POLICY ON ADDING BANDS
From now on I am only adding bands that we know personally and ones who message us beforehand specifically about playing real shows. We get way too many requests from bands that aren't interested in trading shows or playing shows with us. We'll add any Baytown band and most Houston bands, but other than that, you should message us if you're coming through town so we can try to hook you up with a show. Cool?

On the flip side, I make a point to comment back and thank every real person who goes out of their way to add us as friends. We love peoplllleee!!!!!!!!

I'll probably post this on thedrafted.com once my own computer stops acting up.

But this about the fact that we're about to go on a fall season hiatus, whether the other guys know it or not. I think I told them about it, or at least hinted at it. But yeah, I used to come back to Texas a lot during the school year, but that's not happening this semester. Mostly because of gas, but also because I want to focus on school more. Even while I'm over there, I'm always obsessing about shows, and it kind of gets in the way.

There may be a few exceptions to this hiatus though. Obviously, if we get offered an opening slot for a national act coming through Houston on a weekend, yeah I might make the drive out there. If the Harbour actually re-opens like everyone's hoping, yeah you can probably put us down for their debut show (maybe). Other than that, I'm probably not even going to check our profile for messages or friend requests or any of that stuff.

You'll see by the lack of response to this blog that it really doesn't matter either way what we do. Might as well save my money.

HOWEVER, this week Omeed and I are probably going to get together at Lee College and record a whole bunch of new stuff, just my own parts first. Then later in the semester everyone else can come in whenever possible and add their parts. Before you know it, we'll be coming out with new songs even though we haven't seen each other all semester. Pretty cool, right?

Like I said, it doesn't really matter either way, but we're still a band no matter how few people give a shit.

Later,

www.thedrafted.com

Our Myspace profile is not a website for our band. It will be used to contact people about shows, and to maintain a presence on the most over used, over hyped, over everything website that I can barely stand to look at anymore.
