After watching and reading enough of the wisdom of Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, I have finally come to terms with the truth that the Republicans have bestowed upon the world, with their light and wisdom and moose hunting.  And this is the Truth:

Clinton single handedly passed the Community Reinvestment Act, amongst other things, which triggered this crisis ten years later, and it so maneuvered it that the Republicans were powerless to vote against it and to reneg it in the ten years that have passed.  It wasn't their fault.  Can you resist the demonic powers of the Clintons?  Monica couldn't.  And I don't think you could either.  This crisis was bound to happen.  Never mind that it's a result of free market principles, and that those same principles would recover the market in a few months time.  Never mind that!  It's a liberal ploy!

Poor Senators and Representatives.  For six years, they had "control" of the Congress and they had a fellow Republican in as President.  But the liberal media elite beat them to every corner and outflanked them and outmaneuvered them.  How they pined to improve our country!  These patriots and would be patriarchs!  The the evil and corrupting grasp of the liberals ever tightened from the shadows, choking them out.

We cannot blame the Republicans who were in Congress for twelve years.  Twelve short years!  No, but we can blame Clinton for everything bad that's happened.  Clinton who was free and willing and who cast women's legs apart like the I Ching, so he could stare into the future and see what the good and beautiful things the Republicans would do, and spoil them all.  It's no wonder, with such augery powers as this, that Bush could not fix anything, or even will to fix anything, and like Cassandra, though he saw our forecoming doom, no one would listen!

Bush, the hero, the savior, the defender of the American people!  He brought us to a heroic and triumphant war in Iraq that we won back in 2004 and that we're still fighting today.  The Iraqis celebrate us as heroes and triumvirs of democracy.  They don't fight us.  We're fighting foreigners over there, just like we're fighting foreigners on our own lands, those people who would steal our jobs and hospital beds and children at every turn.

And the government!  How evil they are!  The Republicans have done their best at purifying the system, but it's just not good enough after Clinton's awesome demoniacal pursuits.  The government seeks to take away our guns and babies and Jesuses and ability to pledge allegiance at schools at every turn.  Those vile liberals!  Apprehending goodness and liberty at every turn!

Republicans, unite!  Don't bicker and banter.  We must destroy these "liberal" freedom haters.  We must set up concentration camps and burn them all, if freedom is going to survive.  If anyone is gay, or cusses, or has sex before marriage, or talks badly about the Party, they must be punished.  Freedom is at stake!  It's at peril!  We must unite!  We must guard our freedom in a tightly packed black iron prison!

Unite or perish.  This is my warning.  If we fail to do this, the Clinton Administration will unveil themselves and show that they will rule us for ever.  Evil and immortal and immoral empire.

The empire never ended.

Why in the world were you listening to Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck?

But there is *some* truth to President Bush trying to fix some of these problems, and also to Republicans being "scared" into inaction. And President Clinton was a large part of that. It doesn't excuse the Republicans NOT fixing it when they could have, though. Unfortunately, when you believe the choice is between keeping your elected position and doing what's right, not many choose the correct path.
