............ ............
I am a seven year breast cancer survivor. After a lumpectomy, chemo, and radiation, I
felt less than desirable. Sad to say,
the negative self image continued for more years than I care to admit. My husband was not to blame. It truly was all about me and how I felt
about myself.....
.. ..
Recently I attended a Pure Romance gathering facilitated by Nancy
Wharton. I was unsure about what to
expect and admit, felt like I knew what the evening would bring. I was in for a huge surprise. We laughed, we learned, we sniffed, we
tasted, and I came away with a renewed spirit and a little black bag of tricks!....
.. ..
I purchased a variety of the Pure Romance personal care products. Coochie is now a favorite of both my husband
and me. It is the most luxurious shaving
gel we have ever used and it doubles as a moisturizing hair conditioner. My husband wants his own tube! Another favorite is the Body Dew. It is a light body oil – one spritz is all
you need for a smooth, silky feel to the skin.
It lasts all day and has a faint, fresh scent. ....
.. ..
My favorite product thus far is Basic Instinct – it mixes with my body
chemistry to create my own “perfume.”
Very light, very faint, and drives my husband wild. ....
.. ..
Has the intimate side of our relationship improved? Oh yeah!
And it is only going to get better.
We are off on a cruise; I have a few surprises packed in my bag for my
husband…......
.. ..
Thank you, Nancy and Pure Romance for putting the “O” back in my life! ....
.. ..
Laura R. ....
....Chandler.., ..AZ........

Suzie says that she's married.... to her daddy. "We both are married to Daddy!", she says with a HUGE grin, then gives me a hug tighter than any I've ever felt.
She also thinks that potty trained means that if she goes poop in her panties and cleans it up herself she still deserves an M&M.
Yesterday we tried to make bread. The joke here is that I was involved and try as I might, I just do not belong in the kitchen. And although the bread turned out like loaves of rock, Suzie enjoyed pouring the flour onto the floor and helping me knead the dough, which makes the activity successful in my mind. :)
And, Gabe finished another semester with a 4.0. Go Gabe!

Gabe and I have decided to take our almost annual road trip this summer. (The year Suzie was born we took an abbreviated road trip and skipped the year she turned one.)
We're way looking forward to seeing friends and family all over again. Things with Gabe's school plans for the fall aren't set yet, so I'm not sure exactly how long we'll have but this is what we are looking at doing. Shoot me a note if we're going to be close, should be AND if you would like to do a Pure Romance party while I'm nearby. (Or if someone you know would, of course.)
Starting early July: Start in Baja, Mexico or Southern California July 10th- Pure Romance Party in Santa Barbara Head to SFO area, couple parties??? - I need to follow up with a couple ladies there To Idaho to visit Gabe's brother & family & hometown To SLC, Utard to visit Gabe's dad & some friends To Denver area to visit very good friends, do a little Pure Romance training & some parties (hopefully) To Western Nebraska to visit more of Gabe's family Then to Eastern Nebraska to bug even more of Gabe's family (darn Mormons- LOL!) Next to Central Missouri to visit my family Ohio for Pure Romance Annual Training and Gabe & Suz to visit friends Then we have no idea- depending on time! - We always LOVE NYC and the DC areas, but my have to head home. My family & friends in Oklahoma Maybe Texas And maybe we'll still have a house when we get back here. Maybe not. Maybe I'll get pregnant and we won't get to do any of this!
Love, Nancy

Someone asked Gabe after class one day why his laptop is pink. He's loves this because he's really proud of my success and tells them that his wife got it from her company from being in the top 50 for three years in a row. After this particular class his teacher was listening in, then talked with him about me and Pure Romance, then told her friend who teaches Psych. 277 (Psych. of Human Sexuality) and now I get to go in and present my products and information on keeping a relationship fun and communication open in the bedroom.
I'm kind of excited about this and totally feel prepared, because Pure Romance has given me so much wonderful and useful information (oh, and products) to share. I've even invited Gabe to sit in, with his pink laptop :)
Love, Nancy

http://www.blogthings.com/whatbigcatareyouquiz/ You have more strength than most people, and with it, the ability to inflict a lot of harm. Your power gives you confidence, and you find leading others to be easy.
You believe that you need to the best, and you are very driven to excel. Most people immediately admire you, but some people feel very envious of your abilities. What Big Cat Are You?

documenting the life of a family going through a LOT of changes
The good news today is that we just received Gabe's fingerprint clearance card in the mail. This is another small battle won in the war of trying to start all over with a new career in nursing.

Gabe and I have been discussing our options a lot lately. Last year we lost his flooring business and everything financial that could have possibly been tied in to it. And it sucks. This year I am losing my mind. So:
Today's topic of discussion was if we should take the Lehi or the Jaredite route around the world. Ultimately what we would LIKE to do, (and currently there are countless things that stand in our way), is for Gabe to become a Medical Doctor, then travel the world, particularly Central and South America with our children offering help to communities in need while I research, lobby and serve working towards improved human rights, like the right to everyone on earth to have good and affordable medical care and clean water.
The Lehi route is to just pack up and go. Maybe the Spirit will guide us, maybe we'll receive a Lehiona. Gabe will probably have to finish some sort of schooling first, be it nursing or the full M.D.
The Jaredite route would be to fill all of the holes and seams in the van with foam that grows and is waterproof, then set out to sea, floating around until we just land somewhere, hopefully still alive, and go from there.
Either way we are a little worried about Suzie being kidnapped and sold as a sex-slave; sassy little blue-eyed, blond girl. (Poor kidnappers... it'd be like in the movie "Savanah Smiles"... except I saw on Law & Order that now they drug the girls and then it just SUCKS...tv is so educational.)
...................................................... just thinking ..............
(By the way: The Lehi, Jaredite & Lehiona references are to stories in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. If you'd like more information, I would, of course, be happy to hook you up.)
Love,
Nancy

I want grapes. However, I'm afraid that if I get up to get them I will end up in bed and not back here working. I will do without grapes until I have completed a few more tasks.
Making progress though. Sometimes I just WISH I had a moment to know what the term 'boredom' feels like. So, I'm sorry that I'm a lame friend right now. Things have a bit difficult around here lately. Sunday marked eight years since we lost my brother David. Gabe has 18 credit hours and is working very hard to maintain a 4.0. We are starting to run into a little trouble with his felony now, but there aren't many hills in life that are insurmountable. Gabe also finally totaled up our losses from the construction business. It was quite shocking and I feel a lot less guilty for my momentary lapses into 'retail therapy'.
The economy is affecting my business too. People can't afford to go out as much now, and you can only watch so many re-runs of CSI... Enter: Pure Romance. :) Sales are up.
Back to work, so I can get those grapes.
Love, Nancy

The other day I caught Suzie in my room staring at herself in the mirror. She let out a deep breath and said, "Suzie's so beautiful."
She always talks in third person ~ which I had a problem with until I realized that so does Elmo and when Gabe would talk to her he would too, so I don't really think it's a self-centered thing yet.
Today we were walking out of the library when an elderly Chinese lady came towards us and just stopped! She was stunned by Suzie's beauty. We waited three whole minutes while she dug in her purse for a cracker for Suzie because she was just so beautiful. "What beautiful blue eyes!" She just kept saying that over and over. It was so sweet and strange and yet, common.. Finally she found her crackers and we continued to play ring-around-the-rosy on the way to the car.
Suzie is just so funny. I'm not sure what to do. The poor girl seems to just think that that is a customary greeting. "Beautiful blue eyes!" "And beautiful blue eyes to you too ma'am"
Gabe and I both have blue eyes, though his are slightly lighter than mine and mine are really small. (It's a challenge to smile AND have my eyes open at the same time.) Suzie's eyes are my color with Gabe's eye shape and they really are beautiful blue eyes, with long blond lashes.
So- another story: I took her to my friend Marina's house the other day. Suzie walks in, throws her arms out wide and says, "Hi Marina, Suzie's here!" And all is well.
