Hey Friends!
Thanks for your continued support for the local art scene. Without you, we’d be back to where we were over a year ago.... boring!
We need your help!
In order to make sure that we aren’t missing any artists, we need your input. Who have we missed? In the world of the internet, there are many many people out there that need to be featured and showcased for their talents. This is your chance to chime in. Who should we feature?
The Guidelines: Must live in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, or DC.
Must be an artist. There isn’t a certain definition of what an artist is. An artist can be but isn’t limited too: painters, DJ, musicians (any genre of music), photographer, crafter, designer, film maker, graffiti artist, architect, Singer, poet, writer, journalist, hairstylist
What we need: a portfolio available online to help support the feature. A portfolio can be photos, music, writings, and so on. We just need to be able to access it to check it out for the feature. Artists don’t need to have ever shown their work in an art show or public place. What better way to debut their work than on MC7C’s featured artist of the week? We prefer bands that have played live once or twice or that have compiled a song or two.
What age? Sex? So forth.... none. All Ages. All Shapes and Sizes.
We need contact info or email or website of the artist so we can contact them. Leave their myspace page URL, web URL, email, or links so we can track them down.
You can plug yourself. If your band or art hasn’t been featured....suggest yourself. We would if we were you!
Look around. Everyone knows a couple artists! We have 4,000 plus friends and that’s a lot of undiscovered artists out there in the area! Leave as many artists as possible. Your mom, dad, best friend, co-worker, or crush can be featured.
That’s it. We appreciate all your input and would like to thank the artists/ bands that have emailed us their show dates. We do this in our free time for free, so any help is outstanding. It shows that you are dedicated to your band and to taking responsibilty in helping spread your passion to create original music. For all those who haven’t sent in their show dates, it’s never too late. It’s simple. Just hit message and email us to let us know you’ve added new dates to the calendar. It takes less than 5 minutes of your time. It saves us hours of our personal time. You do the math. Don’t be a jerk. Send us your calendar dates. Help yourself and your future fans.
To the fans: Thanks for supporting local artists. You rock!
Kisses, hugs, and rocknroll. k@t and -Gabe-
