Woo. So a week or two ago I went to the DMV finally and got my title transfer, registration, and decided to get a custom license plate for my '97 LHS. I kept bumping into the 7 character limit, and Nevada doesn't allow for non-alphanumerics so that also limited what I could pick.  I finally decided that I would go with "CIPHER," which I think is cool because it encompasses two of the things I enjoy in life:  hip hop, and computers.

Oh, fudge.  I got so carried away modding my copy of Oblivion that I couldn't play it for more than a few minutes without it crashing to the desktop with no error message when I transitioned between cells. I think I had about 30 different things including ones that were just textures unzipped (probably the culprit?) and an "autoloading" autoinvalidate thing. I'm going to have to reinstall it after wiping it out and then load a leaner set.  This gives me the opportunity to restart my game and use any mods that are better used from the beginning.  I think I may also use a pre-made face save-game so I don't have to spend hours trying to make a face that hasn't hit every branch on the way down falling out of the ugly tree.

Even though it doesn't play very well on my computer (an older P4 2.8ghz, 1gb ram, 6600GT 128MB AGP) Oblivion is eating up all my free time.  If I'm not playing the game I'm scouting out forums for cool mods, like this one:

[REL] Advanced Inns 1.0F

(This one adds some nice features to inns so you can rent them a week at a time, and have a secure place to store your stuff during that time)

[WIP] Dynamic Interior Lighting

(This one is a WIP (Work in Progress) but adds more realistic day-night cycle dynamic lighting to the interior of buildings!  Very cool!)

If you don't know who he is or you wanna listen to what he's put out over the years, just listen to Semtex's mix from this last Saturday (requires Real Audio, yeah I know some peeps don't like Real but it's worth the hassle of getting it installed to get onto the 1xtra feeds-- the WMA is only offered for the Live stream):

Of course you can listen to any of these tunes, as long as you can put up with ads on the
Drum and Bass Arena site.

So I'm new to this whole podcast thing, I'm just playing with iTunes a bit (no I don't have an iPod or anything, but my fiancee does and has iTunes on her iBook).  So far I've enjoyed the Cheap-Ass Gamers cast, and to a less extent, the Poweruser.tv cast.

CAG iTunes Podcast Link (Tokyo Game Show)

PowerUser.tv you can find the cast's off this RSS, use it as a "Live Bookmark" or put it into iTunes, or just search on iTunes for Poweruser.tv.
RSS

I listened to the latter one because it has a regular contributer named Tom Chick who is from a gaming site, which has a forum I frequent, called Quarter to Three (as in how late you stay up playing good games).
