Well.. Here is a short blog.
I had a poetry project and presentation to do. I had not started on it till last night. It was due today. I pulled it off! I have not been to sleep but I did it. I presented the poem and my thoughts on the situation. I talked longer than the other students, which is a good thing. I had a picture slide show spanning 2 years for my presentation. I played that while talking. I went in detail about how the poem was tied to my life. Massive amounts of caffeine in my body!! I'm exhausted now. I'm still pounding a energy drink now. I'm shaking but tired. Crazy feeling.

Here is my poem... haha Hope it gets a good grade. When explaining it I'm going to be crazy with my presentation. I have to do something to make up for the lack of poet in my poem.
Gathering with a Storm Sitting alone, Blank mind with racing thoughts. So much information, So little time. Reality is peaking around the corner. How long will this life last?

Here is a kinda cool thing I found...
"Evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Why are people so judgmental? Could it be one is so insecure with their self nothing except nagging and crap spewing from their mouth? Or do we follow what the world deems fit to be an ""Average"" mediocre individual?
Far to often the majority of people, organizations, churches, and government tries to define an example of the average person. Then try to evolve the world or at least anyone who comes into contact with them into a non-confrontational moron who is controlled without consent. Kind of like the Allegory of the Cave... People deem any act that is not a "social norm" deviant. I say chill out! This world tries to bland everything down to make everyone happy and comfortable. Not me! I'm going to say what I want and challenge you, if you don't like it, ok. I didn't ask you to like it. I hate to be mean but the whole extreme judgment thing is just insane. I'm tired of people trying to control you so you can fit into their closed minded life. I'm not going to change for someone. For example: people ask me, tell me, want me to cut my hair.. Crap on that. I'm going to grow it to piss you off now. I'm not going to be who you want me to be. Another example: My friend at college, an ex drug dealer/user. It pisses me off to see so called "Christians" or "Good People" rejecting him. Christ just might going to do the same for you. Not that I want someone to go to hell. But if you don't care about a person who needs good friends to be around for them, what makes you so special for Christ to accept you?! Become a real person and accept who God places you around. Show love to them. This blog is not about me or the other person. Those are just examples. People just tend to go with the flow, well so does crap. Try going against the grain for a change. Try to be lean on the judging. Everyone does it, but don't be all hardcore with it. Give a little grace to people who need it. Because you never know when one day you will need a bit of grace yourself.

Ok... I have been thinking about peoples actions and ways that the populace processes their information. As most knows, I attend PRCC. Their is like 6000 students who attend the college. I hang out with a lot of people up their. Normally around 10-15 people at least. Well I also meet new people everyday. But once talking with most people awhile all they talk about is sex. Freaking slow the hormones down! It's like you suck and should die now if you don't sleep with at least 3 people a week. Ok.. So I have a good amount of friends who are girls and some are real attractive individuals. Well I'll talk with them for a bit and not 2 minutes later people are coming up to me saying "Dude You hitting that?"... I'm like no. Their just a friend. Then they try to spent the next 5 minutes on explaining why I should try to "get" with them. I'm like chill out! Heck. I'm not a man whore! I don't want to be "average" like half of America is. Average to me if someone who follows everyone else.. If the person says it's cool to have sex with as many people as possible then do that! Not I. I respect myself and others. I see nothing wrong with just being friends with someone. Just to be friends. I'm not the type of person looking for 5 minutes of fun and dying young of a illness. Or suffering forever because of the "good time" I just HAD TO HAVE. Well I have a stronger personality and will than that. I'm not that shallow of a person. My life is on track. I know what I'm doing with my life and I wont compromise. Well it's really weird to go to school with people who have no care about life or their education. I'm focused on getting my degree. I don't want to mess it up and blow $150,000.00 education. So the moral of the story is: Grow a brain and start logically thinking! You do not have to conform to the way your so called friends life is.
Later tater... Kevin

Well today is 9/11. The day the USA was attacked... All I can say is the terrorist got and are getting what the deserved. The terror groups thought they could bomb us and just get away free. But we have put them threw 6 years of getting even. I say don't start something you can not finish. I believe all those terror country's and clans/gangs whatever you want to call them should think twice before messing with us. I'm not trying to act all superior but you can not just get ran over or it will keep happening. Notice we have not been messed with much since the war started. Well.. I know the war is a hard conversation for most. The war stirs up all kinds of stuff. So I will end my blog now before I get myself in a crack.. lol Later - Kevin

Ok.. So I know some people are just going to smoke.. That is fine by me. But I personally do not smoke and do not want to. A lot of my friends do but that is their choice. The problem I have is with irresponsible parents. I was at a local quick stop today and I was behind a younger lady (25ish) who had a bad cold and was buying cigarette's. That's cool I guess if you want to get some express lung cancer by smoking while sick.. But back to the story.. She had a little boy with her, he was her son. Well she was picking out her beer and cigarette's while the boy was looking at the "cool" lighters.. Well the young boy was like amused by the whole lighters deal. He was young so I guess the small things are great to him. The problem is that the boy was encouraged to help pick out the beer and cigarette's. I mean if you hurt your body that is one thing but you should raise the child to stray away from all the bad stuff in hopes that he will listen. I mean don't sit their and teach the kid what brand of cigs are cool and I guess taste good. That is to me irresponsible. But think if she wants the kid to help her pick stuff out and involves the child in all this junk. What do you think goes on at home?.. Most likely she or both parents drink in front of the child (which is ok I believe as long as they don't get drunk) maybe smoke in the house. Smoking in a house is one of the worst things you can do. Especially when a child is being raised there. Most likely this wont mean much to most people but it does to me. The child is defenseless. It only knows what it is taught. It will follow the actions of the peers he or she looks up to. A parent is most always a important peer in the child's life. So I don't take lightly the crap most parents do around or represent to a child. I'm not saying shelter the kid, but don't provoke the child to explore the bad things in life. Some stuff the child will get into, but some things the child will remember not to do later in life because of a good representation from parents. I just think some people should practice better parenting and get educated on life. Respect and love for your child should be through the roof.
Oh well... I was just rambling on.. This was on my chest so I figured I would write it down... If you agree cool.. If not that's cool I guess also... Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. :-) This is mine.

Yo!
Well last night (August 15) was my last night as youth worship leader at Solid Rock/World Prayer Tabernacle East. I stepped down last night. So I will no longer be going there on Wednesday's. I have been praying about 6 months on what I should do. I just don't feel like I am suppose to be there now. So I didn't tell anyone except the band and youth pastor. But I guess everyone will find out soon or read this. I have had some great times playing and worshiping there. I have seen a lot of people come and go, and many touched. I believe the band will move on and continue to find new members. Those guys are amazing! But we will still rock out from time to time.

Yo!
PJ's is awesome! Yes.. I'm chillin up here. Well I finally got a PJ's punch card thing.. So I buy so many and get one free. I should have done that a long time ago... But oh well.
I had to do Manager training today at the court house. I had to leard how to setup and shut down an election. The lady from Jackson who is training us is cool. Or at least she likes us to run things a lot. So that's not to bad. But the training was easy.
We also went to the college to chill and talk to a few people. We met with several people up their and are gaining ground fast! A-Dawg is securing investors to invest in him. Like I told him. You have to be able to sell yourself. You have to convince people with money that you are worth an investment. The people are seeing he is worth their money. So I believe by the end of the week his college will be completely paid for! Including the past balance.

Yo!
So.. If you read my last couple blogs you will know I have been working at the court house alot! Well I just completed my training tonight to be a poll worker. It was cool although some people don't catch on to fast. lol. But that's ok. Well tonight after I got home and was relaxing a bit I received a phone call. Well I thought that a friend was calling or something. But nope. It was a election official. They was calling to tell me how good I have been working and asked if I could be a poll manager! Of course I said yes. So now I have a better job with them. Also the pay is a little more. Not a lot more I don't think but money is money! Ok..
Well this morning I got up about 7am and got ready to be at the court house for 8am. Well we arrived at the court house at a couple minutes before 8am. The lady was impressed. She thought we would be there about 9ish. We told her if you give us a time we won't be late. That impressed her. We showed we are motivated. Note I believe the work at the court house is free. So that makes things harder to find workers. But we are there. All we have heard is how well we work. Everyone is talking about us in a good way. The key is to make people remember you. Well job is complete they all know us well. So that helped to get promoted to manager. So yeah again I have to be up for 7am to be to the court house for 8am. We will make it. We have some special training we also might get done. So we are getting equipped fast.
So next week is full of work I have lined up with people and work for the government. Also Tuesday, I was told we have to be at the Governors dinner. We are expected to be there! I was like... Do you think I would miss it?! lol They said we will get to talk to the Governor and all. So that's not bad. I will have people taking pictures of the event. It will be fun. I hopefully will have some pictures posted up soon of that.
Well it's getting late... Their is more to say but I'm tired! Later - Kevin

Today I had to be at work for 9am. It was rough getting up. ha ha. But I made it there for 9 straight up. So perfect. But we got to the court house and went into the court room. In there is over 100+ voting machines. All of them needed to be tested for accuracy and make sure the encoders worked and then seal them for election day. We did all that. It was cool. Also they fed us lunch! They bought a ton of food and brought it to us. I guess they like us up there. They asked us to work for the next couple days. Also we have to setup all the voting places the day before elections with them. Then the day of voting we will be working in Derby. We have been informed that the November elections we are on the list to work. So I guess I'm going to keep my foot in the door of politics. It can not hurt to know people in high places.

Yo! Ok... So I'm in Picayune still. Ok.. I guess the short story. I'm not allowed to go on the youth trip because I had to work. The necessary arrangements had been made prior to the trip so I could go, but the person I guess forgot the plans or something along those lines. oh well. It worked out for the best. My job I am training for along with Andrew is for voter poll working. We will help make things run smooth for elections. It's great! We also have been asked to help this week at the court house working for the top guys and gals in charge. Not fully sure of what we are doing but we know we are going to be working. lol. But the best part is Andrew and I have been asked to attend a fish fry with the governor! We should be able to talk to him and stuff like that! How cool is that?... So yeah. We are getting compensated at a rate of $12 an hour for training and $125 a day for poll working. Not sure what we will make for the work at the court house. But whatever happens it will be worth it for the connections and knowledge. Knowledge is power. Along with connections = power. So we can't go wrong. Later - Kevin
