I hope that you enjoy the latest tracks on this page. I can't believe how negligent I've been of this account! I'm trying to clean the dust out by uploading new music and pictures. The endeavor I'm working on currently is a family Christmas CD. We made one once, eight years ago, so it's high time for another. This time around, I'll be producing it instead of my dad. And I also have multi-tracking on my side so we don't have to do each song in one take. I want to write a Christmas song this year, but I'm not sure what to write it about. Any ideas? I was thinking something along the lines of "All I Get For Christmas Is Blue" by Over the Rhine. If you haven't heard that song, you simply must. It is amazing. I'm in a rather good mood since today my dad bought me my very own wifi printer to take with me to college. I was so surprised! :) My guitar is on my lap as I type this and I am very tempted to play it. The entire reason I came down here was to put it away and here I am writing a blog instead.

P.S. I hope you like "Please Say Something". I produced it in the dark in the school Mac Lab after school the other day. I'm very pleased with how it turned out

P.P.S I love comments (hint hint)

Hey everyone! Welcome to my first vlog! Happy 4th birthday to my podcast! I decided to change my podcast from audio into video for the four year anniversary. I've been wanting to do a vlog for quite some time, but now that I'm seventeen I don't have to worry about being faceless anymore. I had fun making it. This was actually my first time playing with cattails too. So here it is! Enjoy :)

I didn't sleep tonight. I couldn't. My head and my heart were exploding in new emotions that I'd never felt before. Truth is an emotion. The most powerful of all. So powerful that it makes you fall to your knees and makes your body quake under it's strength. It's like nothing I've ever felt before. I am confused, yet everything is finally clear. I am overcome with sorrow, yet my broken heart is bursting for joy. I sometimes wish I could put time on fast forward, but perhaps it has slowed down so I can breathe. I'm scared to death. And I've used up a lot of tissues. I'm definitely not okay, yet I know that I'll be fine.

I know i will. It's the absolute truth.

Hey everyone-
Today is a day for decision making. American Idol Auditions are coming up in twenty one days. I'm trying to make up my mind as to whether I should audition or not. I think it's going to happen, but I just need to become 100% excited about it. We're printing out guardian forms and reading all the FAQ's. I've been waffling for the last two years on whether or not I still want to auditon. However I'm excited about all the opportunities it could bring and the success it offers is making my mouth water. So I'm having an informal poll through myspace, utterz.com/briannajoy, and also my website http://www.bitzofbrin.com

I'm excited to know what you think. Do you think I should go for it? Post your comment :) If I decide to go for it, I'll do podcasts with all my audition piece ideas and you can vote for your favorite.

Though I'm a long time podcaster, I'm new to the blogosphere. My posts have been so menial and sparse, so I'm thinking about taking a new approach to blogging.

On my podcast, I talk about what's new with the industry and the latest in my career. I'm thinking about using this blog to right down my thoughts and emotions as I go throughout my journey. This will be a more personal record.

Lately I've been experimenting with poetry. I'm doing it just for my own enjoyment, but also to improve my lyric writing. I want to have control over words to express something deeper. So here is my first stab at poetry. I'm not pretending I'm a poet or anything ;) Just trying something new. Be sure to let me know what you think. :)

Can you feel the drops of sunlight raining down?
The rain of a wicked storm
From the east, a fierce summer wind
While soft linen looms on the horizon

Did I forget to mention I turned sixteen last week? I’ve been so busy!

I’m now sixteen years old and able to date and everything. I may even show my face if I can finally finish up my latest track and get it into iTunes. That would be cool, don’t you think?

I don’t have a lot of time right this second, but let me know if I missed any birthdays or events. Message me and I’ll message back. You might want to check out my latest podcast, too, because I talk a lot about what I’ve been up to. Lots of music in no. 68. Please take a listen and let me know what you think of it. You can follow the links below or even listen to it right on my MySpace page.

Don’t forget that the iTunes version of my podcast is better featured than the MP3 version. It has chapter art, and web links, and also includes all my Itty Bitty Bitz of Brin updates I do in between podcasts over on Utterz. You haven’t heard of Utterz? It’s really cool. You can leave voice comments to each others’ posts from your computer or your phone. And if you have an account over there you can get your comments on my next podcast. I’d really like it if somebody did that. I haven’t had an Open Mic segment in forever. Nobody wants to ask me any questions. :(

Well, I need to go again. I’ve been so busy I’ve missed you guys around here. I hope to post more blogs in the future. And feel free to bug me if I forget again. LOL

My blog has gotten rather dusty, so I thought it might be time to bring it out again. I've posted a new Christmas song for everyone. This is my own arrangement of "Silent Night". I was inspired by Chris Thile and Johnny Cash; an interesting combination. I wanted to post more songs, but found that they were still copyrighted. :P I guess I should start writing my own Christmas music. Then I'll have nothing to worry about.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I've been busy on the road and finishing up my school year. So imagine how surprised I was to discover friend requests that were patiently waiting for me had strangely disappeared.

If you had requested to be a friend and haven't been approved, chances are you slipped into a weird little myspace black hole. Please send your request again.

Episode 55 is now available for download. On this episode, I talk about what I think of season six of American Idol, the International Songwriting Competiton and how I've been advanced to the next level of judging, and give information on my upcoming audition for High School Musical 2. I don't sing this time to save your hears from my sniffly sick voice, but I released the show on time! Hooray! Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Have a great week!

Cheers,
Bri'anna

Hey everyone! I hope that you all are having a great New Year. In this week's podcast I talk about my New Year's Resolutions. I have quite a few of them! Some of them are typical, but most are musician's goals. I could have listed quite a few more... I also received a nice shoutout from Dave of Dave's Lounge. After I talk about my goals, I sing my favorite New Year's tune. The song is "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?". I did a jazzy rendition originally performed by Nancy Wilson. It's quite a lovely arrangement. I had a lot of trouble getting my hands on it! Give the show a listen and let me know what you think! But most importantly, have a great New Year!
