This is my friend Paige's blog. After the blog, at the bottom, will be my comment to her blog. Read it all if you are interested or concerned about society's problems.

Blog:
if your gonna take the time to read this;; then take the time to commnt what you think about it.

lets get one thing clear, i honestly dont care who you are or whats going on in your life right now. people do some stupid shit that is so pointless. i know that most people who read this probably are to young to care, but people and animals die everyday. most of them are not dieing from reasons that cant be stopped but from reasons that can.
examples:

-texting while your driving

-talking on the phone while your driving

-drunk,buzzed,or stoned while your driving

-guns and gangs

-not paying attention to who or what is around you

-for clothes or sale purposes

-for food

-pollution*

now i know what your all thinking, "for food ? dont you eat animals too?" yes i do. but at least i care about the animals and i do not like eatting meat. i can tell you right now i wish i didnt have to.
but i do ):

now all the other reasons except pollution, which ill get to in a sec, could stop right now, today this second. if every one in this world could just care about everyone else a little more than them selves then we could live in a better world. the only reason people do anything listed above is from pure stupidness. and i know that im not any better than anyone else in this world, but when i get older i have promised myself to never do something that would endanger someone elses life. you've already wasted time by reading this so take like five more mins and think just think about how you would feel if someone you cared about died because of one of thoses stupid reasons. and if someone has then you know what im talking about, and im sorry.

okay so pollution. im not asking anyone to stop driving or whatever i dont even know. but pollution is getting wayyyyy outta hand. all the polar bears are being forced to swim to alaska because WE are melting their ice burgs. and for what reason ? to make things a little more convenent for ourselves. wtf. but also its not just the polar bears its alot of other animals too.
uhhh

so if you ever see me, and go wow she looks pissed off. or wow shes depressed. or wow she has no friends. get over your selves. i look how i look because i have realized that our entire planet is fucked up. and there is no hope left for human beings. everyone lies to get what they want, and everyone would kill someone else if it ment there life would be easier.

i will be different, i promise you that.

----------------------------------------------------------------

i must address something my friend colin said;;

if you do care about all of this stuff and feel similar to how i do about it, then i respect you a great amount and you are one of the few decent people left in this world.
thanks for caring about someone other than yourself :D

___________________________________________________________

My Comment:

I agreed with Colin. Sorry, but not everyone doesn't care. Unfortunately, you can't get 6.5 billion people to start caring about all that stuff, because there's a lot more to worry about. Half of all those people have to worry about surviving first (world hunger) and keeping alive (global healthcare). There's a lot of things we must do, but we just can't.

As much as we want to matter individually, each one of us just don't matter to the big guys who are really in control. And sure, we can begin to make a difference, each one of us, but changing the world is just impossible without a collective effort. I don't mean collective as in a couple hundred people working together, or even thousands. We have to go to the millions to start noticing anything remarkable.

I think it's time for a change. Which also brings into politics. The government is our power. It is our strength, but right now it's our weakness. People who want a change should vote for Obama. But that's my opinion, and I should keep this comment as unbiased as possible.

Oh yeah, did you hear? New studies' results actually contradict global warming theory. Methane levels in the atmosphere simultaneously rose globally between the northern and southern hemispheres. Normally, global warming would cause the southern hemisphere's methane levels to rise only a year after the northern hemisphere where methane is produced because it takes a year for it to go around. It suggests that the Earth really is just going through its own natural cycle, and that it's happened many times in the past. Just a little scientific thing. The polar bears aren't dying because of us, and we really can't control that. It's the Earth and nature. Blame God if you must be religious. We as humanity are not in control of harming the animals and the environment in terms of global warming. But then again, we're sure contributing a little bit. I don't even know what side to listen to myself, and I change views about this all the time.

Again, not everyone doesn't care. You'll be surprised how many people want a solution for all these things. You'll be surprised how much people actually care. You may have lost hope for humanity, and you have a reason to do so, but I think there's still enough time.

I think we all want to do something about everything. We just don't have the power to manipulate the global society into making a significant difference. We've done our part, but it's just not enough. We can't sacrifice everything. We can't have everything. But we can do something to save a couple more lives and kill a little bit less, starting with your first couple examples. Sure a lot of people die that way, but a lot more people die in many other ways. People starve to death every minute for example. Diseases kill people unreasonably all the time. People die. Animals die. It's just the way the world runs. I don't want you to accept it and move on, so I'm glad you're realizing this as a teenager. It took decades for society to figure that out.

You know what the reason for all this? Energy crisis, animal cruelty, Iraqi War, everything you can possibly think of?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The prospect of money. Humanity runs on money, and the easier it is to obtain, the better it is for the benefit of ourselves, even if we have to sacrifice things like being humane to animals.

And girl, only mentally messed up people would kill someone to make their life easier. That's just not the way people work, and it's not logical to think that it does. It's just wrong. A regular Bob or Joe would not randomly shoot some guy to steal his briefcase with a million dollars, no matter how easy that would make his life. It also seems like you believe that everyone is wrong and everyone is stupid and everyone harms other people and animals and everyone is guilty and wrong and everyone is greedy EXCEPT yourself. Or do you think humanity in general, including yourself, is responsible? If you think that everyone is wrong but yourself, that way of thought will not get you anywhere.

I'm sorry. I'm not here to criticize you, because I agree with many of your points. I don't hate you either. I'm glad you spoke up. I don't mean to sound hateful or angry or anything at all. My current mood is calm and respectful and unbiased and to the point. I'm only trying to share my ideas.

If you just read all that (I think I wrote more than you), then congratulations. I hope that at the least, I have made you think a bit more. I think you have a lot to learn. We all have a lot to learn. I'm not attempting to control your mind, I'm letting you think for yourself. Feel free to lose hope for humanity, but keep your reasons factual (which you're doing very well anyway). While the root of the problem could be thought of as humans, we all have to live somehow on this planet, and we can't go back to pre-Industrial Revolution times. Back when we didn't have problems. Because that's just impossible, and you know it.

I'll do what I can, but I'm just one of 6.5 billion people. I don't matter. Each one of us don't matter. No one matters. But together, everyone matters, and that's the only way we'll see something happen.

It's 4:23 AM, it's time for me to sleep. I hope I got you thinking a bit more.

I hate those damn chains. And anyone reposting those are pure fucktards.

Seriously, if a random person walked up to you and said that if you don't listen to him, your [insert family member or friend here] will die, will you actually believe him?

And those stupid subjects that are supposed to get your attention. You have better luck posting a subject about your real life, then having the chain in the bulletin. Not saying you should.

No? Well what if a you opened a bulletin while you were browsing the internet. It said that if you didn't repost it, your mom will die. Do you believe it?

No? Ok. You say you're just bored? You say it's fun? Well you're a retard as well if you can really be bored on the internet. With about 30 BILLION web pages, 109 MILLION web sites, about 50 MILLION sites active, what the hell are you doing? (Of course half of those could be porn, hahaha, as if we all haven't done it)

Yes? Ok. You're immediately a retard.

But seriously, if you really did believe that your dad will be killed, and was really scared, and just for the benefit of the doubt, reposted that message, then I feel for you. I also feel for your gullilibity.

Say, for example, I started this chain, and you happened to read it. You knew it was me who started it or sent it to you, and I said that you will die tonight at 3 AM if you didn't repost. Would you? It was just me. Unless it was a murderer or sex offender or something, then why would you believe me? Unless you or your family was actually at gunpoint, why believe the message? it's more dangerous talking to that random guy who walked up to you.

In matters of chains, unless it's personal, how would anyone POSSIBLY know that you opened that page that had the chain? the devil? God? that guy staring through your window, like the bulletin said?

I seriously HATE CHAIN MESSAGES. Who wants to have their bulletin list FLOODED by dozens of chains, scrolling through until you hit the 10th page where the last good or decent or MEANINGFUL bulletin was posted?

Annoying as fuck.

What a complete "waste" of data and the internet, even though it's considered vast, expandable, inifinite, unlimited, and can be overwritten, erased, replaced freely, etc.

So you are neither bored or stupid, and you just really wanted to repost that bulletin? Members of the jury, you are convicted of being an annoying idiot.
Go fuck yourself.

About chain texts, also completely annoying. Not to mention a waste of my 10 cents. QUIT WASTING PEOPLE'S MONEY BASTARDS! You tell me to get an unlimited texting plan so you can forward me all your chain texts? Sure, just as long as you pay for ,my bill, as well as maybe a 100% profit (if you're bad at math, you pay twice my bill so I earn some money.) Oh yeah, if you don't pay, a faceless clown will appear by your bed tonight at 2 AM and slice your head off.

Chain emails, I don't really get anymore. Not a lot of people still use email as their main form of communication. I guess that's good. Keeps my inbox clean.

If you read this, and you're still gonna post meaningless chains, feel free to delete me.

Below is one chain, among the millions available and spread. By the way, because you will read that, you will NOT have the BEST LUCK this week. Hah I canceled that out. If you listened to what's below this, then you might as well listen to me.

Oh right, I forgot. Send this post to 69 people and I swear I'll f$k you.

Repost this if you agree! Hahahahahahah Just kidding. Don't repost it. Then it will be a chain in and of itself. Well you can, just at least believe it.

Boy that was a long message.

-Earl

Who would have thought

That a beautiful Rose could grow in the dark?

That such a flower grew completely ignored?

Where grown in the dark it bears splinters,

But once taken out into light, its thorns were

Mere Illusions.

Vanished.

A unique Rose, one that doesn't have thorns?

Upon noticing this intricate beauty of nature,

Something sparked in my mind, an attraction,

A wanting.  Some call it Love.

Others, it may just be more of an obsession.

This Rose, its sweet smell and its soft core,

Its stem stood strong, determined to reveal itself.

Surrounded by the redness of its petals,

And the greenness of its leaves,

Yet it slowly sheds itself to me,

As I take it out of the dark.

To transform into her.

A kiss.

That Rose. Dying for the day to come,

When she feels human again.

The door once overlooked was finally opened.

She was let out of darkness,

And into my heart. Where she belongs.

For there was only one key to her heart,

And I had it. And she gave it to me.

A kiss.

Who would have thought

That the future will happen, yet we don't know how.

But it doesn't matter, all that matters is now.

How could I have been so blind?

As I look deeply into her ethereal green eyes

As she lays her head down on my shoulders…

Who would have thought?

(Author's Note: This is a sonnet, 14 lines like always, but written in iambic hexameter.)

I'm struck with passion every second she's with me,
Her subtle eyes of green I seem to set mine on.
Those luscious lips are sweet and soft as they can be,
For every time I wish together we were gone.
How hard it is to be alone amongst with you,
There is no other one for me to share my past.
Just maybe we will have a happy future too,
The love we share is strong forever be at last.
Affection drives our lives as far as we can go,
My love incites for her as we become sedate.
I want to be with her right now like one may know,
She misses me as much as I can contemplate.

I miss her each and every day she's not around.
Relentless love of ours will always be abound.

For when deception holds you back
And concealment must not be
Let no one know that
There's much more to you.

For when deception keeps you
Away from your dreams
People don't see what it is
The real view of you.

-Earl Co

For when deception gives you nothing
And you don't want it anymore
Reveal your true self
Be more than you.

For when deception causes you pain
Everyone rejects you
The world shall hang in shame because
You cannot show the real you.

For when deception is your worst enemy
You want the world to know
But the people won't let
The blanket come off of you.

For when deception beyond the eye
Actually makes you happy
A feel of comfort hovers over
Like the fog surrounding you.

For when deception is at its best
A different self is hidden
Only one person can know
That there's much more to you.

Death is no concern to us. All things good and bad are experienced through sensation, but sensation ceases at death. So death is nothing to us, and to know this makes a mortal life happy. Life is not improved by adding infinite time; removing the desire for immortality is what's required. There is no reason why one who is convinced that there is nothing to fear at death should fear anything about it during life. And whoever says that he dreads death not because it's painful to experience, but only because it's painful to contemplate, is foolish. It is pointless to agonize over something that brings no trouble when it arrives. So death, the most dreaded of evils, is nothing to us, because when we exist, death is not present, and when death is present, we do not exist. It neither concerns the living nor the dead, since death does not exist for the living, and the dead no longer exist.

When people celebrate their first events, they would relate to the first time such event was encountered. Such as 1st step, 1st bath, 1st anniversary etc. But on the actual day of your birth or birthday, our parents suddenly make the mistake of starting the count a year after our actual birth. Thus resulting to all of us naming our 2nd birthday as our first. Logically, the first something of anything would refer to the first time anything of that something first happened. So your first birthday actually happened on the day you were born but you only got to be a year old on your 2nd birthday. Needless to say, you only got to be 2 years old on your 3rd birthday...and etc. And for those who didn't make it to a year's time, they would at least have their first birthday occasion had their parents counted correctly.
