So evidently I picked a bad time to upload the new songs based on the fact that the new Myspace music player was being loaded. Anyway, the demos are up and available for all of you... hope you like where I'm going with the new stuff.

Proof that I am indeed working-- I've put up two VERY ROUGH demos that will likely be on my upcoming album The Path We're On. "Come Home" was actually written and recorded in the span of the last two hours, all in one take, so it will probably end up sounding completely different by the time you hear it on the album. "Sometimes" was one of the first new batches of songs I came up with specifically for this album (and in case you're wondering, yes, that's a fan in the background). Feedback is always a plus, but I just wanted to give you guys a nice little taste of what's coming. Enjoy!

Hey kids,

Yes, I'm still alive and here to tell you that I'm still hard at work but am (of course) promising new things that are on the horizon.

First and foremost, I'm adding a bit more recording equipment that will hopefully give me the new sound that I'm striving for.

Secondly, I'm trying to trim down the songs that I have to figure out how I want these next couple releases to go. I can guarantee that one of them will be a freebie, a full length rock mixtape if you will-- how it's going to sound? I've no idea... I'm going in a million different directions so I'll eventually choose one (maybe a bit electronica-influenced?).

The other album will be a bit more of a proper Soapbox Theory release-- definitely more folksy than Baby Blue with a couple of rockers, but I promise you it'll sound much much better than anything I've put out before. I'm all about getting better, you know?

Last, but certainly not least, I'm working hard as much as my life will allow me to, working on my material to see how it would work in a live-performance setting. Yes kids, that means concerts. We'll see how it all shakes out.

Hello beautiful people out there on this crazy thing we call Myspace...

I know it's been a while since I last wrote on here, but I appreciate that people are still coming to my profile and listening to my tunes and all that. Despite appearances, I assure you I've been keeping busy music-wise, and you'll probably see the results of that very soon.

Now I heard some of you say, "How busy are you exactly Tommy?" Well, I've written close to 20 new songs already, and when you combine that with the 30 others that I left on the cutting room floor prior to making Baby Blue that's a lot to go through. As such, I just might be releasing a FREE (yes, as in FREE ninety-nine) album just for you guys.

Ordinarily I would stop there, but that's not all. I'm hoping to continue working on The Path We're On and get it out possibly as soon as the end of the year. When that time does come around, I'm seriously also going to be looking at starting a few live gigs. So that's the other big news.

Last, and certainly not least, there's a possible side project coming up that could be rather exciting. I don't want to go into too many details, but just know that's on the horizon.

So, in summary we've got:
1) Soapbox Theory is writing songs like a madman
2) Soapbox Theory will be releasing a FREE album sometime soon
3) Soapbox Theory's sophomore release The Path We're On may very well be released by the end of the year.
4) If things work out, I'll be doing some live shows (finally!)
5) Possible side project.

Sometimes you have to take life into your own hands...

So I've hit a bit of a speed bump in terms of releasing the album, but no fear, it's still coming. As a matter of fact Baby Blue will be on sale via that handy SNOCAP store on this very page starting 4/29. For those of you that like your iTunes and Amazon downloads, I can promise you that the album will shortly be available on both sites (and will be available internationally via iTunes, for those of you in another country).

In a perfect world, all of you would've been enjoying my blood, sweat and tears for a little over a week now, but it doesn't always work that way-- lesson learned. That being said, please don't give up on me, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this thing called making music, and I want to share it with all of you.
