "I need to hurry here and I can't do that sharing the shower with you."
"We both have jobs, which means I'm running late, too. It makes sense to shower together, doesn't it?" Your no nonsense expression belied the playfulness dancing in your eyes.
"Not when I'm running THIS late, honey." My impatience was beginning to show despite the enticement of your nude figure just inches from my grasp. Work, work, work was all I forced myself to think about.
Unphased, you just shrugged and grabbed the loofah sponge, reaching over my shoulder to wet it, which brought your dry skin closer to my wet skin. My nipples hardened as they brushed against the upper portions of your breasts. If you noticed, you gave no indication as your right arm reached for the bottle of body wash and said, "Then we'll be extra efficient, I promise."
The puckering of my nipples from your inadvertant contact wasn't easy for me to ignore, but my persistent work thoughts pushed their way back to the forefront of my mind. You poured a liberal amount of soap onto the sponge and massaged it to work up a good lather, then you began washing me.
I tried to grab it from you, expressing that I could wash myself faster, but you tutted me and swatted my hands away with your free one. "I'm trying to help you here, just let me do my thing" you said, as you scrubbed over my shoulders and collar bone. The suds gave way to gravity and formed various trails over my chest, down my belly and along my legs, finally disappearing into the drain.
With a quick motion, you wrapped your arms around my neck and pressed against me, rotating us in a full circle to land yourself under the shower spray. The soap made the water even more lubricating and caused our breasts, stomachs and thighs to smoothly glide over one another. Breath catching in my lungs, a silent "dammit" falling from my mouth, my hands went instinctively to your hips and pulled you closer, fingertips digging in just a little. Amazing how distracting a naked woman against me can be, I thought.
Grinning, you chided me, "No no... we need to be quick, remember?" Contradicting your words, though, you took the opportunity to wriggle your hips against mine.
"Yes, you're right, but it'd be nice if you wouldn't tease me," I groaned, glaring at you.
Your grin remained as you tilted your head back to soak your hair, which lengthened the cords of your neck. I watched, entranced, as the dark strands became even darker, as water trickled over your throat and steadily down your cleavage. Images of my tongue slipping into the crevasse as your hands flew to each side of my head raced through my brain, doing a fantastic job of distracting me even further.
I told myself I should get out of the shower. I was after all, sufficiently clean thanks to your assistance. But of course, I didn't move. I just stood there, still enchanted by you and your simple motions... almost as if this was the first time I was seeing you naked. Dammit all to hell! I thought. I couldn't help but to notice the ache now coursing through me, my fingertips tingling with the desire to touch you. I clenched my fists, though, fighting the urge to reach up and cup your breasts.
You turned around to rinse the suds from the loofah, granting me full view of your curvy backside. As the steam clouded around us, I observed as the water streamed down the toned muscles of your naturally tanned, smooth skin. My mind shifted seamlessly with your movements, picturing aligning my body against yours, my arm snaking around and burying my hand in the valley between your legs, fingers traveling nonstop to their destination...
So caught up was I in this little fantasy of mine, that I couldn't jerk myself from it before you turned around and caught my gaze. My expression had to look insanely idiotic to you. My mouth was agape and I'm sure I resembled a 16 year old boy oggling the likes of Angelina Jolie on his doorstep, crippled by the sight, tortured and unsure of what to do.
I expected you to laugh at me. Instead, you kept a hold of my gaze, smirked that to-die-for smirk of yours... and dropped the sponge.
I pressed my mouth closed and swallowed, looking down at the loofah that had landed between our feet, then back up at you. Your expression was alluring and full of challenge, immediately telling me you let the loofah fall from your hands intentionally.
I've never been one to back down from a challenge like this...
"So much for being on time," I rasped, suddenly realizing I didn't care.
Kneeling before you, I reached for the loofah and held it under the water falling behind you to rinse out the suds. I then hooked my right hand behind your left knee and propped your foot on the edge of the tub. Raising the dripping sponge, I pressed it against your lower belly, just above the neatly trimmed curls, squeezing the hot water over the mound of your pussy. You let loose a soft moan that intermingled with the spray cascading and bouncing all around us as the water tickled over your labia and clit.
Abandoning the sponge, I returned my hand to between your legs. Ever so slowly, I cupped you and slid my fingers just outside the entrance to your core, the tips slipping through the ample wetness already forming. The image of immediately plunging my fingers inside danced through my head, but instead, I shifted my hand so I could glide my thumb directly against the nub of your clit, quickly swelling from the blood rushing to fill it. Side to side I stroked, alternating the pressure from light to firm, knowing how crazy this drove you. I looked up, searching to meet your eyes... but they were closed, your teeth biting hard at your lower lip, trapping the moans in your throat, focused on the pleasure radiating through your body from this one small point. With each movement, I watched as your body literally trembled from its center and out to your limbs - your left hand flattened against the wall in an attempt to better brace yourself.
Your eyes opened and met mine, intense and full of a shooting electricity that covered my skin in goosebumps, in spite of the hot water and steam of the shower.
Keeping hold of my gaze, the hand on the wall came down and rested momentarily on the thigh propped on the edge of the tub before raking your fingers through my wet hair, clenching its shortness tightly in your hand, pulling my face to you and commanding, "Fuck me with your mouth. Now."
I was actually caught off guard by this quick movement of yours as you tugged roughly at my hair to bring my face and mouth into direct contact with the lips of your pussy, essentially crashing against you. But I recovered just as quickly as I was thrown off balance. My hands swung up to grasp your hips as I captured the plump kernel of your clit between the edge of my teeth, eagerly slurping it into my mouth. I reveled in the cry that escaped from you and reverberated over the walls as I dug my fingers into your wet skin and swirled my tongue around and around.
Proceeding downward, I darted my tongue into your now sopping wet slit, coating my taste buds with the salty-sweet essence of you. I rotated between plunging as deep as I could to sliding back to your clit and flicking directly over it. I lapped fervently, almost as though I was parched, thirsty beyond belief. You tasted so... damn... good.
Your legs were quivering so much, I was convinced you might lose your balance, so I inched closer to wrap my arms more tightly around your hips. The water was becoming noticeably less hot, but you didn't seem concerned. Your right hand was on my head, in my hair, ensuring my mouth and tongue not lose contact from this important spot. Without ceasing my persistent flicking movements over your clit, I peeked up at you... your head was tossed back, the hand on the wall clenching and re-clenching into a fist, my name flew from your mouth, tangled up in your pleasure filled moans. The edge was fast approaching.
Instead of pushing you there, though, I stopped. Pulling back and tilting my head to watch as your head swung down and your eyes shot open. They were darker, the pupils expanded, your breathing heavy, and as I leisurely and deliberately licked my lips, you shot me a look so close to hatred, I couldn't help but to laugh.
"Oh, no no no...," you ordered. "You CANNOT stop now."
I gave you my own to-die-for smirk in response, studying you momentarily. I knew that you knew I wasn't going to leave you hanging, that I only wanted to tease you, to be sure you focused on your pulsating clit for a minute. But this didn't stop you from scowling at me impatiently - almost as if you were trying to wordlessly will my mouth back to your pussy, to finish the job NOW.
The water becoming more and more cool, I leaned in once more, elongating the tip of my tongue to continue sweeping over, flicking at, bumping against and dancing around your clit. Faster and faster I went and your body picked up right where it left off... hand back to my head, hips pushing into my mouth, grinding yourself against me. Your moans were music to my ears, making me moan, too. The shaking in your legs steadily began spreading through the rest of you. Your moans became louder, shifting into cries, some with my name over and over again, echoing off the walls.
Several more strokes and I could feel you begin to stiffen, the ecstacy flowing through you evident. Just as you were about to cum, I very quickly thrust two fingers into you, intensifying your orgasm as I pushed deep, persistently rubbing my fingertips against the ridges inside. You bucked into me so hard that my mouth was forced away from you. I stayed inside you, though, once again watching you as the walls of your pussy pulsed and tightened around me, waves of bliss traveling through you. At that moment, I couldn't think of anything that felt more amazing...
Extracting myself from you, I carefully worked my way to a standing position and pressed myself against you. Your eyes still closed, you nestled into my neck and promptly sank your teeth into the muscle of my shoulder. I gasped.
"I so badly wanted to bite you as you were making me cum, but I couldn't given your location. Consider it my way of saying, 'Good job!'" you explained.
I threw my head back, laughing heartily. "Well, thank you very much," I said, turned off the water, opened the shower curtain and reached for your towel.
"What are you going to do about work?"
I smirked yet again and winked at you. "Oh, I'll work my magic somehow. I'm pretty good at it."

Breathe.
Breathing can transform your life.
If you feel stressed out and overwhelmed, breathe. It will calm you and release the tensions.
If you are worried about something coming up, or caught up in
something that already happened, breathe. It will bring you back to the
present.
If you are discouraged and have forgotten your purpose in life,
breathe. It will remind you about how precious life is, and that each
breath in this life is a gift you need to appreciate. Make the most of
this gift.
If you have too many tasks to do, or are scattered during your
workday, breathe. It will help bring you into focus, to concentrate on
the most important task you need to be focusing on right now.
If you are spending time with someone you love, breathe. It will
allow you to be present with that person, rather than thinking about
work or other things you need to do.
If you are exercising, breathe. It will help you enjoy the exercise, and therefore stick with it for longer.
If you are moving too fast, breathe. It will remind you to slow down, and enjoy life more.
So breathe. And enjoy each moment of this life. They’re too fleeting and few to waste.

Lesbians never cease to amaze me. At least most of them, anyway. I've always been in awe of those who move from one relationship to another in record time. I've had dyke friends do this and I've watched, much like a tennis match, back and forth... but there's a different person on the other side of the net each time (with the occasional attempt at reconciliation with an ex here and there).
I've also been on the receiving end of this more than once and, as you might imagine, it's not fun. I'm not perfect by any means (ok, I really am, lol), but the question begs to be asked: what, in all honesty, do you have to offer someone when you're on the rebound?
The answer?
Nothing.
Well, except some hot sex, maybe. That part is perfectly fine! I'm not into one night stands or random hook-ups, but if you're safe, I don't judge those who are. The flood of endorphins make everything seem all right for a while. I get that.
What digs at me are those lesbians who ooh and ahh over a new woman less than a month after getting out of a relationship, without taking the appropriate time to reflect on why their previous one didn't work out, but most importantly to get closure. It's all too easy to blame the other woman, to point your finger and say, "It's not MY fault, it's YOURS", and not take any responsibility just because the idea of the break-up wasn't a mutual one.
How can you go from essentially planning marriage, babies and a white picket fence (if not actually having those things) with someone to diving head first into the shallow end of another relationship?
Again, I ask:
What, in all honesty, do you have to offer someone when you're on the rebound?
And again, I say:
Nothing.
In my opinion, you're not thinking straight (directional reference, not sexual preference) and you're just covering up and ignoring something that will only come back to bite you in the ass.
Really, I'm not bitter about this... I'm just... confused.

I feel like I've posted this before as it has been a favorite quote of mine for a while (I even want to make a tattoo with the words incorporated into it). The quote resurfaced again today and I felt the need to share it. :)

An elementary school teacher gave her first graders a coloring
assignment. The sheet of paper contained an outline of different
objects like a house, trees, sky e.t..c and the children were asked to
color each of the objects with the appropriate color. Patty worked
really hard on her assignment but when she got it back, she was
surprised to see a big black “X” on it. When she asked the teacher for
an explanation, the teacher said “I gave you an “X” because you didn’t
follow the instructions. Grass is green not grey. The sky should be
blue and not yellow as you have drawn it. Why didn’t you use the normal
colors Patty?”
Patty answered, “Because that’s how it looks to me when I get up early to watch the sunrise.”

The
journey of water as it flows upon the earth can be a mirror of our own
paths through life. Water begins its residence on earth as it falls
from the sky or melts from ice and streams down a mountain into a
tributary or stream. In the same way, we come into the world and begin
our lives on earth. Like a river that flows within the confines of its
banks, we are born with certain defining characteristics that govern
our identity. We are born in a specific time and place, within a
specific family, and with certain gifts and challenges. Within these
parameters, we move through life, encountering many twists, turns, and
obstacles along the way just as a river flows.
Water is a great teacher that shows us how to move through the
world with grace, ease, determination, and humility. When a river
breaks at a waterfall, it gains energy and moves on, as we encounter
our own waterfalls, we may fall hard but we always keep moving on.
Water can inspire us to not become rigid with fear or cling to what’s
familiar. Water is brave and does not waste time clinging to its past,
but flows onward without looking back. At the same time, when there is
a hole to be filled, water does not run away from it in fear of the
dark; instead, water humbly and bravely fills the empty space. In the
same way, we can face the dark moments of our life rather than run away
from them.
Eventually, a river will empty into the sea. Water does not hold back
from joining with a larger body, nor does it fear a loss of identity or
control. It gracefully and humbly tumbles into the vastness by
contributing its energy and merging without resistance. Each time we
move beyond our individual egos to become part of something bigger, we
can try our best to follow the lead of the river.

I want you to know one thing.
You know how this is: if I look at the crystal moon, at the red branch of the slow autumn at my window, if I touch near the fire the impalpable ash or the wrinkled body of the log, everything carries me to you, as if everything that exists, aromas, light, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me.
Well, now, if little by little you stop loving me I shall stop loving you little by little.
If suddenly you forget me do not look for me, for I shall already have forgotten you.
If you think it long and mad, the wind of banners that passes through my life, and you decide to leave me at the shore of the heart where I have roots, remember that on that day, at that hour, I shall lift my arms and my roots will set off to seek another land.
But if each day, each hour, you feel that you are destined for me with implacable sweetness, if each day a flower climbs up to your lips to seek me, ah my love, ah my own, in me all that fire is repeated, in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten, my love feeds on your love, beloved, and as long as you live it will be in your arms without leaving mine

Your result for True Colors Test - A Self Inventory... NT - Scholar (Green)
Congratulations! You are the SCHOLAR. First, the bad news. On any given bad day you're most likely to be perceived as cold, arrogant, know-it-all. At times you are closed off and independent, seemingly absentminded, and have probably been told that you've got your head in the clouds. You get lost in thought easily, and sometimes you leave people back on Earth when you go off on a reverie. All of this means that you can come off as aloof and unappreciative of other peoples opinions. You know better, you're probably just smarter than them. Now that we've got that out of the way, on to the good news. You are a critical thinker and an innovator. A lifetime learner, your passion and thirst for knowledge will entertain you throughout your lifetime. You are the "ideas" person that people come to for solutions. To hell with implementing the ideas, you'll leave that for someone else to figure out. In the meantime, you're probably always eager to share solutions and wisdom with those who seek it. You're good at being alone, and probably need alone time periodically to recharge and just be in your head. You're a visionary, mentally tough, analytical and capable of meting out judgment. You are highly knowledgeable and people seek that out in you. Try not to let that get to your head. Scholar Traits:- Visionary
- Conscientious
- Calm and patient
- Sees the big picture
- Serious
- Competent
- Inquisitive
- Meticulous
- Innovative
- Insightful and intellectual
- Adaptable
- Can never know enough
