Ice Ageby David S. Pointer $3.50[includes US shipping; Out-of-US add $2 for shipping] Ice Age is David S. Pointer's most recent masterpiece of social commentary and eye-opening honesty, now available from Propaganda Press. The newest poetry collection from this veteran poet maudit is book three in our Pocket Protector mini-chapbook series and will not disappoint in being a telling and lasting remark on our current government, economy, society, and way of life. Touching largely on the separation of classes, the understanding of order and place in our current system, the substandard living environments of substandard people, and what the hierarchy does (or doesn't do!) about it all. This collection is Pointer at his sharpest and most insightful, jamming 40 poems into this small pocket-sized book, each one a dagger of wit, keen observation, intelligence, and stunning imagery. An absolute must-have for your collection! All authors on our press receive royalties for each copy sold, so your purchase goes to support David directly! Purchase this book via well-concealed cash/check/money order (made out to Alternating Current) and mail to Alternating Current, PO Box 398058, Cambridge MA 02139 USA; or via PayPal to the email address alt.current@gmail.com; or purchase online at alt-current.com [available online in about a week!]. Only $3.50, includes domestic shipping (out-of-country add $2 shipping). And what is the Pocket Protector mini-chap series, you ask? - revolution calling publishes most anything. We do, however, try to keep the magazine political- and societal-issues-oriented; if you send material that does not fit that vein, it may or may not be published, according to space and content. We rarely censor the material we print, but we will not print art drawn on lined paper or homophobic, racist, or plagiarized (full or in part) material. We also try to stay away from dated material, since deadlines can sometimes be haphazard. We reserve the right to refuse to print any material we damn well please without giving you one damn good reason.
- All authors and artists must submit a release form with each submission. This form gives us permission to print your material; the form is printable off our site by clicking on "release form." Without the release form, your material will not be published.
- Material can be (most) any length (let's be courteous, please), any style, any genre, and any subject matter (with an emphasis on societal and political issues). All submissions must be in English. We reserve the right to edit any material sent (or to omit passages that do not fit our criteria and guidelines) at our discretion.
- We also accept art, photographs, comic strips, and anything else you can think of, providing that it fits these guidelines. Keep the pornography at home, please.
- Swearing is not censored. We love our First Amendment.
- Submissions are free.
- There is no set limit to how many articles/stories/artwork etc. can appear in one issue per person; we do, however, usually limit it to one submission per person per issue. If you send more than one at a time, additionals will, most likely, appear separately in different issues. Any original materials sent are subject to possible publication. Our publication is ongoing.
- We will distribute the zines on our website, as well as through other distributors worldwide. You will not receive any profits, royalties, or payment in any way. We are a co-op, not an employment service.
- You will receive two free copies of all completed books in which your material(s) appear(s). Additional copies can be purchased for the bulk prices on our distribution page. If you are a distributor, or you know someone who is, please get in contact with us, since we need all the extra exposure we can get. Wholesale and discount distribution prices are always negotiable, if you ask. Again, there's that co-op thing.
- Original materials will not be sent back, so please do not send your only copy. If it is something you absolutely need back, please let us know and include full return postage.
- It would be extra kind if you could include a stamped envelope (SASE or just SE), so we could send you a notice back. If not, that's okay, too; we'll just consider you cheap. ;)
- PLEASE PROOFREAD all material carefully. We do edit, but non-proofread material just causes unnecessary delays.
- For best clarity, articles should be sent TYPED, but this is not a requirement. If we can't read it, however, we will probably not print it. Please send us a flat copy; we will not print off disks/discs due to computer viruses. You may also send us your submissions and signed release forms via email at propaganda.x.press@gmail.com.
- You retain all original copyright (©) rights to your articles and artwork. propaganda press copyrights (©) the published zine for added protection, but all original © rights are retained by the original authors and artists.
- All work must be original. We will not print something that is a breach of someone else's copyrights (©), in full or in part, and likewise, we will not allow someone else to do the same to you.
- We prefer to print fresh, new, innovative, controversial, and previously unpublished articles. If your story has been published in every literary book from here to Timbuktu, we would ask that you keep it at home, and send in something new. There are no poems printed in revolution calling (for poetry entries, please see poiesis).
- We also feature an art cover by different artists each issue. If you have a piece of art (needs to be innovative and not childish), fill out the "release form" on this page and send the form in with your artwork (artwork needs to be unfolded and preferably unwrinkled). All artwork must be original. We keep all artwork on file for future reference. We also have the right to refuse to publish any artwork at any time at our own discretion. Tasteful nudity accepted; if the art is borderline porno, we will not use it.
- There is no deadline for revolution calling. Since it is an ongoing zine, you can send in submissions at any time, and they will always go in the next available spots, if we choose to use them. We go to print on the 1st of April, August, and December of each year.
- revolution calling also prints and gets most of its funding from ads. Ads are $20 for 1/8 or ¼ page ad. If you are interested in placing an ad in revolution calling, please check the guidelines by clicking here. Please consider taking out an ad for your project to help fund revolution calling. All checks and money orders must be made out to Indie Arts Co-Op.
If you've read this, and your eyes aren't bleeding yet, then send your articles and/or art to us, along with the release forms (see 2 and 17) and any bribes or free products you want to send us to [please note that the address on the release form is incorrect. we are in the process of updating, but please use the address below while we are updating]: alternating current c/o revolution calling 73 Oak St, Suite 1 Somerville MA 02143 USA

propaganda press prints an ongoing zine called revolution calling. The quarter-sized, thick zine comes out three times a year and contains articles by leah angstman and many various authors. revolution calling is always accepting submissions, mostly in the vein of political, commentary, or otherwise important to the interests of bettering people's minds. revolution calling exists to force people to think and to become involved with taking positive action to get results on today's issues. If we can cause just one person to take notice, then we have done our job. we accept submissions for revolution calling all year long, and it goes to print on the 1st of April, the 1st of August, and the 1st of December each year. If you are interested in sending in your article, artwork, story, comic strip, or revolutionary plea for action for consideration in revolution calling, please read all the fine print to be sure your submission is done correctly and to keep delays to a minimum. You will need to print out "the form" on this page, and send one in with each submission. Send all submissions and forms to [please note that the address on "the form" is incorrect. we are in the process of updating, but please use this address]: alternating current c/o revolution calling 73 Oak St, Suite 1 Somerville MA 02143 USA
