The latest to our discography, "The End of Wars" is finally available for purchase on itunes. My apologies for how long it has taken.
For those of you wanting a hard copy, we will be making handmade copies hopefully within a month or so. The quantity will be limited to around 50. Each cd will be unique in its own way... by the hours of blood, sweat, tears and creative thinking that is poured into making it.(I litterally plan on bleeding on one of them) So...if you want one of these sweet handmades...be patient, it will happen.
warmly,
T-Bone

Believe it or not Moorland has been a band for over four years. In that time we have played a ton of shows, recorded 4 ep's and made a ton of friends.
For all of you who were wondering: No, we are not breaking up.
What happened after Christian left the band was we all decided to take a step back from what we were doing and reevaluate the decisions we were making as a band. The desire for success in the past year or so seemed to have taken precedence over what is really important and we wanted to make sure we were doing what really is important to us.
Those things being:
1. Glorifying God and our savior Jesus Christ by embodying his teachings. We have always strived to make personal connections at every show we play and for the most part I think we have done a pretty good job (let me know if I am wrong), but I think we can improve by recentering our ministry around this idea. Also we would like to make sure we are loving our neighbor by doing things like making sure our Tshirts are not produced in sweat shops by little kids and lowering our gasoline consumption (biodesiel/svo? any tips?).
2. Making really good music. Most of writing in the past couple years has been done hastily right before we went into the studio. I'm proud of the work we have done, but there has always been this feeling among the members of our band that we could have done better. Now, with no deadlines and nothing else to distract us we are pouring ourselves into new songs, and personally I have never been happier about our music.
Rest assured we are looking forward to doing what we love to do the most, playing shows and meeting new friends. In the meantime thank you so much for your continued support. We love you very much.

FYI: The End of Wars EP should be on Itunes in the next week or two. Keep checking our myspace page, we'll let you know when it's up.

So if you've gotten this far you're probably wondering what's up.
Well to keep it short, Christian quit the band. We're not exactly sure what we are going to do about our line up, but for now it is going to remain as is and we are going to continue writing music, though we are definitely down for jamming with anyone interested in playing with us (especially vocalists and bass players). We started writing some new songs today and it was awesome. We are all still so stoked to be playing music and we will be praying that God uses us in whatever capacity he has for us, after all that's what it has been about all along (whether we acknowledged that or not).
For now we won't be pressing our newest EP, but we will be putting it on itunes and getting some hand made versions (thank you very much Matt Vukits) for you to buy if you are into that kind of thing. Our rigourous touring schedule for the summer has been reduced to two shows which means no Cornerstone :/ (btw if you are reading this and have booked us and I haven't contacted you yet regarding our cancellation, sorry I'm getting to it). Also we will have merch online real real soon.
Anyways, the bottom line this this: We're changing again, for the better, and we're stoked to have this opportunity to write music to glorify our living savior. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us this far, it never ceases to amaze me how awesome our fans and friends are. Thank you.
IF YOU ARE A BASS PLAYER OR A VOCALIST AND WANT TO JAM MESSAGE US!

I am sitting here listening to our tracks as they get bounced down before they are sent over to be mixed and mastered. We are all really happy with how everything turned out and are really excited to have you hear it.
We're all really drained as we have been pouring ourselves out into this work. Also we have been bowling our little hearts out.
Anyways, keep an eye out for more info regarding the release.

First of all if you haven't checked out our blog titled "The End of Wars" check it out.
Second if you hear some strange noises in Christian's vocal tracks that's Jamie getting defeated at Halo by yours truly (anthony, not the band).
Everything is tracked. We just have some vocals to mess around with and some post production work to be done.
Post production = the time to add cool stuff.
I am really stoked about this new stuff, it's different from stuff we have written before. I think we felt a little more comfortable experimenting with some different ideas, different song structures and more technical parts. I hope that you like it.
We went and say Be Kind Rewind last night and it was awesome. I highly recommend you go see it. I am STOKED because we are going to the cheesecake factory tonight. I wish I could bring you a piece Brett.
Go to the 180 room tomorrow night.

Day 4.
We are staying in a super nice little house in the outskirts of Des Moines with a young gentleman who goes by the name of Josh. Josh is tracking all of the noises that we have been making with our various instruments and throats. We have 5 songs almost totally done and the sixth should be completed by mid tomorrow.
Our band has been completely obsessed with bowling this week. Christian is the champion thus far with a score of 204. I (anthony) bowled a 115, more than double the score of any other time I went bowling in my whole life.
Check our last blog for a contest. We'll holla at you asap.
That's what she said,
Moorland

Right now we are sitting in a recording studio in Des Moines Iowa. Things are going really well, we have one whole song tracked and are working on the drums for two other songs right now. When we are finished we will have six songs that we are going to be releasing on an EP which will be titled "The End of Wars".
We are having a contest.
There are two reasons for having this contest: (1) To promote our upcoming release and (2 and more importantly) to explore a difficult idea that is near to all of our hearts.
The contest is going to work like this: Make a blog on your myspace or anywhere else that you do your blogging discussing the idea of ending war and if you are a Christian than talk about what your role as a follower of Christ is in order to create a more peace filled world or maybe you don't think that wars can end, talk about it. Also mention our forthcoming release "The End of Wars" and when we give a release date include that in your blog. The blog with the largest discussion will win prize pack that will include a copy of our new EP as well as a plethora of other things. So get blogging! Leave a post on here when you do and we will check it out!
