Poem - Drunk at 2 a.m.

déconcerté

I wrote this the other night when I came home a bit drunk...

life is such a circle jerk
uninspired and prolific
regarding sincere modesty
nothing intentionally devastating
this distress is still waiting

weaker still at the knees
i hold you and you kick me
a deportation of your love
politicizing everything i say

carry on forward
leave me away slowly melting
necessary uninviting
messy and crying
such a circle is life jerk

I had this in my head all day...if I has a good singing voice, I'd share you me singing it, but alas I don't.

but a love can something quite special

I'm annoyed today with people.
Particularly with people who don't think I am important enough.

If I'm not good enough for you to spend time with me, then you most definitely are not good enough for me to waste my time on.

I feel like I deserve better.
I know I deserve better.
I am just waiting until someone comes along.
A friend, or possibly something more.

I prefer something more.
