First and foremost, I would like to pay my respects to this amazing
little girl. She was amazing in every way and literally, SHAPE AND
FORM. She had a rare disorder called, sirenomelia, or also known as
Mermaid Syndrome. It made her legs form together, just like a mermaid,
if you couldn't have guessed it. She was given only a few days by the
doctors, but she last 10 years. Amazing! She was even on national TV,
and showed the world her true spirit.
Here, is the story on Shiloh Pepin:

It's very touching, because she's just a riot. She had a very strong
loving and outgoing soul, and I know I would have loved to take care of
her like I do my own. Now, you wonder, "Her own?, What is Kelly talking
about?". Well, here it is. I have a severally handicapped baby sister.
She's my pride and joy, and it kills me every day to not see her. But
when I watched this story on TV, it reminded me so much of Nicole.
Now,
Nicole, does not have the same disorder, she actually has another Rare
one. . . the (Google for correct spelling)
agenesis of the corpus callosum-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agenesis_of_the_corpus_callosum
- Basically, she is missing the middle of her brain and is a 2 year old
in a 19 year old's body. Sad, but true. When she was born, (
a TWIN might I add, to my little brother who is perfectly normal)
the doctors kept giving her a time estimation. "She will only last till
around the age of 5. . .10. . ." Same with Shiloh, but hers were with
minutes.
Well, good news, my beautiful sister is now 1 MONTH away from
being 20 Years old 10 years surpassing the doctors estimated time. But,
of course, that does make me a little worried, in every way shape and
form. Nicole is my angel, my baby, my life. So many fights
defending her, so many laughs, tears (some right now), cuts, bruises,
pictures, vacations, memories, that I try to remember even through my
long term memory loss issues. But, still through it all, her and I are
best friends. Just
makes me wonder. . ya know?
