The Feelbrock Five is a list of the five coolest things in film, TV, comics, music and elsewhere this week.
1) Spider-Man 3
- I know the reviews have'nt been as good as the first two movies but come on...It's SPIDER-MAN! I went in with low expectation's and was blown away! More villains, more incredible effect's and maybe more fun than the last two. Sure some of the spark and originality from the first two are missing but like I said before...It's SPIDER-MAN for crying out loud! 2) DC Direct's "52" Action Figures and the finale of DC Comics year long series "52" - Rejoice, The Multiverse is back! Booster Gold and Rip Hunter have just saved the world from a multiverse eating Mr. Mind. Oh and did I mention that apparently Ralph and Sue are back as mystery solving ghosts? Good thing too, just in time to collect all five of DC Direct's exclusive "52" figures including Supernova, Isis, Batwoman, Animal-Man and Booster Gold with Skeets.
3) Golden Apple Comics in Hollywood on Free Comic Book Day
- May 5th is'nt just a day to drink Corona and eat taco's anymore. It's also national Free Comic Book Day. And nobody does it better than Golden Apple. With writer's and artist's there for signing's including Mike Mignola, free giveaways, posters and pins, you really can't go wrong.
4) WKRP in Cincinnati on DVD
- Arguably one of the funniest and most underrated sitcoms of all time. Howard Hesseman's Dr. Johnnie Fever is one of the most inventive characters in TV history, and with unforgettable episodes like "Turkey's Away" and "Hold-Up" this DVD collection is a must have.
5) The Hold Steady's CD "Boy's And Girl's In America"
- If you like your rock song's to be about getting high, getting drunk and hooking up with young girls then this album's for you. With a nice cross of "Greg Dulli and The Afghan Whigs" and "The Allman Brothers", this is one CD I'll be listening to all summer.
See you next week on The Feelbrock Five!
