The over riding priority in our Marketing Plan is a business opportunity for AMSOIL Dealers. AMSOIL INC. provides programs and support mechanisms to help AMSOIL Dealers earn a residual income mainly through the sponsorship and training of other AMSOIL Dealers, as well as the utilization of the sales programs.Certainly every program AMSOIL INC. has to offer AMSOIL Dealers has a purpose. We feel it is important to define the purpose of each program so we don't lose sight that our Marketing Plan supports the fact that the best way to grow a stable business and income is to grow the number of personally sponsored and well trained AMSOIL Dealers in your downline. That is the core of AMSOIL.Having acknowledged that sponsorship and training of AMSOIL Dealers is the ultimate goal of our Marketing Plan and that the overall success of AMSOIL INC. and AMSOIL Dealers is dependent upon it, let's review how the other sales programs support that philosophy:

1. AMSOIL Dealer Program

This is for anyone initially interested in their own home based business, or that becomes interested in the business opportunity after experiencing the products through one of the other programs. It is your ultimate goal to get as many recruits/customers to this level as possible, and to train them on how to use the programs to build their own business.

2. Preferred Customer Program

This is the program for the customer purchasing over $100 per year. They receive a kit with instructions for purchasing, and get the monthly Action News so they are kept up to date on AMSOIL products automatically. These customers typically are "self service" and will order what they need on their own, but they still require follow up by the sponsor to answer questions and to keep them using the products. The program also exposes them to the business opportunity, and this group of customers will be the best source of potential AMSOIL Dealers.

3. Commercial Program

This program is to help Dealers sell to all kinds of businesses that want to use AMSOIL products in their equipment. It's for the AMSOL Dealer that has decided to try their hand at a more "technical" sale. It can be as easy and simple as registering a flower shop owner with delivery vans, or as in depth as a sale to a small over the road trucking fleet would require. It is highly recommended that the Dealer receive training beyond the G-700 business manual before pursuing this market, taking the AMSOIL U or home study courses at a minimum. Working with an experienced Dealer is a great way to learn.

4. Personal Retail Sales Program

Some Dealers keep an inventory of products for their local retail customers, or simply place orders as necessary to service them. These are typically friends, family, acquaintances, neighbors, etc., that are in your locale. Many Dealers start with this program as a means of "cutting their teeth" in learning to sell AMSOIL products. One person can only handle so many personal retail customers, however.

5. Catalog Program

This is for the customer that wants access to AMSOIL products but doesn't want a Dealership or to sign up for anything, only to just buy and have it shipped to them. It's perfect for all of the customers you acquire that are not located close to you and/or are willing to self-service themselves. They may require assistance placing orders, and personal visits or telephone follow up is recommended. Once they have become a customer that purchases $100 or more per year, they should be encouraged to become a Preferred Customer simply for the cost savings, and to get them the monthly Action News.

6. ROTS Program – Stores / Quick Lubes

This program is for Dealers to make AMSOIL products available through local retail outlets and service centers for those customers that purchase small quantities of AMSOIL products, under $100 per year, or that don't want to order direct, pay freight and have products delivered to their homes. This program makes AMSOIL products available to those customers that do not want to participate in one of our other programs, i.e.; Catalog, Preferred Customer, Dealer, or that want AMSOIL products installed for them. Accounts that carry AMSOIL products increase the AMSOIL brand name awareness, and provide the initial education of customers that may eventually move into one of our other programs for lower prices, access to the full line, the business opportunity, etc.

Take Advantage of these programs today. Call Michael Sparks--Amsoil Direct Jobber

"Is This One of Those Pyramid Deals?"

Here's how to respond to the "pyramid question" in a way that will often get you a presentation:

Prospect: "Is this one of those pyramid deals?"

You: "No. Are you looking for a pyramid deal?"

Prospect: "No"

You: "Good. When people ask me that question, what they're usually asking is if my business is one of those where they have to do most of the work and someone else makes most of the money, or if it's one of those illegal pyramid schemes. Is that what you're asking?"

Prospect: "Yes"

You: "My program is neither illegal, shady or designed for someone else to make all of the money while you do all of the work. Like any other company where you might have people under your supervision, you can make money--lots of money--from the efforts of other people. My business is also designed so that if someone works under my supervision and they work harder and smarter than me, they get to make more money than me. Isn't that the way it should be?"

Prospect: "Yes, of course."

You: "Let me ask you something. It's possible that my business is not for you…you get to decide that for yourself. But, if I can clearly demonstrate to you that it is a business where you can earn all the money you want to make, based on your efforts, without doing anything shady, illegal or uncomfortable, would you give it any consideration?"

Prospect: "Yes, I might."

You: "Fine. Let's set up a time to look at the program and you can decide if it's for you or not…okay?"

What a powerful tool! I joined this networking site some time ago, but never really messed with it other than just inputing my contact info. Lately I have become more intrigued with Linkedin to get serious networking leads for my company. Myspace is fine and dandy for music, friends, car clubs and what not. I feel linkedin is a more profession networking site and look forward to getting the most out of this.

With linkedin there are some cool tools that I feel will help my business expand. One tool is the email signature creator. I just started using this and my email signatures really stand out. Here is what I am using now.

Also, you can download the outlook tool bar to help manage your contacts within outlook and linkedin. I'm still looking into this and plan on learning more before I actually download it.

Lastly, I like the fact that you must know someone in order to add them as a contact. This keeps those just "friend hounding" like on myspace that have thousands and thousands of friends. I am going to work hard on staying in contact with my first tier contacts that will hopefully bring me more business. Will see how that works.

Well that's all for now, I would suggest if you are a business profession to give linkedin a try.

A DOZEN GOOD QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

…As the year 2007 ends, how about some reflection on where you are headed?

1) Are you clear on where you are going over the next 5, 10 or 20 years in your career, family life, fun activities, and are you on the right path to get there?

2) How would you rate the success of your AMSOIL business at this point? (Rate from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best and 1 being the worst.)

3) What are your ideas about financial success? How much money do you deserve to earn each year? When and why? Can you see yourself earning this much money in AMSOIL?

4) Would MONEY give you the freedom to do what you want to do with your family, friends and other interests? Are you moving in the direction of financial freedom?

5) How do you feel about getting out of debt, saving money for your retirement, and being a successful AMSOIL Dealer working with many customers who help you earn lots of money?

6) What are your ideas to attract more and better customers to you and to your AMSOIL business over the next few years? Why not write down your ideas and put them to work?

7) What is not happening in your AMSOIL business now that is keeping you from reaching the level of success and income that you want to achieve?

8) Do you have the knowledge, skills and materials on hand, items such as products or literature, that are needed to allow you to become more successful in AMSOIL?

9) Would it help you to succeed more in AMSOIL if you knew a lot more about the products and how to work better with customers? Did you know you could be getting this training by attending AU and the AMSOIL Convention scheduled for July 2008 in Duluth, MN?

10) Are you getting all the support you need from your sponsor, Direct Jobber and from AMSOIL? What areas, products or business, do you feel you need some help with?

11) Are you planning to call in to every Bell Team Teleconference, held once a month, during 2007 and 2008? The next call is on Nov. 15, then Dec. 6, and then on Jan 10.

12) Have you written down your AMSOIL GOALS and PLANS for 2008 yet?

4 Bonus questions:

What would you be doing if money was no object, and you were sure you would be successful?

Why do you feel only a few people ever become very successful, happy and wealthy?

What specifically could you do, right away, to help other Dealers in your team be more successful?

Would you like to become a major team leader in AMSOIL? Why?

Anyone that would like some help answering these questions or would like to start their Amsoil business out right for 2008 give me a call ASAP.

The latest blog about Amsoil and my business is about how easy it really is to start the business.

When I started my Amsoil business in November of 1999 I didn't have any sales experience or lubrication background. What I did have was the dream that I COULD DO THIS. I kept thinking this is a product that everyone can use. I still have the believe. Amsoil products will help all vehicles and equipment run better.

To start the Amsoil business I spent $30 dollars for the Dealer registration, and $35 for the Dealer Business manual. On top of that I paid an extra $25 for the Amsoil literature packet, which is a 3 ring binder with all the current brochures and data sheets for our products.

During the month of November and December I took the time to study the products, learn about the business and various types of customers and accounts. I waiting until January before I started contacting accounts in my area, which was El Paso TX at that time.
I registered my first Amsoil account January 18th 2000. The account is E-Z rider, which is a small motorcycle shop over on Dyer about 2 miles from my house. I still to this day have this account and they still order Amsoil products.

Later that month I worked on and sent off my T-1 certification. No one had to tell me to do this as it meant that I would be registered to recieve free leads from Amsoil. This program which used to cost $20 is now part of the Amsoil business manual and can be completed as soon as someone orders this $35 Business manual and fills out the booklet. By reading the manual and filling out the booklet you will have the basic knowledge of the Amsoil programs offered for Amsoil Dealers.

Later that year I met a "local" Amsoil deal that I found in the yellowpages and he game some great incouragement. He said he has been here for so many years and you won't get any accounts because no one wants. I'm thankful for him since that mad  me determined to DO IT. Withing one year of that time I had registered over 25 commercial and retail accounts with most of them being in El Paso TX.

On to the next step. Working with Commercial and Retail accounts. By registering accounts you make commission based on the purchases they make. Retail accounts pay a 20% payout plus a small volume bonus. Think about the average Retail account order is $400 per month. By working with these accounts it's not hard to see that having 100 or more accounts buying Amsoil on a regular basis could make you a lot of money.

This is a business of building relationships, and customers. I can honestly say that most of my customers were strangers when we first met. Over time these customer are now friends.

What I am working toward now is to help those that have that same dream that I had back in 2000. Have that dream to start your own business. Help customers by providing them with superior synthetic lubricants from Amsoil. I want to show people how to have fun with their JOB, and not feel like they are up against a brick wall in their life and careers. This business is the best!

Start an Amsoil business for $30. Add $35 for the business manual and $25 for the literature packet and you are off and running. Get some retail accounts registered to get your cash flow coming it. Now you are able to take your money and put it back in the business and grow it at a high rate.

The Amsoil Business Works!

Treated Fuel Delivers Maximum Performance.

AMSOIL P.i. is the most potent gasoline additive available today. As a concentrated detergent, it is unsurpassed in cleaning combustion chamber deposits, intake valve deposits and port fuel injector deposits. AMSOIL P.i. helps maintain peak engine efficiency, fuel economy, power and drivability in newer low mileage engines. In engines with accumulated deposits, testing showed AMSOIL P.i. provided the following clean-up benefits after only one tank of gasoline:

• Improves fuel mileage an average of 2.3% and up to 5.7%
• Reduced emissions
• hydrocarbons (HC) up to 15%
• carbon monoxide (CO) up to 26%
• nitrous oxides (NOx) up to 17%
• Restored power and performance
• Reduced need for costly higher octane fuel
• Reduced noise from carbon rap and pre-ignition
• Better drivability
• Smoother operation

AMSOIL P.i. works as an "emissions passer." It is ideal for use prior to emissions inspections.

Unsurpassed Deposit Clean-up
Port Fuel Injector Deposits form after the engine has been shut down and there is no gasoline flowing through the injectors. During this "hot soak" period the injectors heat up and the gasoline remaining in the injectors degrades and forms deposits. This can happen very quickly with the use of poor quality gasoline and short trip driving. Because the clearances within the injectors are extremely tight and injectors must deliver precise amounts of "atomized" fuel, even small amounts of deposits can cause injectors to malfunction. Fuel flow is reduced and spray patterns are disrupted, decreasing engine efficiency, power and fuel economy, while increasing exhaust emissions.

Intake Valve Deposits form on the intake side or back side of the valves. As deposits increase, they restrict airflow and alter airflow patterns in the cylinder. The deposits disrupt the balanced air/fuel ratio by momentarily absorbing and releasing fuel, and they can cause valve sticking by getting in the way of the valve stem and guide. Deposits also restrict proper seating, and the valves may be burned. Intake valve deposits cause lost engine power, increased emissions, poor engine efficiency and potential valve failure.

Combustion Chamber Deposits form on the top of the pistons and on the cylinder heads. They increase compression and absorb heat during combustion to later release it during the intake cycle. In some engines with tight squish domes, combustion chamber deposits cause the piston to actually hit the cylinder head. This is referred to as combustion chamber deposit interference or "carbon rap." Combustion chamber deposits also flake off as they get large, and these flakes can get trapped between the valves and valve seat, resulting in compression loss, difficult starting and rough idle.

Higher compression and stored heat cause increased intake fresh charge temperatures and the increased likelihood of pre-ignition "knock" or "pinging" when the fuel spontaneously combusts prior to spark ignition. This increases emissions and may cause engine damage. Many of today's cars have "knock" sensors that adjust spark timing to prevent knock.

Although audible knock is controlled, power is lost from retarded timing. Higher octane fuels of 4-5 octane numbers can be used to help prevent knock, an effect called "octane requirement increase." As a vehicle ages, more expensive higher octane fuel is needed to keep it operating at peak performance. By cleaning combustion chamber deposits, knock is controlled, power is restored, fuel economy increases and higher octane fuels are less necessary for peak performance.

Maximum Fuel Economy
AMSOIL P.i. maximizes fuel efficiency by dissolving and removing fuel system deposits and other contaminants for improved power and overall performance.

Recommendations
Treat one full tank of gas every 4,000 miles or 100 hours of service. One bottle treats 20 gallons of gas.

Here is a great article that I found on a Home Business website. It talks about the advantages and disadvantages of a MLM or network marketing business.

Enjoy:

Too many people jump into a Network Marketing business opportunity only to find after few weeks that they are not made for this business. This article will help you decide whether this is really the business you want to be in.

Network marketing or MLM is a business model which involves direct selling of products and services of a company via independent representatives. These representatives also form the major consumers of the companies' products and services. In addition to receiving commissions on direct sales, the representatives can also recruit others under them and in turn receive commissions on sales made by their downline. Under how many levels one can receive commissions varies from company to company. In order to safe guard the interests of its representatives, there is an absence of store-fronts and the products and services of the company are not marketed through traditional media.

Differentiating a Network Marketing Model from a Pyramid Scheme

Many people fail to differentiate a legitimate Network Marketing Model from a pyramid scheme and hence prefer to stay away from all Network Marketing businesses. One of the major differences between a MLM business and a pyramid scheme is that, in a pyramid scheme there is either no sale of products/services or the value of the products/services sold simply does not justify its price. The products/services sold, if any, are mere disguises to show that the business model is legal.

The main emphasis in a pyramid scheme is only to get more people signed up and book instant profits. There is only one way flow of wealth from bottom to top and no corresponding value flow from top to bottom. As a result, only those on the top of the pyramid make the most money and the ones in the bottom struggle to break even.

The most popular example of a pyramid scheme is the infamous chain email scam wherein you send $5 to each of the five names in the list for some top secret manual. Then you add your name to the top of the list, remove the bottom most name and send the same email to your friends. As you can see, people get involved to make money and not for the secret reports.

In a legitimate Networking Marketing model, there will be sale of products/services whose value is proportional to its price. Even though majority of people join because of the opportunity to create wealth, there will also be a significant number of the people who just use the company's products/services and won't be interested in the opportunity aspect. So by simply evaluating the quality and pricing of products in the line up of a Network Marketing business, one can conclude whether the business model is legitimate or not.

Advantages of Network Marketing Business

  1. Low entry costs. Unlike traditional businesses and franchises, a Network Marketing business offers significantly lower entry costs to get started.

  2. Flexible work hours. You are your boss and you decide when and how much effort to put into your business.

  3. Proven plan and marketing system. The company has a proven business plan and marketing system in place which you just have to follow. You don't need to do reinvent the wheel.

  4. Support of a sponsor/mentor. You are not alone when it comes to building your Network Marketing business. In case you need any help, there is always your sponsor whom you can get in touch. If your sponsor isn't qualified enough, there is your sponsor's sponsor, and so on. In other words, there is always some one experienced enough to guide you.

  5. Residual Income. You'll not only enjoy the fruits of your own labor but also from the efforts of your downline. This way, after you have established a successful downline, you can continue to receive income even if you stop working for some time.

  6. Regular motivation and support. Motivation is an important driving factor in a Network Marketing business. In the beginning, the motivation is high and everything appears doable. Majority of Network Marketing businesses get their successful representatives to conduct seminars and meetings in regular intervals. Attending them keeps you motivated and charged up. Some businesses even have a good collection of tapes you can listen to.

Disadvantages of Network Marketing Businesses

  1. Unpleasant approach to recruiting. Recruiting is most feared and disliked by majority of entrants into Network Marketing. You'll be required to get in touch with all your friends, relatives and even those with whom you had a brief acquaintance with, and convince them to join you. In the process you'll be alienating lot of friends and associates. This will often make you wonder whether it's worth pursuing your business.

  2. Curb on creativity. Many businesses have restrictions on the marketing methods to be employed. For the creative entrepreneur, this may act as hindrance to develop their creative talent.

  3. Minimum monthly commitments. Most Network Marketing businesses will require you to purchase a specific volume of products/services every month which you can either use it yourself or sell it to someone. If you have regular customer base interested in your products/services then its fine, else you must be prepared to use the products/services yourself.

  4. Takes good deal of effort, persistence and motivation. No need to stress here. Network Marketing requires lot of effort and dogged persistence to succeed. You have to be an effective speaker and must have a never say die attitude. Rejections will be a part of your life and you must be prepared to embrace it. For every 10 people you approach, only one may join you. And for every 10 people that join you, only one might work as hard as you. Yes, this is the fact.

As you can see from above, MLM or Network Marketing is not for everyone. There are certain prerequisites that you must possess or be willing to cultivate. If you are a self-starter, require no motivation and possess leadership qualities, then this business is for you. If you need constant motivation to get things done, dislike people and wait for things to happen, this business is probably not made for you.

I'm not a hype type of guy. I'm not going to tell you how you can sit at home and earn $10,000 per week in some type of scheme. What I'm going to tell you is how I am earning $3450 per month. Think about this. I earn the meadian income in the USA working from home. This is the American dream. This is doing something that most people get in their car, drive to work, put in 8-10 hours per day and then drive back home. They are tired, and hungry, and usually angery for working so hard. There are a lot of people making less than $41400 per year and working much harder than I do.

I bascially have about $15000 in product going through my business. I don't touch a single case, bottle, or oz of the products that I am making money off of. I don't deliver and I don't even have a credit card machine for order processing.

What I do, do is offer the best in customer service to those that I work with. I have several hundred accounts that are buying the products, and reselling them for me. I work with other dealers in my team to help them build a large business so they can make $3450 per month.

$15000 per month in product volume is peanuts, really peanuts for anyone in business. It did take a little while to get these customer, it did take work to do this, but it's not impossible work. What is impossible work is getting in my car every day to go out to a JOB that I hate! My mother instilled in my to work hard, do a good job, show up early, stay late, work overtime and BE UNHAPPY. I feel sorry for her, 60 years old working 6 days a week. I'm glad I got the work hard thing, and doing a good job thing. I'm glad I broke the habit of making someone else rich.

$3450 per month, it's not hype, it's where I am now. Good thing, I won't be here forever. Next month it may be $5467 or $7824 or $9173 per month. My income is rising every month. I don't ask for a raise, I don't beg for a raise, I don't have to ask to have the day off or when to come in.

I am working hard
I am helping my customers
I am working with those in my team that would like to achieve similar results
I am living the American Dream---And you can too.

Could you make money with just one product? Amsoil PI--Performance Improver

I have been working on a sales promotion for a new product that was released earlier this year. The reason I think it's a great product is because ever single gasoline car or truck needs this product. Secondly this is the best product on the market, and will pay for itself in a short time. Average fuel economy is 5%. On a $50 fill up you would be saving $2.50. That's a whole gallon or more of gas. 3 or for 4 tanks and your bottle of PI is free. The suggested retail of $9.07 per bottle. The recommended treatment rate is 1-12oz bottle per 20 gallons of gas. This is to be done ever 4,000 miles. The average person would need 4 bottles per year to keep their fuel system in tip-top shape.

To learn more about Amsoil PI visit this Power Point article.
http://amsoil.acrobat.com/pi/

or download the Amsoil Data sheet on PI.

https://www.amsoil.com/lit/databulletins/g1135.pdf

My goal is to make $1000 per month on this product. Here is how I'm going to do it.

I have 20 retail accounts. They order 1 case at wholesale and I make 20%.
So I will get them to order and sell at least 2 cases per month.
Wholesale cost is $78x20%=$15.60x2=$31.20x 20 account= $624.

Personally I'm going to sell 10 cases myself. I make about $2 per bottle at the retail price. That's $240

On top of that I make about $133 on my volume bonus for the month just for this product. That brings my total to $997. I will have to order 2 extra bottles to make $1000.

All in all this is pretty easy to do. $1000 "extra" per month for anyone can be a big deal.

AMSOIL Business Building Tips

– September 2007

By: KARL DEDOLPH, DIRECTOR OF AFTERMARKET PRODUCTS

Here are a dozen ideas to help AMSOIL Direct Jobbers and Dealers reach higher levels of success in their business:

1. Make your plans to succeed from the very beginning of your AMSOIL business. All Dealers should have a clear vision of what they want to achieve, the money they want to be earning and the level of achievement they plan to reach. If you can clearly visualize your goals, then you can achieve them.

2. The more you know about the products, the business and about the AMSOIL company the easier and faster your business will grow. Also, with knowledge comes confidence, and the courage to approach any customer because you have the right solutions for your customer's problems. An easy way for Dealers in the Bell Team to learn is to call in to the monthly teleconferences every month.

3. Attend one of the Fall Sales Meetings and take Dealers from your team with you as well. It is smart to get other Dealers to ride with you to the meeting.

4. Attend the 35th AMSOIL Convention in Duluth, MN, on July 15 – 19, 2008. Going to the Modified AMSOIL University program, or the Direct Jobber Convention, are other key events to include on this trip, too. We understand that David & Carol Bell are hosting a dinner cruise for the Bell Team as well.

5. Learning about selling, sharpening your communication skills, your ability to speak, write, read, use a computer, listening skills, and your body language, are all keys to moving up the ladder of success. Take classes, go to seminars, read books, listen to tapes, and learn from the professionals, are the ways to do this. Always keep learning, and you will keep growing your business.

6. Plan ahead to attend the next full length AMSOIL University in May of 2009. This is the ultimate in training from AMSOIL.

7. Be sure to use all the AMSOIL products in your own vehicles and other machines. To sell the products you must be sold yourself. You MUST DO this.

8. Have on hand a complete inventory of product samples for show and tell for your prospects. Keep your products current, clean, in a well organized manner, so you may easily take them with you to see customers. Invest in the new products as they become available. It is easier to sell what you show and use.

9. Keep an inventory of literature and sales aid items that you will need in order to work with all types of customers. Have your supplies in a well organized file so you may easily locate anything you need quickly. Constantly be updating your literature and pricing materials so they reflect the latest from AMSOIL.

10. Look and act like a professional AMSOIL Dealer. Wear AMSOIL clothes, have your car clean and sporting AMSOIL logos, signs and information so everyone will know you are an AMSOIL Dealer. IMPORTANT.

11. Prospecting for more new customers is the 1 job of top sales people. Doing trade shows is a great way to meet a lot of people in a short time and learning this from David & Carol Bell, or many of the other Direct Jobbers in the Bell Team, is the easy way to get started. Prospecting for customers, especially business customers, fleets, stores, quick lubes, repair shops, and a hundred other types of customers, in the area where you live is a wise way to build your business, and you will make the best use of your time and money, too.

12. A major key to success in AMSOIL is the constant, never ending, professional follow up with your established customers, PC, Dealers, Commercial & ROTS Accounts. Going to see them, calling them, sending them e-mail, regular mail, "Service Line", your own newsletters, and many other ways so you let your customers know that you care about them. You want to earn their trust and loyalty in order to build a strong, stable and highly profitable business. When you do this, you will also have a steady stream of new customers coming to you because your established customers will be sending your referrals all the time.

BONUS TIP… *** Write down what you are going to do each day on a piece of paper and number these activities in the order you plan to do them. Then, do them that day. AMSOIL Marketing Plan & Programs Philosophy

The over riding priority in our Marketing Plan is a business opportunity for AMSOIL Dealers.  AMSOIL INC. provides programs and support mechanisms to help AMSOIL Dealers earn a residual income mainly through the sponsorship and training of other AMSOIL Dealers, as well as the utilization of the sales programs.

Certainly every program AMSOIL INC. has to offer AMSOIL Dealers has a purpose.  We feel it is important to define the purpose of each program so we don't lose sight that our Marketing Plan supports the fact that the best way to grow a stable business and income is to grow the number of personally sponsored and well trained AMSOIL Dealers in your downline.  That is the core of AMSOIL.

Having acknowledged that sponsorship and training of AMSOIL Dealers is the ultimate goal of our Marketing Plan and that the overall success of AMSOIL INC. and AMSOIL Dealers is dependent upon it, let's review how the other sales programs support that philosophy:

HOW IMPORTANT IS PROSPECTING AND SPONSORING?

The lifeblood of your AMSOIL business, the single activity that will make your business grow more than anything else you can do, is prospecting and sponsoring for new customers. When you first get started, after you learn the basics, virtually all of your time should be invested in seeking out new customers and helping them get started working with YOU and with AMSOIL.

Prospecting and sponsoring are to the AMSOIL business what air, water and food are to daily life. If you fail to find new customers, if you are not looking for new customers on a regular basis, if you are not sponsoring new customers, and helping them order, use and sell the products, then your business will not be growing like it should and could, and you will not be earning as much money as you would earn if you constantly prospect for and sponsor new customers. This is IMPORTANT!

Questions for you to consider:

1. Do you have a prospect list of new potential customers right now?

2. Do you have activities planned that will put you in front of potential new customers?

3. Are you ready, right now, to sponsor a new customer?

4. Do you have the supplies you must have, as well as the knowledge, to work with various types of new customers?

5. How many new customers are you planning to sponsor this week, month and year?

6. Have you trained the Dealers in your team the importance of prospecting and sponsoring new customers?

7. Are you up on the latest new techniques to register new customers by phone, fax and on the Internet?

8. Are you demonstrating to your team that you are sponsoring new customers so they will follow your lead? (Don't be expecting your team to do what you are not doing.)

9. Are you aware that any Dealer could be recognized by AMSOIL as one of the top sponsoring Dealers of the month?

10. Are you aware, and your team aware, that you earn BONUS MONEY every time you sponsor a new qualified customer, one of your new Dealers sponsors someone, and that you earn more BONUS MONEY when your new Dealers renew their Dealership?

Top Dealers are always prospecting and sponsoring new customers. Sure, you should be working with your established customers, too. The growth of your business, the added income, the excitement will come from you sponsoring new customers. It is up to you to make this happen.

THREE RULES ABOUT PROSPECTING AND SPONSORING:

A. It is always a good time to be prospecting and sponsoring new customers.

B. The fastest way to build your business & increase your income is to sponsor more customers.

C. Teaching your Dealers how to prospect and sponsor is the most important job of a sponsor.

How to Start a Conversation Effortlessly

By Peter Murphy

If you are one of the millions who have difficulty in starting and participating in conversations, you should realize that life's successes and failures are closely related to the quality of your communication skills.

The ability to converse effortlessly with those you encounter is a critical component of all your personal and business relationships.

Good communication skills promote an image of self-confidence and intelligence. This is not to say that those people who find it hard to strike up a conversation are less intelligent.

They simply need to develop the appropriate skills. If you need to improve upon your communication skills, here are a few tips to help you get started down the right path.

You can learn how to start a conversation and converse with anybody, anytime.

1. In order to make interesting conversation, you must be interesting to others. Keeping yourself informed on current events, staying involved in activities, and keeping a mental list of good topics of discussion are excellent ways to break the ice. And a great tool to help you learn how to start a conversation with almost anybody.

2. Instead of focusing on how uncomfortable you feel, prepare yourself by thinking of the issues that interest you most and what you would like to discuss about a particular subject.

A little preparation will go a long way in enabling you to easily converse with others. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

In general, people like to talk about themselves and will respond favorably when asked simple, friendly questions. Learning how to start a conversation is not quite as difficult if you prepare in advance.

3. Make an effort to be a good listener when starting a conversation. After you make the initial effort, listen closely to the other person's response.

Often you'll find an invitation to continue the conversation if you listen carefully and respond accordingly. Balance is the key in any conversation.

Alternate between talking and listening to what the other person is saying and make additional comments as appropriate.

Learning how to start a conversation is really just using good manners and showing a genuine interest in others.

4. Even if you find it extremely difficult, always greet those you encounter with a smile and look them directly in the eye.

It may be hard at first, but self-confidence is a learned skill and by acting confidently, you will gain new self-confidence.

Soon enough you will notice that it is not as hard to maintain eye contact and carry on a conversation. Act confidently and you will eventually become confident.

Developing self-confidence is an important part of learning how to start a conversation.

5. Try to remember small details about co-workers and acquaintances. Asking about a weekend plan or a relative is an excellent way to start a conversation and show genuine interest in those around you.

If you are interesting, attentive, and act with confidence you will appear to be the kind of person people like to have as a friend.

By practicing these new skills until they become second nature, you will increase your own self-esteem and learn how to start a conversation easily.

Learning how to start a conversation is really just a process of practicing your social skills until they become a habit.

Repetition and determination are the most important factors in building your level of confidence and conversing effortlessly in any situation.

The Diesel Power Challenge is the creation of Diesel Power Magazine and the Primedia Truck Group.  This was the third year of the Diesel Power Challenge, a grueling two-day event that tests the mettle of the toughest street legal turbo diesel trucks. The event in Utah will result in 40 pages of magazine coverage later this year, along with a one hour TV program to be aired nationally.

This year nine pickups arrived for the competition, all maxed-out turbodiesels.  All of the trucks, selected by the readers of Diesel Power Magazine, are put through rigorous testing for two days.  The tests include a 1/4 mile drag-strip run, 1/8 mile drag while pulling a 10,000 lb trailer, sled-pull for distance, chassis dynamometer pulls testing horsepower and torque and a 100 mile drive to see which turbodiesel has the best fuel economy on the road.

The growing popularity of diesel vehicles in the United States makes events like the Diesel Power Challenge an unrivaled opportunity to put AMSOIL products to the test in the most severe operating conditions.

"Amsoil makes premium products for diesel trucks. Check out Amsoil fully synthetic diesel oils, severe gear lubes, transmission fluid, absolute effeciency air and oil filters. The entire line of Amsoil products will put you in the winners circle."
