Hey music fans! It's a gorgeous autumn here in the US and we wanted to hip you to some goings on in the JOT camp:
First and foremost, JOT has been added to the lineup of a benefit show this Friday night in Echo Park. Tuff Love Records recording artist, The Uplifters, is holding a benefit show at Dinner House M in Silver Lake November 6th @ 9 PM for Salvadoran Association for Rural Health (ASAPROSAR).
Admission is $10 and all proceeds go to the charity - Just Off Turner will perform at 11pm and will be introducing at least two new songs to the public. Please join us in contributing to this worthwhile cause.
For Halloween, our songs like to dress up in costume too - Check out the Phoolish Remix of Room With A View at Soundcloud. Soundcloud also houses a few other JOT goodies if you haven't been there yet including Believers, Deceivers & Thieves (Lost version).
The guys have made the track downloadable for free so you can take it with you everywhere!
The band has also sequestered themselves in the studio writing new tracks for upcoming releases. Titles include 'The Painter's Song', 'Last Of Your Kind', 'One Of Us' and one that has unofficially been titled 'All That You Wanted'. All in all, nearly twenty unheard songs are being prepped for recording and the band is toying with releasing EPs a few months apart rather than the standard album format - Meaning that you can get new JOT sooner and more frequently than waiting for a full album to be finished. Good news, right?
Other really interesting news:
The band has recently signed with Big Electric Management - Their team of professionals have a lot of amazing plans for the band and are super cool people as well. The guys are thrilled to be working with them and their roster mates The Binges and Run Devil Run.
For all you fans of Italian rap (I mean, who isn't?), Universal artist Nesli is in the studio in Europe working with a JOT song for a collaborative effort. Think Eminem meets Dido and you'll get the gist of what you can expect.
If you can't get enough of the band, please check them out on their personal Facebook page, Facebook fan page and Twitter page.

While I (Phil) was in Brazil, on honeymoon with my new wife, I contacted local pop star and all around great guy, Tiago Iorc (pronounced ee-ork), to have lunch in Rio de Janeiro — Tiago's new home. The four of us (including his good friend and manager, Bruno) had a great conversation surrounding music, life and the respective state of the music industry in our countries. Tiago has sent JOT a bunch of new fans from South America with his amazing covers of 'How Much It Hurts' and 'Bad For Business' and we feel compelled to send this talented new artist some international attention that he richly deserves. Head over to www.myspace.com/tiagoiorc and www.tiagoiorc.com for some great music. Make sure you check out 'Nothing But A Song' and 'No One There'! Below are his video for 'Nothing But A Song' and his live covers of our stuff:
