Ok, so it's been a long while since I have posted a blog, but I got a little slack time and figured I had better start to catch everyone up. What have I been doing with myself? Well, to put it bluntly a LOT of programming. It's all good though as we here at the MV Group now have our own domain to claim at http://mvgrp.org/ and I finally managed to snag my companies domain as well at http://uwxco.com/ . Along with those shenanigans we have been hard at it on all the MV Group web sites, giving MovingViolationz.com an all new layout and launching My-MV.net as well over the last month. Still in the vey early development on that one. As if that isn't enough to do I have been trying to help the crew with getting machines prepped for the upcoming riding season. My own ride has fallen to the back of the list but she is a trooper and is always ready to go, mainly she just needs her new soft shoes slipped on for spring. Why the rush? We are trying to get our first ride started on the last sunday of march for a season opener to dust the cobwebs off. Keep an eye on the site for our schedule as it develops for the year.

Well, hopefully that tides everyone over for a little bit, but expect the blogs to start coming out again as the season gets going! Thanks for all your support!

We have been working extremely long hours as of late to get all the coding done for our newest website, MVnet (http://movingviolationz.net), where YOU can be a part of our community. It's all good because the weather hasn't been much for riding, AND we want to give you a quality site sooner. We expect big things out of this site, and if you want to get in on the BETA testing while we are still developing, give the webmaster an email with I WANNA BE FIRST! as the subject and we will put you on the list! OK, back to programming.

ADD ME!

November 11, 2007 - Sunday 3:38 AM
With the weather being cold and not much riding to be had it is allowing me time to get to some serious work on the MV website. I am looking into a few new features and have updated quite a bit of the site, and introduced several new pages. Our hit count has steadily been on the rise too, with over 600 last month, and we would like to take the time to thank everyone that visits the site and hope that you find the content useful! Look for more in the future, and hope that spring comes soon!
November 3, 2007 - Saturday 11:18 PM

Thanks to all our site visitors and fans for pushing our views over the 550 mark in the last 30 days with over 200 in the last week alone! We hope you like what we have done with the site and look for some more changes to come in the future as we continue to develop! Keep up the great work spreading the word for us!

Always wear protection!

After a morning of colder temperatures and swapping tires we managed to squeeze in a few hours of riding despite the cold. Today we only had a few of us from the crew as we went down to GM for a little light cornering and back up 61. Nothing hard as the pavement was much too cold and slippery. I believe we won't have many more days ahead of us but watch the site for an announcement if we do get a chance to get out!

I have been hard at it this last couple weeks improving the look/feel of the MV website overall and adding new content useful to us riders. I hope everyone likes the new look and we will be bringing quite a few new features in the future! If you get a chance drop on in and send us a note to let us know how we are doing, feel free to give any suggestions on features that you would like to see!

Another fun sunday of riding under our belts! Today was a great day for a ride with the temp up in the 70's and not much wind. All you had to watch for was the sun and the growing number of leaves on the roadway. We decided on a quick jaunt over GM and back up 39 to get a bite to eat, then across SM and up Rt. 3 to home for a rounding of road types. Not really pushing too hard as we were all a little sketchy over the conditions this late in the year, but a good time was had by all! Remember if you're out this time of year to keep an eye out for deer and other critters! See you next sunday if the weather holds!
October 15, 2007 - Monday 1:42 AM

The temperature was definitely chilly as we started out for our ride today but warmed up nicely as we headed towards Charleston via GM to get some quick carving in. There were actually quite a few riders out taking advantage of the warmer weather down there. Only a handful of us today though so we decided to take a simple ride for a change of scenery and try out a new place to get a bite. For our way back we decided to take it easy up Rt. 61 as it is getting terrible with pavement patches, gravel and the occasional coal spill from all the truck traffic. Definitely not recommended unless you are just trying to save time/mileage. Remember that as the pavement gets colder, tire grip starts to suffer, so give ample time for warmup as fall is starting to set in! I am not sure how many more rides we can squeeze in this year, so be sure to come out before the season ends! (Of course we all know that you will be seeing me out during the winter, what's a little snow/ice to a real biker?)

October 8, 2007 - Monday 6:13 AM
This crazy october weather made for a great day to ride, except for the sun in your eyes when you are trying to corner. Not too many of us today as we headed to VA to carve a switchback road with curves so tight most were first gear maximum and a return trip up the backside of ERM. The falling leaves are going to start making trips a little tricky as they start to gather on the roadways, too, and I had one kick up and stick to my shield as we were twisting the throttle at a very brisk pace. Luckily I was on a straight and not going into a turn blinded like that. Food for thought during the fall! Overall a great ride with no incidents and everyone had a good time! You've got to love Sundays!
