Thank You Everyone for tuning in this morning to watch my early morning performance and interview on ABC News, Channel 7!!! And Thank You Soo much, ABC7 News, for having me and my band on your show! : D :D :D

In case you missed it, you can watch the footage at:
http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=resources&id=6570130

I was already up and running at the studio at 5 this morning. It was exhilarating!
Usually, 5 a.m. is when I just Prepare to go to bed! lol, (I'm just most creative in the night time...)

But, anyway, So it was a definite time change. And to adapt for that early rise, Everyday, the Week prior to the show I got up at 3 or 4 a.m., no matter what time I went to bed. So, although I had no problem waking up early by Sunday, nevertheless, I thought my voice sounded just a bit sleepier than usual...
: )
But, you be the judge! Hope you like it!

Lots of Love!!!

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents as opening our hearts.
So, with that thought, I wish for everyone to feel loved and peaceful, & to find room in their hearts to forgive themselves, other people, and the rest of humanity...not just today, but year-round.

& to finish on a lighter note...

(Part 2, Filming a Music Video for 1st Single "Letting Go" in Budapest, Hungary)

HI!

As promised, I've got more info about the sites we filmed at : )

I always like to know the history behind the places I visit, so this is what I found out reading up Budapest Tourist Guide, and Wikipedia.com. ;)

The first location we filmed at was the GELLERT HILL-- a steep hill that stands 140 m (460 ft) above the Dunabe river, and provides a beautiful view of Budapest (the southern part of Buda, and the whole of Pest).

Walking further down the hill, we stopped by the STATUE of ST. GELLERT, the martyred Bishop, and a patron saint of Budapest, who was thrown down this hill in a sealed barrel because of his attempt to convert people to Christianity.

Then, we filmed against the background of the CHAIN BRIDGE and a part of BUDAPEST, blazing with the city's light in the evening hours. The Chain Bridge was a major engineering accomplishment at the time it was built, between 1839--49. The bridge extends for 380 meters (1,250 ft).

Another site was the ELIZABETH BRIDGE. At the time of its construction, between 1897-1903, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world! It is named after Queen Elizabeth, an Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, Croatia, and Bohemia between 1854--1898. Particularly popular with the Hungarian people, the queen's free spirit and disregard for conventional court protocol inspired filmmakers and theatrical producers alike.

The RADAY MANSION, with its surrounding garden, is a surreal place. I was told the place is haunted! : D The mansion is located in a town called Pecel, a couple of miles from Budapest. It was built in the late 18th century by a Raday family that was forced to sell the palace and the library to cover their debt in the late 19th century. Since then, the building has been mostly abandoned. Only between 1953--1956 was it used as a hospital, with the library section turned into a patient examination room. Unfortunately, most of the paintings were destroyed, and most of the fireplaces were transformed into doorways. Currently, the building is undergoing an intensive restoration process.

That pretty much covers most of the places The Pixel Film team and I filmed at.
Hope you found it interesting. Ill upload some pics in the next few days to compliment each location.

....

And one more thing...:D :D :D

!Shout out to all the passengers on Tuesday's (Dec. 16) connecting Swiss Flight 8 from Zurich, Switzerland to Chicago!!! I met a lot of great people! : )

Much Love,

DID YOU MISS ME? : )))))))

I just got back from Budapest, Hungary, filming a music video for my 1st single, "Letting Go."!!! :D The pics are up!

!AMAZING,! wouldn't be enough to describe this beautiful country, the historic capital I was in, & the the warm and professional welcome I received from the video production team, Pixel Film.

I was so breath taken by the whole experience that it seemed I was bound by hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, the fear of long words, throughout the four day stay at Budapest! Lol. Everywhere I went, "Wow," "OMG," & Oh WOW" was one of the main ways I was able to verbally express my excitement and gratitude for the whole experience. I was mesmerized, to say the least... :)

Some of the locations we filmed at were: The Gellert Hill, The Chain Bridge, The Elizabeth Bridge, and a Royal Mansion.

I'll upload more info in the next couple of days describing these historic locations, and more info about the trip.

Kiss! Hug!

The funny thing about Thanksgiving, or any huge meal, is that you spend 12 hours shopping for it and then chopping and cooking and braising and blanching. Then it takes 20 minutes to eat it and everybody sort of sits around in a food coma, and then it takes four hours to clean it up. -Ted Allen

Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with family they may only see once a year. And then discover that once a year is not enough, so they return for Christmas. -- Unknown

"I'm Thankful for You"

Thanksgiving is the appointed time
for focusing on the good in our lives.
In each of our days,
we can find small blessings,
but too often we overlook them,
choosing instead to spend our time
paying attention to problems.
We give our energy
to those who cause us trouble
instead of those who bring peace.
Starting now,
let's be on the lookout
for the bits of pleasure in each hour,
and appreciate the people who
bring love and light to everyone
who is blessed to know them.
You are one of those people.
On Thanksgiving,
I'm thankful for you.
Happy Thanksgiving!

HI Everyone!!! : )

I've got great news to share with you--- The single "Letting Go" is now available for purchase on iTUNES and AMAZON!

This will be the first song off the album to go out for promotion & introduce me to the world as an artist.

I hope you like it! I sang my guts out, lol, : )

Working on this song was a true team effort between myself, the producers, Nick Monson and Andy Gallas, and songwriter, Onique Williams. :D

Let's make this an Itunes & Amazon 1! :D

Kudos to Double Door for being such great hosts on my Thursday, Nov. 20th set.

The management handled the whole under 21 situation with me so well and so professionally. Since the venue serves alcohol, having an underage performer can be tricky, and precautions must be taken to stay within the parameters of the law.

And let me just say this, I'm soo grateful that I didn't have to wait in the car or outside for my set (sthg. that has happened before at a 21+ venue). I was allowed to stay downstairs, away from the bar area, and keep warm in my dressing room under the supervision of Double Door's management and security. It was great! I was able to properly do the vocal exercises, and had lots of access to warm honey water--which are really the only two things I need to perform.

Thanks for being so cool about my age, & for making this the best performing experience I've had so far :D

Love,

Romi

HI! :D

Thank you everyone who came out to the show last night at Double Door. The venue was PACKED! : D : D :D And thank you Double Door for having us.

Karlye Lapetina, and Amanda Sena opened the show. AMAZING voices. I was warming up my own pipes & going through the usual vocal exercises before the set, so I was not able to watch the performance, BUT I sure heard it! So, Karlye, and Amanda, I'm coming out to see you at your next show.

We had some booking agents come out to the show, and cameras were rolling to film the whole thing. AND..check this out-- Chicago Music Project attended the show as spectators. (www.chicagomusicproject.com, www.myspace.com/chicagomusicproject)

Kudos to Double Door for being such great hosts! The management handled the whole under 21 situation with me so well and so professionally. I felt so welcome! Thank you, thank you, thank you Double Door for making this the best performing experience for me ever! : D : D :D

Lots of Thanks & Love to Everyone who came out. The band and I really appreciate your support. Being it finals week for lots of people, and getting up for work at 5 or 6 a.m. the next day, you are Brilliant!

Love,
