OK, so I was really hoping the Falcons could find a way to trade up with Detroit so they could get Calvin Johnson. Nonetheless, I was especially pleased with their first three choices. Jamaal Anderson - DE, Justin Blalock - G, and Chris Houston - CB are all great choices. Not sure about the fourth one, Laurent Robinson - WR because I think they should have picked a safety here. The rest of their picks do seem pretty adequate.
Addressing the defensive holes made a great deal of sense. Now that Kerney is gone and Abraham plays so hard that he injures himself too much, Defensive end was probably the best choice for the first pick. Really happy about Martrez Milner - TE being selected from Georgia.
On the subject of Georgia, I think Stafford is going to do great with Bobo (I could write several pages about his creativeness) calling the plays. I'm a little worried about their defense this year but am hoping a couple of potentials will step up.
And how 'bout them Braves?! I think I could watch an entire game this year. They might even make me forget about the '94 strike that I'm still pissed about.
Anyway, what was your biggest surprise or most memorable part of the draft this year?
I guess mine was the fact that Darius Walker - RB from Notre Dame didn't get picked. Oh, and that Brady Quinn thing.
