So... I'd like some opinions.  Feel free to leave them here... I love the feedback.

I go out with my pal from college on the weekends, we go to this local place that has karaoke.  I don't sing, last time I did was over 10 years ago I was totally trashed and with some online pals down in Baltimore.... we sang the B52's Loveshack and we were just awful (so awful I remember to this day why not to do karaoke).

Anyway back to my tale and why I'm soliciting opinions... I kinda want to gauge my thinking here.... if I'm way off base or not.  Its a bit long, but to understand it a bit more ... some back story is need.

So, weekend before Halloween, I notice this guy at the bar.  I never really noticed him before, thought he was attractive in his own sort of way ... and so I ask my pal, who seems to know everyone... "who's that guy?"  ... of course the conversation goes on, and said pal goes on a mission and finds out the scoop.  He's got a girlfriend.. or was just getting over one or something to that order.  That in my mind puts said "cute" guy out of thought and mind.

Fast forward to Halloween weekend.  Go out with said pal again, to our usual hole in the wall place... not even remotely thinking about guy from last week.  However, guy from last week comes up to said pal, and was informing her the information she got was wrong - he's free, but now wants to know why she's asking.

Pal in turn points me out (unbeknowst to me - sometimes I am untterly clueless).  Cute guy says there's interest on his part, so later on he comes over to me .... conversation ensues... exchange of numbers.... we talk some more ..... the whole "i'm not looking for a serious relationship" gets said, ... totally on board, as ... to be honest ... neither am I.  Yadda yadda.

Cute guy calls... for the next week we talk, and well I got the impression he was interested..... then Friday comes and all of a sudden he has offf.... interesting.  No effort to even say... "hey come on along".... but granted I didn't ask to tag along either (I hate seeming to be clingy).. but I did say "how about dinner or somthing tomorrow (Sat.)?"  .... made tentative plans.  He was suppose to call w/ details..... guess what - no call.

OK .... so I don't wait around, cuz quite frankly you don't have time to call me back or even say "hey.. change of plans"  for some odd reason.... you go down my list of "nice possibilities" to  "he's beginning to be like FdM" really fast (which btw is a bad bad thing and if you want to know why, you can ask later) .

Anyway... got out with pal to said hole in the wall.  Who shows up - but said cute guy.  Does he come over and even say hello??  Ummmmm... that'd be a no.  Said pal says.. "I'm sorry Li, but he's an asshole."  At this point, I'm holding back judgement to see how things play out.  She on the other hand speaks her mind even more bluntly than I do - and ... tells him so.

Later, said cute guy (W from now on), comes over and actually talks to me and her and says he had a fire call, that's why he didn't call.  OK fine, fire's are an important thing to take care of.  He talks to us for maybe all of 5 minutes.... then apparently has some more important things to take care of, and for the rest of the night proceeds to forget I exsist.  I have to leave early cuz of my neice's christening and leave about 12:30.....

W comes over to my pal and asks "did she leave cuz she's mad at me?"  "Uhhhh no, she left cuz she has to go to Jersey - but I can give you her cell phone number if you want to call her"  .... says he has it (which he doesn't).... but none of my phones ring.

So while at my sister's place I decide to really get a scope of this situation.  I call W from my cell phone, talk for a bit, we kind of make some plans for later on that sunday... just need to call when i'm leaving.  Of course already in my mind, I know I'll get voice mail, and won't get a call back.  Which... is exactly what happened.

So... that's when I come to the point of "done", and to be honest - lack of interest.  Once I get to this point - unless their's a call back, I sort of "take the hint" ya know - and understand the guy's got no balls to even say "look I thought I was interested, but this just isn't going to work out."  And my week goes on its merry way - I actually forget about all this bullshit until... Friday/Saturday when I figured in someway this is going to rear its head again.

Saturday comes, again we go to hole in the wall place... and a bit later W shows up, walks by our table, bangs his hand on it and says something in some form of a greeting - pal and I look at one another and say ... "ooooooooo K".  We go on our merry way - so be honest, at this point, only thing that could bring this back to life is if he comes over and explains/apologizes/shows so interest.

In the mean time .... another friend (he's really hot btw.... LOL), somehow gets involved and a conversation plays out where I ask "what the heck is your boy's deal"  .... "he's not my boy"  .. I laugh ... "sure he is"... anyway.... I see another guy, who piqued my interest and thought hot friend knew him, he sort of did and introduced us... little chatter, he goes back to playing pool.

way later on hot friend comes back and asks me a question "W wants to know if you're mad at him".  OK ... so now W is making hot friend a messenger, alright I'l bite ... "no... I'm not angry, but a little acknowledgement and explanation would be nice"

So eventually hot friend goes back and speaks with W and eventually W comes over to me.... we have a conversation .... in which .... I ask point blank "hey ... look do you ever really want to go out on like a real date?"   his reply "I'd really like to" ... and then talk of how we could work it out.  He then gets called up to sing Karaoke .... and .... that's it - he never comes back over .... in fact -- He hits on another woman (who was stumbling down drunk)..... or she on him..... and he leaves with her!  *shakes head*

Other things happen, that are eerily reminiscent of FdM and well... I head home for the evening and text a message that says "hey do me a favor - loose my numbers, thanks!". I really hate having my face rubbed in and all over my mistakes.  I know I make them, acknowledge them .. learn from them - but you don't have to shove them in my face and make me relive it again.

So... now, I do not expect W to call ... quite frankly, I don't think he has the balls to LOL.  He might send a messenger to "find out if she's angry" ... but wow.

Now with that long tale I just typed out... I believe I'm on the right track with my thinking - as I've been here before ... and it wasn't a fun place to be....

I'm on the right track when I am thinking I shouldn't even give this "W" any further thought or consideration, right?

on days like these i'm left rummaging through my past.

i've been feeling really down the last couple of days.... restless almost .... there's things I've been thinking about that perhaps I shouldn't be.

gah... think its just a phase.... and i just have to avoid giving into the temptation..... no matter how much i miss something and someone.
