But hey. I miss you the hell of the loads. I missed what we had back then. We had fun with all those times. I think of you from time to time, but it's making me be so uneasy and unsure. We both know that we have our on and off days with our feelings ever since that night in spring break, and we know about each other's feelings, too, but it's hard. I'd hate to say that I'm trying to let you go, but it's hard to stick around, too. wondering if there really would be a second run with it all.

Second chances.
Always given, always taken.

Are second chances really second chances? Sometimes it's not the way it seems.
Second chances are usually the 484,489,621,654,326th chance that a person gets.

Yeah, okay, I'm exaggerating on the number, but hell, it sure does feel that way.

When you give someone a second chance, you give them a chance to make or break; to fail or succeed; to change the way a person does something or to keep doing the same mistake in repition; to watch someone help himself/herself or to watch him/her to fall back to the ground once more.

Sometimes it's not good to give second chances.

For example, when a person is in a relationship and their significant other (S.O. from now on) cheats on them for someone else, and so they break up with him/her. The person is hurt and starts to wonder what he/she did wrong to make their S.O. to do such a thing. Likewise, the cheater...er (for lack of a better term) realizes what he/she did to their S.O. and asks for forgiveness and (OMG) a second chance. He/she takes him/her back; the beginning of The Second Chance. With giving this second chance, he/she could quite possibly still be cheating on him/her. They find out once more.

And so more heartbreak is induced.
And feelings of sorrow and anger fill the mind of the cheated.

On the other hand, a second chance could be the best thing anybody could ever do. It gives the person to prove that he/she is willing to make sacrifices and changes for the better and to prove their worthiness for their S.O.'s love.
