TIME FOR A CHANGE:

Here at our headquarters, a group of us teens have been thinking and praying about how epidemic can be more significant in the lives of all of you out there.  Up until now, one of the only ways we have been able to serve you is by praying for the many prayer requests we receive each week.  We will continue to pray for all requests but we are about to take things to a completely new level. 

PUT YOUR FAITH IN ACTION:

As we have been praying, God keeps telling us it is time to lead the epidemic nation towards active faith.  For many of us, our faith has been limited to sitting in our churches and pews a couple days a week.  We are going to redefine what youth ministry should look like.  We are no longer satisfied with showing up at church only to sing a few songs, play some games, hear a little message, and then go back home.  It is time to get outside the walls of the church and start serving others.  It is time to bring unity back among the body of believers.  Here in our local area there is a youth group on every corner doing their own thing.  The sad thing is none of us are making an impact for the Kingdom.  Imagine if we were all united with one heart, one spirit, and one love.  Sounds like a recipe for revival to us. So if you are ready to get your hands dirty, jump in with us and thousands of others around the country as we commit to put our faith in action. 

WHAT WILL THIS LOOK LIKE:

For 2008, we have assigned a theme to each month of the year.  These themes will be relevant and focused on helping us put our faith in action.  We will have exciting events each month that tie in with that month's theme.  Our goal is to create events that you can replicate in your own area.  In other words, thousands of churches, teens, youth groups all around this nation will be taking part in coordinated simultaneous events.  This will be an amazing underground movement.  The epidemic youth movement has no financial resources, marketing departments, or corporate sponsors.  All we have is a passion and vision from God to do something with our faith! 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

Everyone can participate in this national youth movement.  Are you a teen like us, hungry and ready to start living out your faith?  Are you are a youth pastor that has grown tired of the traditional role of youth ministry?  Are you a parent longing for a way to get your son or daughter plugged into real meaningful ministry that can change their life?  Are you a college student desperate and longing for a faith that is real and relevant?  Are you a small church that doesn't have a youth pastor or someone capable of leading the youth in your area?  Are you someone that wants to make a difference in the lives of the people around you?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, then join epidemic in 2008 for what could be a life changing year.
