Hey, gang!

If you ain't doing anything tonight or Sunday night, come out to Taste of Newport! I'm doing some MCing/Stand Up/Jugglin/Etc. for a group called The Supper Club at the event. Google them - they are the REAL DEAL!
Also, Train, S
ugar Ray, and David Cook are playing...which, OF COURSE, is the only reason to drive your ass all the way out to thee OC ;)

Found out some really exciting news about The Daily Sports Show and a feature good friend & genius director Jim Dziura and I have been workiong on; work makes me happy.  And right now, I count my blessings for an abundance.

PS The irony of it being the Jewish New Year is not lost on me - I never said I was a GOOD Jew ;)

It affected me in ways I cannot describe with words. This would be true without my personal connection to thee man, Jah, the Hog Farm, etc. It is a blueprint on the most affective and true way to exist. I would be honored if you saw it and shared your personal views and takes of a brilliantly crafted bio-doc :)

Just finished packing - I can hear mis abuelas snoring in the next room. It puts a smile on my face; a Joker-grin, so to speak ;)
This trip to NYC is a big one - some real/really important meetings and business to take care of when it comes to career stuff. As I wrote on my Facebook (which I now openly confess I am completely addicted too, and will probably get booted off MySpace for even dare muttering that now-universal phrase), with huge opportunity comes massive responsibility. I have traveled to NYC twice in as many years, and both times I was ill-prepared, literally blowing a meeting that was mine for the taking.
Although I do not know what will happen this time, I do know that I am prepared for this trip. So much so I am going to simply sit back and let the weeks of work I've put into The Daily Sports Show and some other pitches work for themselves. I finally have a team behind me that sees my vision, and I clearly see/know the steps that need to be taken to make these projects a reality.
There are very few times in my life that I have truly been proud of myself; this is one of them. Maybe the biggest thus far.  I turned 30 this year, and I visited my mom's grave for the first time in two decades.  I know she is looking down/up/wherever, her grin mirroring mine.  Right now.  In the moment, completely and fully.
Sleep time - tomorrow the adventure continues, and a new chapter begins!

It's been a busy couple weeks before and after my 30th...can't remember a time I've worked harder than now.  Had a great audition for the new David Fincher film on Tuesday, been working out the details for the subletters at mi EP casa yesterday, and today has been packing and loose ends.
The rest of Augusto looks something like this -

Aug 14-19 - a) drive up to Bay, have lunch with Howard & Estelle, continue up the 101 to Camp Winnarainbow, b) juggle fire in front of long lost friends/family, give Wavy a hug, teach kids some improvisation, and c) back down to Berkeley for one day/night with mis abuelas (AKA Howard & Estelle) before...

Aug 19-26 - a) fly out of lovely Oakland International to the Big Apple, b) get my week long subway pass, c) get pilot meeting out of the way early on in trip, d) see Paola, Mikey, Mari, Jorma, Mr. Samberg, Aaron F., Lisa, Nobility, B. Satz, e) go see Brendon A. hit peeps real hard in his pre-season game with Baltimore Ravens, f) throw in at least a museum and art exhibit, f) attend Wavy Gravy's documentary screening in Manhattan...

Aug 26-? - a) Fly back to Bay to give mis abuelas one last hug and kiss before b) back to LaLa grind.

Super excited!  And I recognize that I wrote must of this for myself, since no one uses MySpace anymore.  I do have to admit though, Facebook has been much more helpful with my career than MySpace ever was.  But these Blogs - AHH!  It's so confusing ;)

P.S.  Check out the link below -

P.P.S.  Below's show f*ckin' rocked!  We perform next at The Key Club, Sept 19th 8 pm.  Get your tix now - we sold out our last super quick!

Happy rest of your Summer!!!!

Found out late last night that I'll be shooting an NFL spec promo this Saturday with my good friend, William Catlett.   I met Sir Catlett earlier this year shooting his pilot, Four Now, which of course I missed the premiere of.  Ain't any better excuse to see someone then work.  Catlett is the man - truly talented, truly inspired, and a biz man to the end!
The meeting with Mojave Interactive was moved to tomorrow at 1 pm, so send good vibes Jew Boy's way then.
Reminder - I am performing with Powder at Universal City Walk on July 31.  If you haven't heard or seen them yet, they are the best rock band in Los Angeles.  Hands down.  And I feel honored and privileged to be able to bring out my knifes, balls and clubs and help them rock dat shit!  For more info, go to http://www.powdermusic.com/ ( you can also check out pics from the last show at Key Club at - Click Latest Gig Galley (lower left hand corner).
I wanted to share with you the most exciting news I've had this summer professionally - I am honored to announce that I will be performing at the Sobar benefit on August 2.  This is a truly amazing non-profit organization that helps recovering addicts find housing.  They have a monthly performance where celebs, comedians, and now crazy jugglers put on a show to raise money.  If you're free that Sunday, please stop by (Celebrity Rehab's gonna be there - HA!).  Check it at - Sobar Benefit.
These weeks before I leave my twentieth century for the big 30 have been challenging, both personally and professionally.  They have also been the best weeks I can remember. I am a big fan of my life right now, and I can honestly say that I for what feels like the first time know how truly lucky I am.
Enough sappiness - let's continue these summer fun adventures!!!!

I just back from San Francisco where I met with Robert Gourley of Mojave Interactive (www.MojaveInteractive.com), a truly innovative new media/advertising company. I shot a commercial for them last year, and Robert has always kept in touch with me; a true supporter of my career. Anyway, I decided to bring The Daily Sports Show idea to them, and I am so excited about possibly teaming up with them to get it into production. We have a meeting with their LA-based team on Monday which focuses on theatrical media rather than just advertising, and I see limitless potential. Mojave Interactive has been so successful because of their ability to sell products ARTISTICALLY and UNIQUELY. Ain't no one that quite does it like them! HAPPY SUMMER - Powder show coming up on July 31 at Universal Studios - come celebrate my 30th, AND the dopest rock band in the land! More news when it hits, pimps - stay up!

I submitted this to Dube Juggling, a German-rooted juggling equipment company who has supplied me with props for years (big ups to Renegade, Santa Cruz based, still my favorite clubs inj the world). They had a world-wide contest, and I guess I was a winner; 20% off my next order from them. Yay for capitalism!

Just found out one of the pilots I shot this year got picked up on iT-BN (Internet Television Broadcast Network)!
It's called Four Now, and it has the potential to be sitcom genius. BIG UPS William & Bryant - your work is paying off big time!!!!
Now, hopefully Fox will turn our meetings for the Die Cupid Die pilot into reality...
Regardless, I'm proud of batting .500 anyday! Yup, sports always be on my mind, in and outside of the art/hollywood world :)
2009 just keeps getting better and better - and in about a week, I get to go to a hell of a parade down by Staples.  LIFE.IS.GOOD!
