INHUME - "In For The Kill" 2003 Osmose Productions
One of the most insane albums EVER - 95% [Written by Cuntaminated / metal-archives.com]
This album, without a doubt, is one of the most insane and bizarre albums I have ever heard. Just when you think that Holland had pushed the boundaries of brutality for death metal, bands like Inhume just poop out of nowhere. Well, I shouldn't say "bands like Inhume" exactly because this band is just in a whole new different level of brutality and originality. Genuinely speaking, I don't even know of any band in the world that can top Inhume's brutality shown in "In For The Kill". This album is officially one of the most insane albums out there for many reasons…
Can you imagine the stamina required to play this music of this high of caliber? I challenge you to think about that for a minute after you're done listening to the entire album.
Again, I want to emphasize how relentless this album is – not one (and I mean not ONE) track will give your ears a break. They do not drop ANY beat, riff, scream, or blast beat whatsoever until the last seconds to the last song, 'Retreat From Morality'. Not to say that the drums are 100% blast beats, but it's really up there with bands such as Belef and Disavowed. Other than that – this album is a total fucking bludgeon of riffing from beginning to end. The relentlessness of this album will have you on your knees, as if your balls were to be getting squashed, and you would be gasping for air. Some of the songs have a sense of Grindcore, or I should say… most of them. The pounding and audible bass guitar lines done by Loek Peeters are undeniably heavy. You will be headbanging your head with a mix that appears to be brutal death metal (like, seriously brutal), with that touch of Grind that brings out a lot of punk-ish and enjoyable moments, guaranteed.
The audio quality is surprisingly very good, and it even sounds better than a lot of the mainstream stuff. Everything is arranged perfectly, and I'm really surprised at how this album turned out to be; almost flawless. I seriously wonder if other record studios have the right equipment to make Inhume's stuff sound the way it's done with this album. Every instrument is just so goddamn loud, I just almost run out of words to really describe the satisfaction that this band brings to the table.
The vocals are officially my favorite type of screams/gutturals of all times, period. Yeah, they are really that brutal and disgusting – Inhume has two vocalists: Dorus Van Ooij & death metal/grind God Joost Silvrants. Both vocalist have disgustingly yet overwhelming gutturals and grunts that I've never heard before. Vocalist Joost Silvrants takes the full credits though; I don't think no one can do the type of vocals that he does. Seriously, you can forget about Dani Filth being the most "high-pitched vocalist" ever, because Joost goes even higher than Dani Filth. And the gutturals; MY GOD… the gutturals are so fucking deep and monstrous. Not even Devourment's ex-vocalist can go this deep, not even Disavowed's Robbe Kok (even though I hate to compare Robbe's vocals to anyones, since they kick serious ass).
The lyrics are also offensive and disturbing to normal people. Inhume deals with a lot of society fuckups, and there are plenty of violent themes to be found on this album. But hell, I don't even understand how bands from this country can be so full of anger and aggressiveness. Holland is not even big, and it is considerably one of the smallest countries in the world. Not to mention how calm the people seem to be; Holland is usually a calm and peaceful country, but for some reason they seem have one of the most hateful black metal acts in the world, and their death metal scene doesn't compare to anyone's (as far as brutality goes).
And did I mention how brutal and devastating this album was when I first heard it? I almost didn't like it because of the relentlessness of the music itself, that's how brutal it was. For me to say that this band was almost too brutal for my taste… that says A LOT. My taste has changed a lot prior to the last 3 years, and this album is a true masterpiece for me. Though this band and album is not for everyone out there, Inhume is a band that's so brutal that you really have to require a taste to really appreciate this talented dual of skull pounding guitars, machinegun-like drums, and insane/bizarre vocals that would give little children nightmares (literally).

8/10 [Kari Koskinen / INFERNO MAG - Finland] Without any doubt, this is the best Inhume ever. Goregrind with two-minute average songlength topped by excellently clear and crushing production. Songs, which use grind and death metal elements, are played with muting enthusiasm, and the vocalists excellent contribution guarantees the quality. The basics are handled with mere perfection.
Inhume + superproductie = blind grind aanschaffen. Wat kan het leven soms eenvoudig zijn…
----------
Das Brüll-Kreisch-Frontduo geifert dabei durch leckere Titel wie ..Blood Orgy At 7th Street.. und ..Incineration Of The Body By Own Will...
----------
8.5/10 [Xander Hoose / www.chroniclesofchaos.com] Dutch death-grinders Inhume have found a new home at Osmose and celebrate it by treating us to their brand new album "In for the Kill", a sixteen song journey into the depths of torture, mania and mayhem. Those familiar with their previous albums don't need any further introduction and only need to be assured that the songs are even more violent and the production has turned up a notch. Those not familiar with the band should feel very ashamed of themselves, and then be on their way to the record store. Why? Tight drumming, a dense bass-guitar layer, and excellent grunting -- guttural, yet reaching highs and lows in frequency. Inhume is still top-notch entertainment for those who've become bored with Cannibal Corpse's umpteenth album yet refuse to sacrifice listening to quality material.
-------------------
[Highly recommended!!! http://hot.ee/voit/week36.htm] Over the years Dutch death/grinders INHUME made quite a name for themselves via various tape and 7" releases, and their killer debut full length done over 2 years ago With their recent signing to French label Osmose the band hopes to broaden their horizon, making more brutal metal fans aware of their superb pounding death metal! No less than 16 full-in-your-face tracks are torpedoed on you, leaving you fully breathless! Fuck technical virtuosity, this is full force grind!
-----------
[8/10 www.metal-observer.com] "In For The Kill". Well, it's obvious that those nice Dutchmen haven't come here to amuse you, but mostly to decimate your ranks with their ranger boots, and then to achieve you with baseball bats… This Grindcore band has already begun to get its name out lately, but now they are opening to themselves the door that will give them the access to the first league, with an album that really efficient in this violent Grindcore style. It's blasting all the way, the drummer is on full speed, the guitars are really strong and groovy, and the singers are tearing their voices apart, whether singing like a huge disgusting pig, or like a profound psycho locked in an asylum. "In For The Kill" will make you remember the best years of Grindcore, may it be with old CARCASS or REGURGITATE. Of course, those who don't like noise that much will go elsewhere and check if we're still there, but anyway, after a few beers, here's a band that will give you some energy and the will to go headbanging while kicking your neighbours!
-----------
8.5/10 [Roy © Rockezine] What do you get when you combine insane screaming vocals, unearthly guttural vocals, a frantic drummer, barbaric string bashers and one of the most intense live performances I..ve ever seen? INHUME off course!!! These Dutch intestine tossers have built quite a respectable name for themselves and with their latest output In For The Kill their star will rise to even greater heights.
16 tracks of insanely aggressive gore grind are fired upon the innocent and if you..re not man (or woman) enough to endure it you get hurt. Hurt really bad…which is what Inhume are aiming for off course. This is an ongoing avalanche of superior played grind with lyrics literally splattering in your ears, puked out by a duo of depraved vocalists. When the blood and puss is dripping out of your ears and you beg for mercy they will surely not give it. Never! Track after track grinds the bones of the unlucky that fell into the clutches of these psycho..s.
With this type of music it..s essential you listen to it a few times before you judge it. The first time you listen to the album all the tracks sound more or less the same and the album rages on and on like a bull on speed, but after a few times the tracks will get their own identity more and more. Track 11 for example, "Bowel Movement" was also recorded for the Osmose promo which was later released as part of the Dutch Assault Compilation released by Relapse (a review can be found here ). This is my personal favorite but maybe this is because I already knew this track some time. Anyway, listen to In For The Kill and prepare to be shredded to pieces.

------------

[Felix / www.vampire-magazine.com] Most grinders are already familiar with one of the leading acts from the Dutch grindcore scene, Inhume. Quite a few releases have already settled the name for a huge amount of sicko's all around the world. The heaviest strike was done with their debut album "Decomposing From Inside", which was released by the highly acclaimed label Bones Brigade. The band gained the main attention of both fans and press, it got great reviews and that is why everyone was waiting for the follow-up by these Dutch rotten freaks!
It was a long wait for the die-hard fans. Three long years for the new attack… But let's be honest, this was worth even a ten-year long wait if necessary. Goddamn, I have been blown to bits and pieces by this new album. Some people say that the first album won't ever be equalled. Fuck them! This is far more brutal and the main thing is not a musical change, because the that's somewhat the same from its predecessor, but it's a production-aspect that made this album being one sickening maggot pile. The main thing that pops in mind while playing the album is something like: "Damn, this is pure terror". The hysterical vocals, the immense speeds and the thundering drums make this just one rush, for the first listen. More spins will turn your mind, and this one will develop itself in to a revolting clot of rotting bowels, which is called Inhume. Definitely and indispensable Inhume. I have nothing to complain actually, but I would like to hear some more slow and groovy parts. That makes this album a little more varied, but that doesn't make this album a band one. Because if you like a fucking heavy grindcore album, pick this one. And play this LOUD you pussies!

[Chrispy / www.full-strength.net] Inhume 'In For The Kill' 2003 | Osmose/MIM Inhume have unleashed their sick madness once again in the form of a mutilated piece of grotesque art named "In For The Kill" , which is the follow up to their disgusting debut "Decomposing From The Inside".
There is no mercy here, only full steam ahead grind in its filthy best , if you are expecting something nice , go somewhere else , because here you will find maggot ridden , chainsaw guitar laden ,blast beat hammered artistic filth in its very ugly form.
There is absolutely no question that Inhume do what they do well, it seems that there is starting to become quite a stir (for a better word…) for grind in its extreme form that is represented all the way through "In For The Kill". These guys have what it takes to make you sick and regurgitate every single note on this album and for this full marks go to them.
The production is flawless in its relation to the music and with song titles like "Fucked With Paranoia", "Blood Orgy At 7th Street " and the brutal "Genetic Intervention" , who would want it to sound as if it came out of a crystal clear production house, this is where "In For The Kill" has character . Standout songs for me where "Scourging" , " Profound Presumption " and "Inhume".
If you are looking for something with a bit of extra kick in your diet then "In For The Kill " is just what you need.
------------
[www.musketeerofdeath.nl] With their second full length the Dutch maniacs of Inhume deliver the filthiest album of the year. The album is full of soiled grunts, disregarded growls, crumpled screams, drums as tight as the body of Elle Macpherson, guitars with the intensity of a blast-furnace and a vicious dirty bass that make your blood boil.
This well organised cumbersome violent noise attack is divided into 16 deathly grind masterpieces. The production is major which gives the album a very rich brutal sound. It makes cotton buds unnecessary to get your earwax out. It feels as if the band is playing behind you on full power and attacks your auditory centre. Never has a torture orchestra been such a pleasure. So watch out, because the glorious convulsions of this death squad are driven on anger and could be your fatal crash. But if you know how to handle it, it's like heaven on earth, as if you're having sex with Salma Hayek in "From death till dawn".
Inhume definitely steamroller their opponents and "In for the kill" is the inaccessible merciless ruler of the year.
-------------
[Pim / www.quintessence.sh] Dutch grinders Inhume are back with their second full-length after 3 and a half year. It's their debut on Osmose and it's a fucking smack in the face. 16 tracks of relentless grind and played as tight as an infant's arsehole. The album was recorded almost live in Franky's Recording Kitchen and it really sounds brutal. The sound is really good if you compare this to the big pile of grindcore releases. In for the Kill is also the last recording on which you can hear vocalist Johan, who has left the band. But according to their last live-performances they managed to get a proper replacement to carry on in the dual vocal-style Inhume always had. There's really not much more to tell about this album 'because it simply speaks for itself when listening to it. Indeed one of the most brutal releases from Holland this year.
-------------
Tudo aqui é feito a base de extrema brutalidade e profunda agressão, sonora e retórica, pois títulos como "Bitch Redecoration", "Fucked With Paranoia", "Blood Orgy At 7th Street" e "Sodomizing Encounter" não me deixam mentir.
--------------
--------------
---------------
Herrlich!
---------------
86/100 [Mat-Core / www.metalrage.com] Okay okay. If you're a Dutch grindcore fan, you'll know that I'm far too late with this review because this album was released in September of this year. But for the people who still care, here comes the pain!
Normally you'd expect a reasonably soft intro to a CD, but not this one. No you get immediately thrown into the living hell that is Inhume. "Incineration Of The Body By Own Will" is the first track that will start incinerating my hearing organs. And immediately on this track you'll notice how great they are at making grindcore. Really really good drumming, a brutal bass distortion, screaming mad guitars and some vocals that will your mother burn your CD and send you to church. But hey, it's time to grind!
Numbers to be told about on the musical territory are "Inhume" for it's brutality and speed (while you can say that about almost every song!), "Prelude To Human Confinement" for being even more brutal en shorter (41 seconds to be exact), "Decimated Content" for having a really cool drum intro followed by a bassdistortion that I find so fucking cool! "Profound Presumption is also a really brutal but short track, it lasts about 28 seconds of braintorturing soundwaves. Cool!
Then I just have to make a comment on some of the lyrics. There are a couple of cool ones, like "Genetic Intervention" which is against cloning, and "Blood Orgy At 7Th Street" which is about killing hippies. Fun! But then again there are also songs about puttingyour phallus in a cow, called "Sodomizing Encounter" and one about having to take a shit, dubbed "Bowel Movement". But you know what they say, extreme music, extreme lyrics. But then again, I can't make out most of the lyrics anyway so it doesn't bother me that much.
Although a lot of the songs don't last longer than 2 minutes this is a fantastic album. Sixteen songs in 32 minutes of the extreme shit on this fucking rotten planet. Anytime, anyplace, anywhere! I really like the bass sound on the album because it makes such a violent noise you just start to smile if you're a bass player. But if you're a drummer, many people tell me that they consider this drummer to be the best death metal/grindcore drummer from Holland, so check it out. The vocals are really good too.
I certainly don't doubt that we will here more from this fantastic band and I cant wait to hear their next album. Guys, keep on grinding!
----------------
HIGHLIGHT!!!

INHUME - Chaos, Dissection, Order Osmose/Rough Trade - www.myspace.com/inhume
Aardschok Magazine 97/100 [Steven Smegma]
" Ever since I've heard about Inhume, I've constantly pondered what their name meant, but I kept forgetting to find out. Thanks to this review I finally remembered to look it up! Inhume is a word that means "to bury; to place in a grave", and it all makes sense now, I've finally figured out their mission. They want to kill us all by a global aural assault of crushing brutal grind/death metal, yet I feel it's strengthening my will to live so I can continuously bang my head to their music. Hell, even if it did kill me, I'd be starting a zombie mosh pit faster than you can say "Dr. West was a genius" (everybody should read Re-Animator by H.P. Lovecraft, damn it!). Inhume is just one of those bands that no matter what, you will immediately stop what you're doing and pay attention to the music and kill every single human being that is within twenty feet of you. This has been proven by me killing multiple previous roommates due to their last couple albums, In For The Kill and Decomposing From Inside. It still bothers me that this band has been around for 13 years and there is not nearly enough recognition for these guys.
I had to try my hardest from having an orgasm after I opened up the packaging, and somehow I was able to contain myself. Salivating and jittery, I slid the disc into my surround sound system, and I was immediately struck with an intense urge to headbang. My head was spinning, and I thought to myself "My God, they've done it again!". Seriously, these guys benefit from what I call the "Bolt Thrower Effect" (will be from now on mentioned as BTE). The BTE is when a band never changes their style, because they know what works and shouldn't try to fix it. As I'm sure most of you know, the band Bolt Thrower has basically been putting out the same album for nearly two decades and they just get better each time. Thankfully, Inhume took notes and have nearly perfected the BTE, thus giving us 13 years of brutality that I'll never get sick of. I almost like to think of Inhume as a psychological band, because they always seem to tap the deepest and darkest parts of my mind, flushing out some of the worst and most sadistic mental imagery (or lyrics) I can imagine, and this has happened with no other band except for them.
Anyway, back to the album at hand. The first song is Superior Existence, and you sure as hell know what you're in for when you hear the very first chunky and fast death metal riff, and you're in for a good brutal time. Each song is a new adventure filled with dismemberment, serial killers, perverted sexual acts that are illegal in most parts of the world, misanthropy that even the most grim and frostbitten of black metal bands would be envious of, and so forth. The gurgles and blood-curdling screams from Joost Silvrants (vocals) and Dorus van Ooij (vocals) are enough to make men like Saddam Hussein, Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler cower in a corner and cry in the fetal position, wishing they've never been born. Meanwhile, Harold Gielen (guitar), Ben Janssen (guitar), Loek Peeters (bass) and Roel Sanders (drums) band together and commit mass-murder in every single third-world country you can think of. You continuously go down the line of songs and each one is memorable in its own way, and even if the song titles aren't the most original things ever written, tracks such as Plague Injected, Oppressing The Weak, Retaliate, Hate/Kill and Bewildered By Rage are easily some of the best of the year. Chaos Dissection Order is 16 tracks of pure hatred and gore-infested thoughts, and each one of those tracks is under two and a half minutes (except for Hate/Kill, which comes in at a whopping 2:54!).
Inhume has always been a band that has tried to stick their guttural and messy roots and it seems as if they'll never ever deviate from the formula that makes me love them so god damn much. I've talked about their formula for a while, yet I've never explained what the phenomenon behind it is. After my three or four years of listening to this band, I feel that I can safely say I know what their formula is. Nearly every single song I've listened to by them starts out with an incredibly catchy musical introduction, then quickly leads into a torture chamber of slower grind-elements that rips your face off, then going onto a more energetic and even catchier riffs coupled with lots of blastbeats and the usual grunt or scream. To me, this clearly goes with the BTE. They constantly increase the intensity of their sound, but never change. Normally that is a terrible thing for most bands to do, but there are truly few who can continuously build upon one realm/aspect of metal and make it still sound heavy as hell. Seriously, Inhume's musical intensity is something to behold, and every single song on this album has taken elements form their previous full-lengths and kicked it up a notch on Chaos Dissection Order.
I will leave you all with some words of wisdom: This album is made by true metalheads for true metalheads. This band is no gimmick and neither are any of their albums. If any of you are fans of brutal grind/death metal as much as I am, you will absolutely love this album. If you're a person who loves power metal and Dungeons & Dragons, you'll probably hate this album but you should listen to it anyway. Chaos Dissection Order is certainly in the running for best album of the year, even if not a lot of people have heard of it or the band."

INHUME "Chaos Dissection Order" OSMOSE
Harking from the Netherlands, Inhume are purveyors of some of the finest gore grind known to man. Devoid of bullshit samples, boring intros or messy productions, this potent record will take your face off with its tight musicianship and killer songs, each track packed with real groove and memorable riffs as opposed to the lightning fast 'fodder licks' that so often end up on such releases. The drumming is superb and is afforded real punch thanks to the quality production but it is the dual vocals of Dorus van Ooij and Joost Silvrants that really steal the show, a combination of low-end growls and possessed shrieks that spar with one another and enthrall the listener. Acts such as Regurgitate are a good reference point but frankly if you've heard 2003's 'In For The Kill' then you'll know what to expect as the musical evolution between the two releases is barely traceable. No criticism however, for this album, like the one that came before it, manages to be an adrenaline pumping experience throughout, no mean feat for a band working within such a narrow musical frame.

--------------------------

Not sure whether the Dutch death grinders are paying a subconscious tribute to the disbanded American band Order From Chaos here or not, but either way this album kiiiiilllllls! Vrrrrooom! from the moment the album's first song Superior Existence (indeed!) kicks off to the closing moment of Hate/Kill "Chaos Dissection Order" showers the listener with the fastest slab of extremeness this side of a Cephalic Carnage album. Speed up early Dying Fetus, bring in compatriots Prostitute Disfigurement and howling vocals that compete with the other Osmose band Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition and Inhume is not going to leave any speed freak wanting.
Chaos Dissection Order is the sub-genre's Reign In Blood. The blare of music leaves nary a room for riffs, but this sucker does not slow down for anything. There are 16 tracks on this disc and each title would constitute an adequate description of the band's approach. [Ali The Metallian] ---------------------------------------------

After two years of delay, "Chaos, Dissection, Order" is finally out, third goddamned blasting piece of bulldozing goregrind from Holland. Actually using the term goregrind in its common meaning is a bit restrictive. Inhume are extremely HEAVY, and surely grind as well, the guitars are loose and rocking although not in the classic Neuropathia way. There is more heaviness and no groove here, which in the end I believe is for the better. The sound is accurately balanced, every element well cut in the mix and the guitar sound boulderish but not dirty. It's like the heaviest you can go without a muddled sound. The drum stile is the same as in the killer "Decomposing from Inside" but as it happened with "In For The Kill", things have gotten even tighter here.
There are just a couple of tempo variations in the middle of the album, but for the rest it's ultra fast blasting all the time, with early Mick Harris like bursts but without all the socio-political bollocks of classic grind. Fully graphic gore lyrics and artwork, double guttural vocal assault, and a ultra-dense sound make this new Inhume hit another mallet strike right in the middle of the forehead of Jesus. Ah. There is not much digression here, everything is to the point without fucking frills. Inhume is still one of the leading Brutal Goregrind bands from Holland, bar none. I guess one has to be more into the second album than the first but hey, is this a fucking problem? If you manage to see them live, they're also a great band on stage.

Goed werk dus.

INHUME/Chaos, Dissection, Order (Osmose Productions) This was some death/grind metal and yes it is very, very fast. The vocals I am not a huge fan of, the low guttural style, but the music is killer. The band just tear through tune and tune of death/grind metal the right way. No cheezy blast beats, this band do it the real and right way. The band also slow it down enough and don't go a million miles every second. The guitar sound is killer and I like the production, not over produced.
If your into the DEATH/GRIND thing, I would say this is one release that is a must have!

Inhume "Chaos Dissection Order" Osmose Productions Ultra brutal, ultra grinding and ultra sick Death Metal from this infected Dutch band. Their third album is packed with brutality to its neck, groovy bits ..n pieces of razor-sharp rotten tunes of utter decay. They know what they are doing, and I don..t think they care about your decomposing skin as you turn rotten with this massive power brutal album. Cool riffs, some brutal groove and a lot of traditional brutal grinding madness. It..s just fantastic! (w)

It's been quite a nice surprise to hear this new production from Netherlands INHUME. This new production entitled "Chaos, Dissection, Order" is plagued with brutal grinding madness!! Starting with fucking fierce and brutal riffs, low and high vocals on the 1st track called Superior Existence, this album never stops! it stomps on your fucking head all along. As many other bands in this genre, you can't tell when a song ends and when the next one starts (which is not a bad thing at all). Some segments are clearer than others. It is very interesting how INHUME experiments with the rhythm changes, in the first 3 songs you can't get any fucking rest, they are fucking brutal, really fast! then in the 4th they include slower but brutal changes, goddamn fierce. Next track also includes punkish rhythms ideal for moshing and the brutality continues in the upcoming tracks! No rest whatsoever. The sound in the album has a clean finish, but does not diminish the work in any sense, you can hear every instrument to its full extent, nothing gets lost and all the elements have a good balance over all. At some point, I think this kind of music could have allowed a dirtier sound, but that would be touching a very fragile line. As you approach to the end of the album, you can hear influences of classic Grind, take Dismal song for example, starting with a bass line, evolving beat, only to own your ass with brutality until the end of the song. If you like extreme Death/Grind with good quality, this album is for you.

GEILES TEIL!

Almost one year and a half after its recording, the third full-length album of the dutch combo Inhume sees the light of day. Having discovered the band during the 2003 tour with Exhumed and Cephalic Carnage, I was anxious to hear the successor of the powerfull "In for the Kill" (2003), and I can say that I'm not disappointed! Once again, the listener is hit by a huge amount of brutality with a devastating grindcore which destroys everything on its passage. Inhume goes straight to the point, without useless ornaments nor long intros. There is neither guitar solos, which doesn't displease me. The two singers, Dorus and Joost, are complementary and infuse the pieces with a large amount of hardly controlled rage, going from cavernous growls to overshrill screams which remind me of Brutal Truth. This "basic" music which sounds almost like punk sometimes, contains some death metal riffs and some more "groovy" passages between two intense blastbeat sessions, which avoids the fall into a linear rut. While listening to the 16 pieces of this album (for hardly a half hour of music), I imagine that the band recorded them live : the energy that comes ou of this music gets you in the guts! On the visual side, the cover art of Misja Baas is very classy and sober, a bit far from the usual gore visual that one can find in grindcore.
All in all, you won't have a big surprise with this new album, but Inhume is right where it is awaited, and it feels good!

http://metalreview.com 10/12
We all like to get our grind fix in different ways. Some of us like it drenched in gore, raw as you can get, and designed to offend. Then there's the completely soulless, mechanical, nihilistic grind that occasionally brings some punk into the fray. There are more types, and they all have their place. Personally, I like my grind inhumanly fast, guttural as all get out, and precise. Even when it's relatively "loose", staying tight is a sticking point for me. While I've heard earlier Inhume material, honestly, it just didn't stick with me for too long because I remember it sounding a little too raw and sloppy for my liking.
Old grudges don't die too hard though, and the latest anxiously-awaited full length from these Dutch bringers of blood is obviously an album created by a band that has no desire to ingratiate themselves into a wider listening audience, and what they've come up with, my friends, is sheer wickedness!
The word 'maturity' is often viewed as a major red flag, but spin after spin of "Chaos Dissection Order" shows Inhume displaying growth on all fronts. The production is ideal, the songwriting stays brief, always purposeful, and the musicianship is technically unshakable. Through these 16 intensely heavy tracks of varying grooves, inhuman vocals, and well-focused blasts, these guys seem to have taken a logical step into a more substantial, memorable direction without making their music more accessible to unaccustomed ears. It was great to hear them unleash mighty Obituary riffs during the title track, before launching into a thrashing groove complete with regulation gore pig squeals, but the majority of the tunes here sound like lessons learned straight out of The Gospel of Nasum. There's no sense in searching for anything innovative here, but songs such as "Dismal", "Plague Injected", Abhorrent"" , the strongly Nasum-esque (think Shift, specifically) "Grind Culture", and "Hollow" mix flawless blends of chainsaw riffing, cruel speed, and painful grooves into an undeniably potent concoction.
With the shortest song lasting slightly past the one-minute mark, and the longest tune hitting an epic length of 2:54, "Chaos Dissection Order" hits fast, doesn't waste time on many boring or safe riffs, and makes every track count for something. The overall vibe sounds warm and natural, the guitars lack any sort of unfriendly distortion and come across clearly enough so that when the speed gets turned up to rocketing levels, the music doesn't turn into a mess of noise. The drums, most notably, have an absolutely superb tone, and the way the vocals sit in the mix brings out the strength of the relatively average vocal delivery, which is the only really unremarkable part of this effort.
As much as I liked The County Medical Examiners "Olidous Operettas", and "Slaughter And Apparatus" by the ever-dependable Aborted, Inhume forcibly shove both those bands out of the way with teeth bared and jaws snapping, establishing dominant territory on "Chaos Dissection Order". By far, this is the strongest grind album I've heard in the past few months, and does much to separate the wheat from the chaff in the scene during this still-early part of 2007. Sick!

[From the No Tolerance website which hasn't been updated in a while and i've also put this news on our own website on 30-11-2004 so i guess this release is taking some time hahaha]
"We've decided to put out an album that pays homeage to the grind gods NAPALM DEATH. This release will be awesome, since we got some amazing bands that will be on it. How about VOMITORY, MISERY INDEX, REGURGITATE, MASSGRAV, REALIZED, HELLNATION, SAYYADINA, ROTTEN SOUND, NOISE A GO GO! (ex GBN), PIG DESTROYER, EXHUMED, CYNESS, LOCK UP, BURST, CRETIN, FLYBLOWN, INHUME + lots more! We've been talking with Mid who has done some great artwork for NAPALM DEATH during the years. Hopefully he will have some spare time and help us out. We want this tribute to be something really special, and not just another "tribute album". Important: Please DON'T write us and ask if your (totaly unknown) band can be on this tribute. I can't stress this enough! I'm already drowning in mails regarding this. We pick bands that we really like and listen to. I sure hope everybody can respect that!"

We already recorded our to track contribution to this awesome tribute ("From Enslavement To Obliteration" and "Instinct Of Survival") in 2005 while recording "Chaos Dissection Order" so let's hope this fukker will be released soon!!!
