Who Gives Kudos:

Saturday, December 13, 2008
So the holidays are approaching! Its jingle bells all the way until new years now. The Christmas cheer all around is unavoidable. I'm on my last week of promo before the year ends, -its a week of radio shows.

I'm singing at Columbus, Boston, Florida, Atlanta.
Artists all over America show their gratitude to the radio stations by performing at their xmas shows. Z100 does a spectacular jingle ball not to be missed in NY today. Head down there tonight if u can. Its a fantastic show.

We honestly would not have been where we are today career-wise if it wasn't for radio who were the very first to get behind us. They are the reason that u know or even heard about our music.
These last two weeks in Dec are the ones that artists keep available purely for radio in their diaries, because they know how important it is to show gratitude to the most important people -The radio stations and the listeners. These. Shows are where finally we get to meet the fans personally. Which goes way beyond the thrill of reading successful figures on paper. Actually having your fans sing your song with you word for word at these gigs is when u know u have made something special.
Its a connection between people that feels incredible.

I guess all the xmas stuff around - the carols, the reminders to buy gifts, the xmas movies- are starting to rub off their magic on me. Its making me want to be grateful and thankful.
Everyone I know can't wait for their work year to end so they can have a much deserved break. The economy is low and it sucks because most people deserve so much more especially when we have worked so hard all year.
I hope these holidays can be for you all a time of regrouping, and refreshing. A little gap from the craziness. A time to remember our blessings.
I feel the urge right now to be thankful.

-I am thankful for where I am today.
-For what the journey has taught me so far.
-to all my fans
-for my family and close friends.
-For the fact that history has been made during my life.
-the first black president is certainly something I feel proud to be witnessing..
-i want to thank and honour all the people in my team for being such steadfast support. My band, Das Management, Wilhelmina models, CAA, emi, my co-writers, epic records, as well as every other department of my record company sonyBMG, particularly my radio peeps, you guys work so passionately.
-a big thank you also to the internet department too. you are sooo important.
- thank u to the tv shows that plugged my record this year. NBC, Ellen, the Today show, American Idol, AMAS, Lipstick jungle, chelsea lately, Craig Fergusson, Jay Leno, Regis and Kelly, MTV, VH1, the Batcherlorette, ABC, Degrassi, nicklodean, lipstick jungle (I'm on it tonight by the way), Fashion rocks.

Also
Clear Channel, verizon, live nation, NFL,
Thanks to all those back in uk who are holding down the fort, keeping the coals burning while I've been away.

Jimmy kimmel, its still my dream to go on your show, and I haven't got to yet. U are funny as hell. I wish I was that funny.
I met your sister. She said unwritten is her song cause she always has dirty windows :) she is funny too. I guess talent runs in your family.

Now I've started, I realize there are still so many more to thank. That's all I have time to mention right now cos I'm on the way to pop into the z100 jingle ball. I guess it"ll have to be continued....
Man, this looks like album credits. But, you know, remembering and honouring how wonderful all of those mentioned have been, really feels good and is getting me in the mood for some serious celebration.

Thank u lastly to everyone of my online friends. You are the reason for all of this.

Love and merriness to you

Natasha

I'm so happy for you that your career has taken off like it has Natasha! Your music always makes me feel good. Which is why I have "Pocketful of Sunshine" as the first song on my player on MySpace (and beside my name). I LOVE IT!! Can never get enough. I wish the best to you for the holidays and many more exciting things for 2009! And I hope you DO get to Jimmy Kimmel's show! Our local station in Houston nearly always has a blurb about him on the daily morning news. He's hilarious!

Happy Holidays to you and yours...
Pam

I would like to just say that I truly admire your sincerity and the love you have and have shown in your blog, to the radio stations and the listeners(your fans). It shows great character on your part and so many artist out there seem to forget that they had to start somewhere and forgot who were the people that put or took them to where they currently are.
I wish you the very best this holiday season and I LOVE your music. Play from the heart and you can never go wrong...love and hugs from an old soldier in Iraq ;-)

What a wondeful post. Many thanks to you for making such meaningful beautiful songs and be a role models for little girls out there. Happy Holidays from our family! My kid loves your song and has unwritten as a ring tone--her favorite song, along with Wild Horses.
