The 2009 AQHA World Championship Show Program will be mailed separately from The American Quarter Horse Journal this year.

            The program is free to Journal subscribers, but you must order it by August 15. Look in your June and July issues of the magazine for a tear-out card. Fill it out and send it in so you can read the names of the World Show entries.

            If you can’t find your card, you can call (800) 291-7323 or go online to www.aqhajournal.com to order your World Show program. It will be mailed at the end of October.

            If you’re not a Journal subscriber, you can order a program for $5. Subscribers can order additional programs for $5 each. The program will also be available for $5 at the World Show.

Your Chance to Learn About Western Pleasure

If you spend much time at horse shows, you have probably already noticed that the western pleasure classes are usually the largest. You probably also know at least one person who participates in western pleasure. That's because the event is extremely popular with AQHA members!

Today marks the release date of AQHA's "Showing to Win: Western Pleasure" DVD.

Hannah Montana's horse, Blue Jeans will be at QuarterFest!!

Another celebrity appearance will be made by Keepin Charge, an American Quarter Horse who starred in “Appaloosa.” Keepin Charge is the son of Docs Keepin Time, who was featured in the movie “Black Beauty.” .
