all my life i resented my mothers side of my family for soooo many reasons. one is my alcoholic grandfather. since my grandma left for Guatemala on Tuesday he's been drinking & giving everyone a hard fucking time. i got no sleep last night because he kept falling & making mad noise. so i stayed home to take care of the dogs since he likes to harass them when hes like this. he acts like a baby ... like Lenny from Of Mice & Men. he asks me the same questions over & over & i had to make him soup. so while he's sitting there waiting, my cousin comes upstairs to have his breakfast & they're sitting there talking & he tells my cousin to get him a shot. above the big ass TV in the living room there are exotic liquor collections from all kinds of places. when my cousin comes in the kitchen to get a shot glass (keep in mind its not even noon yet) i grab it from him & empty half the bottle & fill it back up with water. my grandpa is too drunk to notice the difference.

a lot of the time he's violent but he's regressed to a childlike state. so before i give him his soup i crush a Klonopin into it to knock his ass out for the rest of the day. so i take advantage of the fact that my nani ceca isn't home & start compulsively cleaning every orifice of the house. there are empty liquor bottles every fucking where. so the cleaning takes me outside to the backyard where i'm finding empty BOXES of Coronas. now i'm separating glass, paper, & plastic because my asshole family members have no respect for the environment. i smell like liquor & garbage. at least the dogs got some good outside exercise today.

::exasperated sigh::

120 coronas
1 bottle of white zinfandel
3 cans of fosters
1 huge can of bud light
2 bottles of Captain Morgan
etc etc ...

i give my nani ceca serious props for being able to deal with this asshole for so long. at least i know that as long as i'm here i won't ever let him lay a hand on her again. it's kinda sad actually. he's fallen into a deep depression because he's a diabetic who's turning 70 next month ... & he's been retired for awhile now.
