BREAKING NEWS! RiverRock '08 has unfortunately been cancelled. We tried many different avenues to make this event happen this year but unfortunately a slow economy, political red tape, and other various circumstances led to us making the decision to pull the plug. The RiverRock Board of Directors is still committed to this event and we have already begun making some moves to make sure this event happens in 2009. Stay tuned to this website for further details. BREAKING NEWS!  - Wilmington NC natives and Volcom Entertainment recording artists ASG (A.mplification of S.elf G.ratification) have been confirmed as co-headliner (along with Greenville natives/now Baltimore, MD based Future Islands). These guys have been burning up the touring circuit since the Jan release of their album Win Us Over and are set to bring their intensely mighty rock riffage to the RiverRock stage. Sadly, Wilmignton's Thunderlip has been pulled from RiverRock 08 due to circumstances beyond our control.

We are pround to announce Greenville/Raliegh NC based Lonnie Walker has been confirmed for this years RiverRock Festival! These guys bring their patented indie/punk/folk/americana to the big stage this year and will surely bring the house down. Check them out @ www.myspace.com/lonniewalker

Greenville's own Melanie Sparks Band and Nova Stella have both been confirmed for this years RiverRock Fest. Melanie Sparks had it going on in the mid to late 90's. She was one of the first artists ever on the Homegrown Music Network and her album Mabel's Beauty Shop and Chainsaw Repair is still a classic of the NC music scene. After taking several years off to concentrate on college and her kids Melanie is back and ready to retake Greenville and then the world by storm! Some of you might remember most of the guys in Nova Stella from last years Battle of the Bands winner Those Meddlin' Kids. They've changed things up a bit with the addition of a new guitarist and a full time sax player and they're new sound and style is simply killer. They are rising fast on the Greenville scene. Catch them now before they blow up and you have to pay $20 a ticket to see 'em!
