HATHOR

She symbolizes rebirth.

In Egyptian mythology, Hathor (Egyptian for House of Horus) was originally a personification of the Milky Way, which was seen as the milk that flowed from the udders of a heavenly cow.

Hathor was an ancient goddess, worshipped as a cow-deity from at least 2700 BC, during the 2nd dynasty, and possibly even by the Scorpion King.

The name Hathor refers to the encirclement by her, in the form of the Milky Way, of the night sky and consequently of the god of the sky, Horus.

She was originally seen as the daughter of Ra, the creator whose own cosmic birth was formalised as the Ogdoad cosmogeny.An alternate name for her, which persisted for 3,000 years, was Mehturt (also spelt Mehurt, Mehet-Weret, and Mehet-uret), meaning great flood, a direct reference to her being the milky way.

The Milky Way was seen as a waterway in the heavens, sailed upon by both the sun god and the king, leading the Egyptians to describe it as The Nile in the Sky.

Due to this, and the name mehturt, she was identified as responsible for the yearly inundation of the Nile.

Another consequence of this name is that she was seen as a herald of imminent birth, as when the amniotic sac breaks and floods its waters, it is a medical indicator that the child is due to be born extremely soon.

Hathor was also favored as a protector in desert regions.

Some Egyptologists associate Hathor with artificial light as evidenced by what has been purported to be a representation of an electric lamp in a temple dedicated to her worship. Though other scholars believe the representation to be that of a lotus flower, spawning a snake within.

Goddess of Motherhood

As a provider of milk, and due to cows careful tending of their calves, the cow was a universal symbol of motherhood, and so Hathor became goddess of motherhood, gaining titles such as 'The Great Cow Who Protects Her Child' and 'Mistress of the Sanctuary of Women.'

Because of the aspect of motherhood, her priests were oracles, predicting the fate of the newborn, and midwives delivering them.

As a mother, since she enclosed the sky, she was seen as the mother of Horus.

Symbolically she became the divine mother of the pharaoh, who was identified as Horus.

Since Horus's wife was Isis, Hathor was sometimes said to be her mother, although it was more accurate to say she was her mother in law.

As Horus was also said to be the son of Ra, Hathor was identified as Ra's wife (Ra created her in a non-sexual manner), gaining the title Mistress of Heaven. Having been identified as Ra's wife, it was said she arose from Ra's tears, and thus was identified as the Eye of Ra.

In art, Hathor was often depicted as a golden cow (sometimes covered in stars), with the titles Cow of Gold, and The one who shines like gold, or as a woman with the ears of a cow and a headdress of horns holding the sun-disc, which represented Ra.

Also, Hathor was sometimes identified as a hippopotamus, which the Egyptians also considered quite motherly creatures, and sometimes as an aquatic form of the cow.

In her position as divine mother to the pharaoh, Hathor was sometimes depicted as a cow standing in a boat (representing the boat of Ra with which he, as the sun, crosses through the sky), surrounded by tall papyrus reeds (as were common in the Nile delta), with the pharaoh often pictured as a calf standing next to her.

As divine mother, she was also represented with, or as, an uraeus, a stylised cobra, which symbolised royal power.

Sometimes, the local depictions of Hathor, with their slight variations on emphasising certain features, were treated separately, and seven of them, any seven, which was perceived as a mystical number (it divides the lunar month into 4 equal parts, and was the number of known planets at the time), named by their different titles, were considered special if gathered together.

These Seven Hathors, in Hathor's context as a mother, were said to dress in disguise as young women, and attend the birth of a child, and then one by one announce aspects of his fate. In later centuries, this 7-fold aspect of Hathor was identified as the Pleiades.

Fertility Goddess

The cow's large eyes with long lashes and generally quiet demeanor were often considered to suggest a gentle aspect of feminine beauty. There are still cultures in the world where to say that a girl is as pretty as a heifer is a great compliment, rather than taking you cow as an insult. And so Hathor rapidly became a goddess of beauty, and fertility, thus also a patron goddess for lovers.

A tale grew up around this in which Ra is described as having been upset over Horus' victory over Set (representing the conquest in 3000BC of Lower Egypt by Upper Egypt), and went off to be alone, and so Hathor went to him and started to dance and stripped naked, showing him her genitals, which cheered him up, so he returned.

(This has made certain readers believe that the sun god was extremley perverted, which may be true). The tale is thought also to describe a solar eclipse, as it depicts Ra, the sun, going away to sulk, and then returning when cheered up.

In her position as a female fertility goddess, who readily strips naked, she was often depicted in red, the color of passion, though her sacred color is turquoise, and so gained the titles Lady of the scarlet-colored garment, and Lady of [sexual] offerings (Nebet Hetepet in Egyptian).

Sometimes her fertility aspect was depicted symbolically as a field of reeds. Her position as one of beauty lead to her being depicted in portrait, which was highly unusual by Egyptian artistic conventions, indeed, only she and Bes were ever depicted in this manner.

Her beauty also lead to her being symbolically depicted by mirrors. Hathor's image was also often used to form the capitals of columns in Egyptian architecture.

Musician

Eventually, Hathor's identity as a cow-goddess of fertility, meant that her Hathor became identified with another ancient cow-goddess of fertility, Bata. It still remains an unanswered question amongst Egyptologists as to why Bata survived as an independent goddess for so long. Bata was, in some respects, connected to the Ba, an aspect of the soul, and so Hathor gained an association with the afterlife. It was said that, with her motherly character, she greeted the souls of the dead in the underworld, and proffered them with refreshments of food, and of drink. She was also sometimes described as mistress of the acropolis.

The assimilation of Bata, who was associated with the sistrum, a musical instrument, brought with it an association with music. In this form, Hathor's cult became centred in Dendera and was led by priests who were also dancers, singers, and other entertainers. Hathor's temple at Dendera contains an image, that has come to be known as the Dendera Light, which some have controversially claimed may be a depiction of an electric lamp. Hathor also became associated with the menat, the turquoise musical necklace often worn by women.

The protector and sponsor of dancers, Hathor was associated with percussive music, in particular the sistrum. Her traditional votive offering was two mirrors, the better with which to see both her beauty and your own.

Hathor's image, specifically her head, was traditionally used to decorate sistrums and mirrors. Thus when gazing at one's own reflection in the mirror, you would see Hathor looking back, from underneath one's own face, serving as foundation and support, perhaps as role model and goal. This imagery was standard and ubiquitous, it also commonly decorates architectural columns, however one is forced to ask, how would one know it was Hathor? Usually by the cow ears but even more consistently by the hair-do.

Hathor's hair is dressed in so characteristic a fashion that the style now bears her name: archaeologists have dubbed it the "Hathor hair-do." This style is utterly distinctive and perhaps surprisingly modern to our eyes. It is not the heavily bejeweled, elaborately braided hair so commonly depicted in other ancient Egyptian imagery. Rather it is simplicity in the extreme: a simple flip, often parted down the middle.

The 'do wouldn't have looked at all out of place on a French or English mod girl pop singer of the early to mid '60's- a Marianne Faithfull perhaps or Francoise Hardy. It is a simple hairstyle, a hairstyle one can conceivably maintain by oneself, without extensive wigs, servants or leisure time. It is very much an equalizing hairstyle. Ironically, then, it is a hairstyle most commonly seen in the depiction of deities, especially beautiful love goddesses, perhaps demonstrating the intensity of their self-confidence.

While other ancient Egyptian hairstyles are instantly recognizable even today as solely Egyptian, the Hathor hair-do seems to have set an international style, in particular traveling all over the Middle East. Other goddesses are depicted wearing this style, in fact it seems to have become the goddess hairstyle, favored by all the most fashionable deities.

A hymn to Hathor says:

    Thou art the Mistress of Jubilation, the Queen of the Dance, the Mistress of Music, the Queen of the Harp Playing, the Lady of the Choral Dance, the Queen of Wreath Weaving, the Mistress of Inebriety Without End.

Essentially, Hathor had become a goddess of Joy, and so she was deeply loved by the general population, and truly revered by women, who aspired to embody her multifaceted role as wife, mother, and lover.

In this capacity, she gained the titles of Lady of the House of Jubilation, and The One Who Fills the Sanctuary with Joy. The worship of Hathor was so popular that more festivals were dedicated to her honour that any other Egyptian deity, and more children were named after this goddess than any other. Even Hathor's priesthood was unusual, in that both men, and women, became her priests.

Bloodthirsty Warrior

The Middle Kingdom was founded when Upper Egypt's Pharaoh, Mentuhotep II, took control over Lower Egypt, which had become independent during the First Intermediate Period by force. This unification had been achieved by a brutal war that was to last some 28 years, but when it ceased, calm returned, and the reign of the next Pharaoh, Mentuhotep III, was peaceful, and Egypt once again became prosperous.

A tale, from the perspective of Lower Egypt, developed around this.In the tale, Ra (representing the Pharaoh of Upper Egypt) was no longer respected by the people (of Lower Egypt) and they ceased to obey his authority, which made him so angry that he sent out Sekhmet (war goddess of Upper Egypt) to destroy them, but Sekhmet was so bloodthirsty that she could not be stopped. Ra pours blood-coloured beer on the ground, tricking Sekhmet, who thinks it to be blood, into drinking it, which makes her stop the slaughter, and become loving, and kind.

The form that Sekhmet had become by the end of the tale was identical in character to Hathor, and so a cult arose, at the start of the Middle Kingdom, which dualistically identified Sekhmet with Hathor, making them one goddess, Sekhmet-Hathor, with two sides.

Consequently, Hathor, as Sekhmet-Hathor, was sometimes depicted as a lioness.

Sometimes this joint name was corrupted to Sekhathor (also spelt Sechat-Hor, Sekhat-Heru), meaning (one who) remembers Horus (the uncorrupted form would mean (the) powerful house of Horus.

However, the two goddesses were so different, indeed almost diametrically opposed, that the identification did not last.

Wife of Thoth

When Horus was identified as Ra, under the name Ra-Herakhty, Hathor's position became unclear, since she had been the wife of Ra, but mother of Horus, whose wife was Isis. Many attempts to solve this gave Ra-Herakhty a new wife, Ausaas, to solve this issue around who Ra-Herakhty's wife was. However, this left open the question of how Hathor could be his mother, since this would imply that Ra-Herakhty was a child of Hathor, rather than a creator.

In areas where the cult of Thoth was strong, Thoth was identified as the creator, leading to it being said that Thoth was the father of Ra-Herakhty, thus Hathor, as the mother of Ra-Herakhty, was in this version referred to as Thoth's wife. Since Ra-Herakhty was, in this version of the Ogdoad cosmogeny, depicted as a young child, often referred to as Neferhor, when considered the wife of Thoth, Hathor was often depicted as a female nursing a child.

Since Thoth's wife had earlier been considered to be Seshat, Hathor began to be attributed with many of Seshat's features. Since Seshat was associated with records, and with acting as witness at the judgement of souls, these aspects became attributed to Hathor, which, together with her position as goddess of all that was good, lead to her being described as the (one who) expels evil, which in Egyptian is Nechmetawaj also spelt Nehmet-awai, and Nehmetawy). Nechmetawaj can also be understood to mean (one who) recovers stolen goods, and so, in this form, she became goddess of stolen goods.

Outside the Thoth cult, it was considered important to retain the position of Ra-Herakhty (i.e. Ra) as self-created (via only the primal forces of the Ogdoad). Consequently, Hathor could not be identified as Ra-Herakhty's mother.

Hathor's role in the process of death, that of welcoming the newly dead with food and drink, lead, in such circumstances, to her being identified as a jolly wife for Nehebkau, the guardian of the entrance to the underworld, and binder of the Ka. Nethertheless, in this form, she retained the name of Nechmetawaj, since her aspect as a returner of stolen goods was important to society, and so considered worth noting.

Later Years

When the Ennead and the Ogdoad were combined, when Ra and Atum were identified as one another, Hathor, as the daughter of the combined Atum-Ra, was sometimes confused with Tefnut. Consequently, the tale, a metaphor for an historic drought, in which Tefnut had fled Egypt after an argument with her husband (Shu), but is persuaded to return, became occasionally transformed into one in which Hathor had an argument with Ra, and fled, later returning.

The aspect of the story in which Tefnut turned into a cat and attacked those who went near, neatly fitted with the tale in which Hathor was said to have been Sekhmet, contributing to the frequency with which the tale occurred featuring Hathor rather than Tefnut.

Beliefs about Ra himself had been hovering around the identification of him, a sun god, with Horus, who by this time was also a sun god, in the combined form Ra-Herakhty, and so for some time, Isis had intermittently been considered the wife of Ra, since she was the wife of Horus.

Consequently, Hathor became identified with Isis, and since this identification was much simpler than that of Horus and Ra, it was more strongly, and more permanantly made.

In this form, which, technically, is really Isis, Hathor's mother was consequently Nuit, and she was sometimes even described as being the wife of Horus, leading to a level of confusion, in which Horus, as Hathor's son, was also his own father.

This form of Horus was known as Horus-Bedhety, referring to Bedhet, where the view was most commonly held, or as Ihy, referring to his aspect as a sistrum player, since he was the son of Hathor, who was by now associated with the sistrum. When Horus assimilated with Anhur, to become Arsnuphis, so Hathor was occasionally Anhur's mother as well.

Nethertheless, when Ra subsequently assimilated Amun, into Amun-Ra, it was sometimes said that Hathor, as a cow, was married to Sobek, or rather to a generic crocodile-god, since Sobek had become thought of as merely a manifestation of Amun.

Shortly afterwards, Hathor became fully merged into Isis, whose cult was much stronger.

Hathor Outside the Nile

Hathor was worshipped in Canaan in the 11th century BC, which at that time was ruled by Egypt, at her holy city of Hazor, which the Old Testament claims was destroyed by Joshua (Joshua 11:13, 21).

The Sinai Tablets show that the Hebrew workers in the mines of Sinai about 1500 BC worshipped Hathor, whom they identified with the goddess Astarte.

Some theories state that the golden calf mentioned in the bible was meant to be a statue of the goddess Hathor (Exodus 32:4-32:6.), although it is more likely to be a representation of the 2 golden calves set up by Rehoboam, an enemy of the levite priesthood, which marked the borders of his kingdom.

The Greeks also loved Hathor and equated her with their own goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.

Some ancient texts refer to a serpent of light residing in the heavens. This is believed to have been inspired by the Milky Way (a similar allusion to the ouroboros).


In general, the Egyptian gods and Egyptian religion did not travel. The ancient Egyptians were insular, not overly interested in importing or exporting deities. Eventually Isis would become the great exception, with temples in Rome, and throughout Europe, Africa and Asia, as far away as the British Isles. Hathor was her trailblazing predecessor. Beyond the traditional borders of Egypt and Nubia, Hathor was worshipped throughout Semitic West Asia, beloved particularly in the city of Byblos.

She was also adored as far afield as what is modern Ethiopia, Somalia and Libya. The seed of what would be universally beloved within Isis also existed within Hathor. Their appeal transcends national or ethnic boundaries: Hathor perhaps embodies the wishes of those who long for life to be generously benevolent and abundant, while Isis embodies the hopes of those who wish for mercy and kindness.

Hathor was associated with turquoise, malachite and the metals gold and copper. [alchemy of consciousness]

Her demeanor glows with consistent confidence and sunny, good health. Hers is a warm, sensual beauty not aloof or remote. Although she ruled the perfumer's trade in general, Hathor was especially connected with the fragrance of myrrh, which was exceedingly precious to the ancient Egyptians and which on a spiritual level embodied the finest qualities of the feminine.

In Mesopotamia, the beautiful and stylish, ever youthful if fierce, Ishtar dresses her hair this way. So do the beautiful Western Semitic love and war goddesses, Anat and Astarte, who would eventually achieve great popularity in ancient Egypt, perhaps the only foreign deities to do so. They would become incorporated into Egyptian mythology, serving as the designated consolation prize brides for Seth, in the face-saving compromise that concludes his loss to Horus. Anat and Astarte, the ancient equivalent of hot foreign babes, of course wear only the most stylish of hairdos.

Technically, we have no way of actually knowing where this hair-do originated or with whom. However, Hathor's influence remains so consistent that no matter where an ancient goddess plaque is dug up, if she's wearing that flip, she is automatically described as wearing the Hathor hair do. What the goddesses who wear this style have in common with Hathor beyond celestial beauty is a willingness to boldly battle on behalf of justice, their families and followers.

Ishtar, Anat and Hathor: these images of beauty are not passive or vain but action-oriented brave women, perhaps so confident of their inherent beauty that elaborate adornment becomes only necessary for their own pleasure, not as a needed demonstration.

Hathor took on an uncharacteristically destructive aspect in the legend of the Eye of Ra. According to this legend, Ra sent the Eye of Ra in the form of Hathor to destroy humanity, believing that they were plotting aganist him. However, Re changed his mind and flooded the fields with beer, dyed red to look like blood. Hathor stopped to drink the beer, and, having become intoxicated, never carried out her deadly mission. Therefore as a fertility goddess and a goddess of moisture, Hathor was associated with the inundation of the Nile. In this aspect she was associated with the Dog-star Sothis - Sirius - whose rising above the horizon heralded the annual flooding of the Nile.

In the legend of Ra and Hathor she is called the Eye of Ra.

The sun disc reresents the creational light - the word Re - Ra - meaning ray of light.

Her image could also be used to form the capitals of columns in Egyptian architecture. Her principal sanctuary was at Dendera, where her cult had its early focus, and where it may have had its origin. At Dendera, she was particularly worshipped in her role as a goddess of fertility, of women, and of childbirth. At Thebes she was regarded as a goddess of the dead under the title of the 'Lady of the West', associated with the sun god Re on his descent below the western horizon. The Greeks identified Hathor with Aphrodite who was Venus (as in Hathors from Venus).

Frog headed Goddess of creation, childbirth.

She is the moon which since earliest times was understood to be linked with the ebb and flow of water and of fertility. Thus, she is associated with the germination of grain.

Heqet is one of eight deities associated with creation; she is the consort of Khnum, the ram-headed god.  Heqet is the one who instills the spark of life into the body that Khnum molds out of clay.

During childbirth, women wore her amulets. 

Heqet (Heket) was a goddess of childbirth, creation and grain germination. She was depicted as a frog, or a woman with the head of a frog, betraying her connection with water. As a water goddess, she was also a goddess of fertility where she was particularly associated with the later stages of labour. In this way, the title of "Servants of Heqet" may have been a title applied to her priestesses who were trained as midwives.

The ancient Egyptians saw thousands of frogs appear all along the Nile at certain times of the year. This appearance of the reptile came to symbolise fruitfulness and coming life.

She was thought to be the wife of Khnum, the god who creates men on his potter's wheel, and she gave the newly created being the breath of life before the child was placed to grow in the mother's womb.

In the story of the triplets who would be pharaohs, she was the goddess of magically "hastens the birth", in an unspecified manner.

In Hatshepsut's birth colonnade, it is Heqet, with Khnum, who led Ahmose to the birthing room. She also was depicted as the goddess who held the ankh sign of life to Hatshepsut and her ka, fulfilling her job as the giver of life to the newly created child.

She originally appears in the pyramid texts where she helps the pharaoh ascend into the sky. She is also connected with the Osiris myth in the "Funeral of Osiris" at Dendera:

Osiris, ithyphallic and bearded, in mummied form, lying upon his bier; over his feet and his body hover the hawks. At the head kneels Hathor, "Mistress of Amentet, who weepeth for 'her brother'," and at the foot is a frog symbol of the goddess Heqet, beneath the bier are an ibis-headed god holding the Utchat, two serpents, and the god Bes. As such, she was not only a goddess of birth, but of rebirth, because of her life-giving powers.

Amulets of Heqet were worn by women to protect them while they gave birth. During the Middle Kingdom ritual ivory knives and clappers (a type of percussional musical instrument) bore her name or image as protection for inside the home.

There was a Ptolemaic temple to Heqet at Qus, of which only a pylon remains. She was also known as "Lady of Her-wer": A tomb at Tuna el-Gebel has text speaks about a procession in her honor where she asks that the temple of Heqet at Her-wer be restored and protected from inundation, but this temple has not been found, yet.

As divine mother, she was also represented with, or as, an uraeus, a stylised cobra, which symbolised royal power.

Sometimes, the local depictions of Hathor, with their slight variations on emphasising certain features, were treated separately, and seven of them, any seven, which was perceived as a mystical number (it divides the lunar month into 4 equal parts, and was the number of known planets at the time), named by their different titles, were considered special if gathered together. These Seven Hathors, in Hathor's context as a mother, were said to dress in disguise as young women, and attend the birth of a child, and then one by one announce aspects of his fate. In later centuries, this 7-fold aspect of Hathor was identified as the Pleiades.

[edit] Fertility goddess

The cow's large eyes with long lashes and generally quiet demeanor were often considered to suggest a gentle aspect of feminine beauty. There are still cultures in the world where to say that a girl is as pretty as a heifer is a great compliment, rather than taking you cow as an insult. And so Hathor rapidly became a goddess of beauty, and fertility, thus also a patron goddess for lovers.

A tale grew up around this in which Ra is described as having been upset over Horus' victory over Set (representing the conquest in 3000BC of Lower Egypt by Upper Egypt), and went off to be alone, and so Hathor went to him and started to dance and stripped naked, showing him her genitals, which cheered him up, so he returned. The tale is thought also to describe a solar eclipse, as it depicts Ra, the sun, going away to sulk, and then returning when cheered up.

In her position as a female fertility goddess, who readily strips naked, she was often depicted in red, the color of passion, though her sacred color is turquoise, and so gained the titles Lady of the scarlet-coloured garment, and Lady of [sexual] offerings (Nebet Hetepet in Egyptian). Sometimes her fertility aspect was depicted symbolically as a field of reeds. Her position as one of beauty lead to her being depicted in portrait, which was highly unusual by Egyptian artistic conventions, indeed, only she and Bes were ever depicted in this manner. Her beauty also lead to her being symbolically depicted by mirrors. Hathor's image was also often used to form the capitals of columns in Egyptian architecture.

Eventually, Hathor's identity as a cow-goddess of fertility, meant that her Hathor became identified with another ancient cow-goddess of fertility, Bata. It still remains an unanswered question amongst Egyptologists as to why Bata survived as an independent goddess for so long. Bata was, in some respects, connected to the Ba, an aspect of the soul, and so Hathor gained an association with the afterlife. It was said that, with her motherly character, she greeted the souls of the dead in the underworld, and proffered them with refreshments of food, and of drink. She was also sometimes described as mistress of the acropolis.

The assimilation of Bata, who was associated with the sistrum, a musical instrument, brought with it an association with music. In this form, Hathor's cult became centred in Dendera and was led by priests who were also dancers, singers, and other entertainers. Hathor's temple at Dendera contains an image, that has come to be known as the Dendera Light, which some have controversially claimed may be a depiction of an electric lamp. Hathor also became associated with the menat, the turquoise musical necklace often worn by women. A hymn to Hathor says:

Thou art the Mistress of Jubilation, the Queen of the Dance, the Mistress of Music, the Queen of the Harp Playing, the Lady of the Choral Dance, the Queen of Wreath Weaving, the Mistress of Inebriety Without End.

Essentially, Hathor had become a goddess of Joy, and so she was deeply loved by the general population, and truly revered by women, who aspired to embody her multifaceted role as wife, mother, and lover. In this capacity, she gained the titles of Lady of the House of Jubilation, and The One Who Fills the Sanctuary with Joy. The worship of Hathor was so popular that more festivals were dedicated to her honour than any other Egyptian deity, and more children were named after this goddess than any other. Even Hathor's priesthood was unusual, in that both men, and women, became her priests.

[edit] Bloodthirsty warrior

The Middle Kingdom was founded when Upper Egypt's Pharaoh, Mentuhotep II, took control over Lower Egypt, which had become independent during the First Intermediate Period by force. This unification had been achieved by a brutal war that was to last some 28 years, but when it ceased, calm returned, and the reign of the next Pharaoh, Mentuhotep III, was peaceful, and Egypt once again became prosperous. A tale, from the perspective of Lower Egypt, developed around this.

In the tale, Ra (representing the Pharaoh of Upper Egypt) was no longer respected by the people (of Lower Egypt) and they ceased to obey his authority, which made him so angry that he sent out Sekhmet (war goddess of Upper Egypt) to destroy them, but Sekhmet was so bloodthirsty that she could not be stopped. Ra pours blood-coloured beer on the ground, tricking Sekhmet, who thinks it to be blood, into drinking it, which makes her stop the slaughter, and become loving, and kind.

The form that Sekhmet had become by the end of the tale was identical in character to Hathor, and so a cult arose, at the start of the Middle Kingdom, which dualistically identified Sekhmet with Hathor, making them one goddess, Sekhmet-Hathor, with two sides. Consequently, Hathor, as Sekhmet-Hathor, was sometimes depicted as a lioness. Sometimes this joint name was corrupted to Sekhathor (also spelt Sechat-Hor, Sekhat-Heru), meaning (one who) remembers Horus (the uncorrupted form would mean (the) powerful house of Horus. However, the two goddesses were so different, indeed almost diametrically opposed, that the identification did not last.

When Horus was identified as Ra, under the name Ra-Herakhty, Hathor's position became unclear, since she had been the wife of Ra, but mother of Horus. Many attempts to solve this gave Ra-Herakhty a new wife, Ausaas, to solve this issue around who Ra-Herakhty's wife was. However, this left open the question of how Hathor could be his mother, since this would imply that Ra-Herakhty was a child of Hathor, rather than a creator.

In areas where the cult of Thoth was strong, Thoth was identified as the creator, leading to it being said that Thoth was the father of Ra-Herakhty, thus Hathor, as the mother of Ra-Herakhty, was in this version referred to as Thoth's wife. Since Ra-Herakhty was, in this version of the Ogdoad cosmogeny, depicted as a young child, often referred to as Neferhor, when considered the wife of Thoth, Hathor was often depicted as a female nursing a child.

Since Thoth's wife had earlier been considered to be Seshat, Hathor began to be attributed with many of Seshat's features. Since Seshat was associated with records, and with acting as witness at the judgement of souls, these aspects became attributed to Hathor, which, together with her position as goddess of all that was good, lead to her being described as the (one who) expels evil, which in Egyptian is Nechmetawaj also spelt Nehmet-awai, and Nehmetawy). Nechmetawaj can also be understood to mean (one who) recovers stolen goods, and so, in this form, she became goddess of stolen goods.

Outside the Thoth cult, it was considered important to retain the position of Ra-Herakhty (i.e. Ra) as self-created (via only the primal forces of the Ogdoad). Consequently, Hathor could not be identified as Ra-Herakhty's mother. Hathor's role in the process of death, that of welcoming the newly dead with food and drink, lead, in such circumstances, to her being identified as a jolly wife for Nehebkau, the guardian of the entrance to the underworld, and binder of the Ka. Nethertheless, in this form, she retained the name of Nechmetawaj, since her aspect as a returner of stolen goods was important to society, and so considered worth noting.

When the Ennead and the Ogdoad were combined, when Ra and Atum were identified as one another, Hathor, as the daughter of the combined Atum-Ra, was sometimes confused with Tefnut. Consequently, the tale, a metaphor for an historic drought, in which Tefnut had fled Egypt after an argument with her husband (Shu), but is persuaded to return, became occasionally transformed into one in which Hathor had an argument with Ra, and fled, later returning. The aspect of the story in which Tefnut turned into a cat and attacked those who went near, neatly fitted with the tale in which Hathor was said to have been Sekhmet, contributing to the frequency with which the tale occurred featuring Hathor rather than Tefnut.

Beliefs about Ra himself had been hovering around the identification of him, a sun god, with Horus, who by this time was also a sun god, in the combined form Ra-Herakhty. Consequently, Hathor became identified with Isis, and since this identification was much simpler than that of Horus and Ra, it was more strongly, and more permanently made.

In this form, which, technically, is really Isis, Hathor's mother was consequently Nut, and she was sometimes even described as being the wife of Horus, leading to a level of confusion, in which Horus, as Hathor's son, was also his own father. This form of Horus was known as Horus-Bedhety, referring to Bedhet, where the view was most commonly held, or as Ihy, referring to his aspect as a sistrum player, since he was the son of Hathor, who was by now associated with the sistrum. When Horus assimilated with Anhur, to become Arsnuphis, so Hathor was occasionally Anhur's mother as well.

Nethertheless, when Ra subsequently assimilated Amun, into Amun-Ra, it was sometimes said that Hathor, as a cow, was married to Sobek, or rather to a generic crocodile-god, since Sobek had become thought of as merely a manifestation of Amun. Shortly afterwards, Hathor became fully merged into Isis, whose cult was much stronger.

Hathor was worshipped in Canaan in the 11th century BC, which at that time was ruled by Egypt, at her holy city of Hazor, which the Old Testament claims was destroyed by Joshua (Joshua 11:13, 21). The Sinai Tablets show that the Hebrew workers in the mines of Sinai about 1500 BC worshipped Hathor, whom they identified with the goddess Astarte. Some theories state that the golden calf mentioned in the Bible was meant to be a statue of the goddess Hathor (Exodus 32:4-32:6.), although it is more likely to be a representation of the 2 golden calves set up by Rehoboam, an enemy of the levite priesthood, which marked the borders of his kingdom.

The Greeks also loved Hathor and equated her with their own goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.

Some ancient texts refer to a serpent of light residing in the heavens. This is believed to have been inspired by the Milky Way (a similar allusion to the ouroboros).

A Message from the Hathors and Tom Kenyon

We have been besieged by an unprecedented number of requests from many people for my take on the recent earthquake/tsunami disaster in Asia. Quite frankly, I find such requests a bit unnerving—as if someone might be giving my thoughts more credence than they deserve. In any event, I went into meditation a few days ago to sense what might be in the ethers, so to speak, and in that process I asked the Hathors (who are interdimensional beings I have been working with since the early nineties), what they thought. They told me to go back and read something they had given me seven months earlier. When I did, I was stunned.

The message below is what they gave me last June (2004). It addresses a wide range of issues, including future Earth changes. At the time I found it too disturbing to release to the public. The last thing I wanted to do was add to the New Age glut of Earth prophecies, dooms day scenarios and general millennium madness. I decided, for better or worse, to wait it out, and see if any of what they foresaw actually took place.

Now, as I sit in the pouring rain at Kealakekua Bay in Hawaii, several days after the earthquake and tsunamis in Asia, I am sobered by what the Hathors told me back in June. Given the nature of their message, I wanted to talk about it a little in order to give it a broader context.

For those of you who don't know who the Hathors are, and would like a little more info, you can hop up onto the web and do a search for Hathors (not to be confused with the Egyptian fertility goddess, Hator—though they are related)*. There are many people now working with the Hathors in one way or another. For the record, I work with thirteen mentors out of an intergalactic/interdimensional civilization of several million (if you accept that mythos).

What I am trying to say here is that this viewpoint is one small cross section of a culture. To say that this message is a message from "The" Hathors, is like saying that a message is from The Hopi. There is no "The Hopi". There are many individuals making up the Hopi and thus many diverse opinions as to what should, or should not be done. Just look at the recent history of the US government bringing water pipes into the pueblos and you will see what I am talking about. Some Hopi were for the pipes, while others were not—fearing the enslavement of water bills and taxes.

My point is that there is almost always a plethora of opinions, and the Hathors are no different. In this instance, however, at least as far as I can tell, the thoughts expressed by my Group are the consensus opinion of the vast majority of the Hathor culture. There are differing opinions as to the timeline, since—as they have told me repeatedly—the future is not a predetermined certainty but rather a multi-dimensional set of probabilities and possibilities.

I will say this again because I think it is vital to understand in our current situation:

The message, below, addresses several areas of concern, most notably climatic and Earth changes, but their take, as in so many things, is quite unique. Essentially they are saying that we are in a very dangerous passage in regard to our physical survival, and that, seemingly unknown to us, we collectively hold a key to our survival—if we will only use it.

The key to which they refer is the act of living in ever-increasing levels of appreciation. They have commented on this to me on numerous occasions. The quasi-science on this (meaning this view is theoretical as opposed to being generally accepted by mainstream science) is that our DNA responds to our emotional state (our feelings) and then emits light and energy-patterns that affect matter. In other words, our DNA somehow affects our external reality through a process of vortex mechanics. I am not going to try to describe this here because most people aren't interested. You can find research reports on this type of thing by doing an internet search on—DNA and consciousness. Especially check out the work of The Heart Math Institute.

In my own personal experiments with appreciation, I have found that when it is experienced for longer than a few minutes, it often produces a hypnotic-type feeling of bliss, which I equate to an increase in endorphins. At the very least, I think most of us would benefit from regular periods of appreciation/bliss in the course of our day-to-day lives.

The challenge for many persons is how to feel appreciation when there is seemingly no reason for it. I have actually addressed this question in a previous letter, when the Hathors gave a message on the importance of this emotion, about a year ago.

I think we are facing a collective and global intelligence test. If we fail to wake up in time to our power as creator-gods, taking both action and responsibility, knowing that our consciousness affects external events, we will pass into oblivion—much like the dinosaurs of old and integrity in government. We are in a time of immense chaos and transformation. Interestingly, the Chinese word for transformation consists of two ideograms—both danger and opportunity. Unquestionably, we live in dangerous times. I don't think anyone would deny that. And the evolutionary task, I think, is for each of us to find the opportunities and take the actions to transform ourselves even in the midst of life's increasing dangers. It would be far easier to contract into ourselves and re-treat from the world, but I think that would be a grave mistake—literally.

To make things ever more daunting, we are living in the midst of a dying world, both literally and figuratively. Just read the latest scientific reports on the condition of the ecosystem, including the melting of the polar ice caps, and it becomes crystal clear what dire shape things are in. But the death of our world also includes the collapse of our modern ways of living because, quite frankly, they are unsustainable. It hurts both the Earth and its inhabitants.

So what will the new world look like on the other side of this metaphorical (or perhaps literal) death? I don't think anyone really knows for sure.

What the Hathors say is that we collectively hold a key to our own survival and destiny. The question is whether we will wake up in time to use it.

Final Thoughts on Pragmatism

I am a practical person and I don't usually go for things that are too-pie-in-the-sky, so when the Hathors' suggested that appreciation is the key for changing destiny, I hesitated.
I mean how many of us will it take living in appreciation to tip the gyroscopic balance of our destiny in favor of our collective survival? And just how many hours a day does it require to be in appreciation to be effective?

To be honest, I can't sustain a continual state of this emotion for more than a few hours. Something always comes along to blow it. So I find myself having to regroup my mental carnival from time to time in order to re-enter the appreciative state. But when I do, it is well worth the effort. And that may be the main reason for this mental/emotional discipline—it increases wellbeing.

I don't really know if we can tip the collective scale. I don't mean to be a pessimist, but it is in my nature. Actually I am a strange bird, an odd mix of optimist and fatalist. I usually reside somewhere in the middle, though something can send me flying to one side or the other, like the pendulum on an old grandfather clock. But usually I just hang somewhere midway between up and down. I am the kind of guy who, when he sees a glass of water, sees it neither half full, nor half empty. It simply is.

And that's how I see things currently in the world—it just is. Yes, I know that last sentence was technically a grammatical error. I say this for the benefit of those grammarian souls who live just for the opportunity to pounce upon a misplaced participle or whatever. Sometimes we need to abandon the rules in order to make a point. And quite frankly, I think that freedom of expression should take precedence over rules and grammarian dogma—when it is needed. In a similar vein, I think we will collectively need to abandon some of the rules we have been given on how to live a life—like not making waves and pretending that everything is alright and that we can continue to live like we are used to. If we don't change how we are living on this planet (both in terms of outer action and inner feelings) I suspect that soon we will not have a life worth living.

So what is this isness of our world right now? Chaos. No doubt about it. Things are up in the air all over the place, and life is becoming increasingly surreal as we move closer to that mythic, often hyped, Mayan end-of-the-world-as-we-knew-it party (2012 or thereabouts, though some people are quibbling over the actual date and what it means).

On a bad day (when fatalism reigns supreme in my inner kingdom) I look at the world and wonder, what the—to use a grand old word from the King's English—f__k is going on. I mean can we humans really be that stupid? Well, evidently yes. And on these glum days I see little hope for any movement up the evolutionary ladder. In fact, when I see the rampant stupidity going on around (and to be honest, sometimes inside) me, I think we will be forever set-back a grade and never graduate from Middle School—or is it Elementary?

Then on those wondrous optimistic days I look at the chaos of the world and know that chaos is actually a highly creative state. Anything can happen. Unpredictable miracles can and do occur (along with horrors, but that's another story). The point is that we are in a highly volatile time and the course of events can change in a moment's notice. I pray for this change of course every day, and in my optimistically flavored moments, I see reasons to hope that it shall be so.

But whatever the outcome, the show isn't over. And it won't be over—to use George Carlin's politically correct turn of phrase—until the weight challenged lady sings!

I guess what I want to say personally here, to answer those people who have asked for my take on the current state of affairs—is to enjoy your life more. Find things to appreciate and practice senseless moments of appreciation just for the heck of it. It will help make you more creative, resourceful and intelligent and less of a stick-in-the-mud and evolutionary slacker. And who knows, maybe if enough of us try it, we just might tip the scales in favor of our survival as a species.

A Message for the Life Sustainers

A Message from the Hathors through Tom Kenyon

You are at a pivotal point in the fulcrum of consciousness. Your earth is about to undergo a purification the likes of which have not been seen for 26,000 years. The timelines of this would have been sooner were it not for the intervention of beings in many realms and the efforts of what you call light workers, which we view as "life sustainers."

There is a highly catalytic energy coming from deep space, which is striking the Great Central Sun (of your galaxy) and the Sun of your solar system. Your Sun is experiencing immense changes in its magnetic field, and this is, in turn, affecting the magnetic field of your Earth. This is altering many dynamic systems on your planet including, but not limited to, the oceanic conveyer belt. This deep-space energy that is affecting both the Sun and your Earth is essentially an energy of accelerating self-awareness and spiritual evolution. The universe (or at least this part of it) is waking up to itself in new and different ways. And this process of increased self-awareness is speeding things up, so to speak. It is important to realize that what looks like a disturbance at one level of consciousness can be seen as a catalyst at another level.

Whether life is allowed to continue on this planet or not, will be decided collectively through a reaction to the choices you make as humanity. If the collective is able to receive these energies from deep space and make an evolutionary and spiritual leap, the disturbance of the electromagnetic fields, specifically the magnetic poles, will not affect the conveyer belt the way that it is now. Think of yourself as living on a giant gyroscope. The slightest movement of a gyroscope creates tremendous movement in the rings of the gyroscope, the stabilizing rings. So the gyroscope of Earth is fluctuating, but this fluctuation can be expressed as physical manifestation, or as elevations of consciousness. But if the collective consciousness of this Earth does not elevate quick enough, then the gyroscope will simply transfer the energy to the physical dimension, specifically the magnetic poles and the magnetic field, which, in turn, affects the conveyer belt. If the conveyer stops, life, as you know it, will become very difficult or end altogether, quickly. We would say to you that you are very close to this point.

As to weather, expect increasingly turbulent storms of greater strength and amplitude. We wish to convey to you a clear understanding that these storms are an out-picturing of the violence, the misdirected energy, and the imbalance of human consciousness. If, somehow, enough individual consciousnesses within the collective are able to elevate themselves into the fifth or higher dimensions of consciousness, the energies from deep space will be integrated through the process of elevation.

If, collectively, you are not able to attain this, these energies will affect the physical aspect of Earth's gyroscope, to use that metaphor. And life as you know it and have experienced it will be very difficult due to climatic and Earth changes. You are about to see a tremendous increase in geothermal activity, including volcanoes and earthquakes. You are already seeing a tremendous increase in tornadoes and this will only escalate. The hurricanes that will be coming in the next year and the years to follow will make previous hurricanes seem like a gentle breeze.

So let us summarize the first idea we wish to convey. The impulse for increased consciousness is flowing from deep space, striking your Sun, and affecting the subtle energies of your earth. If humanity is able to rise to a level of spiritual mastery these affects will be decreased, transmuted, and become a source for further elevation.

If humanity is not able to attain this, then the physical act of purification must take place—simply because energy cannot be destroyed. We are not alarmists. This message is not intended to create distress, but rather to create awareness of the need for taking care of yourself and your loved ones in specific ways.

There are two areas of action we suggest. The first has to do with spiritual preparation and the second has to do with physical survival. From the standpoint of yourselves as souls, it is immaterial whether your present embodiment continues or not. Spiritual preparation means to prepare for the possibility of your death through a recommitment to your life—to living and choosing what is essential for ever-increasing experiences of appreciation and joy. It sounds odd, but following your deepest sense of joy will lead you to be in the places where you will most likely survive, should the Earth go into a period of purification.

Spiritual preparation also includes clearing away the obstructions between you and your own psychic knowing, and being willing to move in an instant's notice, and a willingness to move even if those around you insist on remaining where they are. Should the Earth go into its travail of purification, you must be prepared to follow your own inner knowing, for that is the only compass you will have, both literally and figuratively. In terms of physical survival, at the very least, you will need to obtain and store food and emergency supplies, including water and warm clothing, even if you live currently in a mild to tropical environment. Get to know your friends and neighbors, for it may require a level of cooperation you are not used to, in order to physically survive the purification. Even if outright catastrophe is averted, there will be a radical increase in aberrant weather and possible challenges to food production.

Finally we would say to begin a discipline of connecting with your spiritual aspect, in whatever ways you find most effective. You will want to strengthen these connections, for if the Earth enters into travail, there will be much chaos and many voices from those in distress and in confusion, and you will need to have access to your innermost self—to the small silent voice within—to tell you where to go and what to do, and sometimes that may mean going nowhere and doing nothing.

For those living within the US, know that you are being lied to, both politically and economically. It is not our focus to discuss these issues facing you. Anyone interested in such things can find the information. Let us just say that it is quite possible that the US economy will falter within the next year or two. Simple logic and common sense are your allies here. Preparing for a possible economic downturn means to become financially self-reliant. Should this occur, you will find that life gets much simpler. For one who has achieved a detachment from their monetary expectations, the devaluing of money will be a difficulty, to be sure, but not an emotional and spiritual catastrophe.

Build your house upon solid ground, not the shifting sands. And in this case, the shifting sands are your monetary system. The solid ground is your connection to your own God-Self, to the spiritual dimensions where you dwell, even as you live on Earth.

Finally we wish to say to you that as difficult as the challenges are, you are still the Masters of your destiny, although you slumber in forgetfulness. If you are to survive you must awaken. In our world we have a ritualistic object. It is made of the finest gold that has been culled from the ninth dimension. In this box there are three symbolic stones. We refer to this box as the Ark of Humanity, as a symbol for that which will carry you (humanity) into a new dimension.

The three stones represent the three within humanity. There are those who would rather kill and die than awaken to the truth of themselves as Creator Gods. They remain asleep, though dangerous, since they sleepwalk and appear to be like everyone else. These are the people of the first stone.
The second stone represents those who do not wish to be bothered; do not wish to change how they live life. They are not particularly violent, just numb.

The third stone represents those who are awakening and have awakened to themselves as Creator Gods, understanding that they are responsible for their aspect of Creation and who willingly accept the responsibility of living upward through joy and harmony in a world so full of conflict.

The Ark of Humanity holds all three stones, and if the Ark of Humanity is to carry the entire collective into the fifth dimension and beyond, it must carry all three stones. The task for collective transmutation rests upon the shoulders of those of the third stone. Even though you are late in the hour (so to speak), total catastrophe can be averted. Ironically it has more to do with how the third stone of humanity chooses to live their life. If you succumb to the emotions of fear and horror, the Ark of Humanity will not be carried into the fifth dimension and beyond, because the purification will destroy most life on Earth. If this occurs, you will simply find that you will return to the spiritual realm according to the level of your development and spiritual attainment.

So we speak not to the first or second stones, for they cannot hear us; although their eyes may see these words or their ears hear the words, they will not comprehend. This is for those of you of the third stone. You know who you are. For you will have been electrified by what you have just read.
We bow to you, the protectors and the guardians of the human spirit. We bow to you, sages and masters, for your spiritual courage to have incarnated upon this Earth at this time. Live more fully. Laugh more heartily. Forgive more completely. You are the Masters of your destiny. Be Happy.

The Seven Hathors can appear as either cows or as beautiful women.  The cows are usually seen in a funerary context, where they are accompanied by the sky-bull, the "Bull of the West." In Queen Nefertari's beautifully decorated tomb, they have the following names: Lady of the Universe, Sky-Storm, You from the Land of Silence, You from Khemmis, Red-Hair, Bright Red, and Your Name Flourishes Through Skill.  They also appear in the Mythological Papyrii, where their names are Lady of the House of Jubilation, Mistresses of the West, Mistresses of the East, and Ladies of the Sacred Land, as well as in The Book of the Dead, tomb paintings and temple reliefs.  Some of the depictions show them wearing a patterened "saddle-cloth," a sun-disk, a double curved plume, and a menit necklace.   Their function is to nourish and protect the deceased from harm.

In their human form, the Seven Hathors are present at the birth of a child, when they pronounce its fate.  They are also called upon for help in matters of love, as well as protection from evil spirits.  The power of the red hair-ribbons of the Seven Hathors is used to bind dangerous spirits and render them harmless.

Who The Hathors Are & Why They Have Come

According to Channelled Messages from the Hathors in Tom Kenyon and Virginia Essene's Hathor Material book, "We are the Hathors. We come in love and with the sounding of a new dream reality for your earth. If you are ready to build the new world, we invite you to join us on a journey of the mind and heart. We are your elder brothers and sisters. We have been with you for a very long period of your evolution on this planet. We were with you in eons past - even in the forgotten days before any trace of us is known in your present written history. Our own nature is energetic and interdimensional. We originally came from another universe by way of Sirius which is a portal to your Universe, and from Sirius we eventually proceeded to your solar system and the etheric realms of Venus.

In the past we have specifically worked with and through the Hathor fertility goddess of ancient Egypt. We also made contact with the Tibetan lamas in the formative period of Tibetan Buddhism. Thus, some of their unique techniques and practices about the use of sound come from our own lineage and our teachings with them. Although we have interacted with some of Earth's early cultures, we are an intergalactic civilization with outposts that span parts of your known Universe and beyond.

We are what you might term an ascended civilization - a group of beings existing at a specific vibratory field, even as you have an energy signature. It is simply that we vibrate at a faster rate than you. Nonetheless, we are all part of the mystery, part of the love that holds and binds all the universe together.

We have grown as you have grown, ascending to the One Source of all that is. We have grown in joy and through sorrow, as have you. We are, in terms of the vastness, a little higher on the spiral of awareness and consciousness than you are; therefore, we can offer you what we have learned as friends, mentors and fellow travelers on the path that leads back to remembrance of All That Is.

We are not saviors; we're not messianic. We wanted to clearly step out of that projection so that the reader understood that we were simply elder brothers and sisters offering our understanding and what we have learned. You may take it or leave it but we offer it freely. In our understanding, the belief that different alien intelligences are going to save you, and the belief that when you enter a photon belt you will magically be transformed, are just projection of human unconsciousness. The hope that someone or something will save you, that you will not have to make any changes in yourself, that you will not have to be responsible, is unrealistic.

The belief that you can stay in patterns of lethargy and unconsciousness, then take something or have something given to you that will transform you without any effort on your part, is sheer folly. It won't happen. Now, there may be alien intelligences that land, for they certainly exist, but those humans who count on others to bring in their ascension and elevation without any work on their part, are going to be very disappointed. Ascension is a process of self-awareness and mastery on all levels and it necessitates bringing all those levels of one's existence upward. That is how we see it and that is how we have done it for millennia.

By offering our aid, however, we do not wish to interfere with your other spiritual helpers and cosmic relationships in any way, nor with any religious beliefs, affiliations or organizations of help to you. Even so, there is a great deal we would like to share.

We know Sanat Kumara well for it was he who asked us to enter this Universe. As an Ascended Master, Sanat Kumara has taken on numerous responsibilities associated with the elevation of planet Earth and this solar system. Song of the Grail

 

The Grail has been called the Holiest of Holies. It is an Endless Promise, the promise that one day all spirit will be reunited. It is the Promise and the manifestation of the progression back to Light or the One.

This promise predates Christianity in its many forms, predates Atlantis, Lemuria, and the creation of the earth. It predates the Solar System. It is the promise that came at the time of the splitting of the cosmic egg of light from dark. The Grail is the Container of Intelligent Infinity. There is nothing which it is not. It holds the truth for all ages and holds your roadmap back home.

It doesn't matter what beliefs you hold or what religious background you come from, the Grail holds you inside its heart and offers all to those who seek the, truth, their truth. It makes no demands and refuses no one.

In the Arthurian legends of the middle ages, Parcival, a young and innocent knight comes upon the Grail Castle. He sits with the Grail King, wants to know the answer to the question, "Whom does the Grail Serve?", but out of polite convention fails to ask the question. When he awakens in the morning the Castle is gone, and he is forced to continue the rest of his life trying to find the castle again to ask his question.

The answer to the question, "Whom does the Grail Serve," is:  "Those who ask of it", or "Those willing to sit in its presence and feel the infinite intelligent energies that emanate from it," or "Those who wish to be transformed by it."

   Many have spent their lives in search of the Holy Grail, thinking if they found the cup that was used at Christ's last supper, that they would be transformed, or hold sway the powers of earth. But the Grail is not a physical cup. It is more real that that. It is available to any who wish to sit in its presence.  In this time the veils between the levels of existence are thinning like the placenta of an unborn child close to birth. We now living on earth, can more easily access what many spiritualists, initiates of the mystery schools, and religions have called the Divine. Because of this, the Grail is now easily accessible to those asking of its service.

The below is a meditation I was guided to write for a group. But if you would like to use the meditation by yourself, just read through it, and then call in your guides or your favorite Archangel, and ask them to take you to the Grail. Go with pure intention of connecting with the divine. Don't worry if you think you won't remember what to do next, as your meditation will no doubt take on a life and direction of its own.

I think you will enjoy a good laugh afterward, thinking of all those folks marching around the world with their shovels looking for a cup.

Meditation:

Induction. Archangel Michael overlighting. Those with personal crystals get into them. Light column pours down over everyone. Lift off to Round Table with Michael leading.

See before you a round table with a brilliant cup floating over it as if a magnificent Chandelier. Notice there are beings already sitting at the table and that there are empty chairs between them.

You are being invited to take a seat at this table. Take the seat that you feel most drawn to and gaze up at the Golden cup hovering over the middle of the table. See that it is overflowing with liquid light spilling down onto the table all seated at the table. Feel the light shining, pouring into your bodies, washing, clearing and changing you. Feel the light as you gaze at the cup pour forth into your crown chakra, into your head, with constant flow, filling your entire body as though it too were a cup. The liquid light fills your entire being until you, too, as if a mirror of the cup, overflow.

 Feel the liquid light bubble out of your head and spill down your body over your face, your chest and your back like a fresh clean mountain stream. Feel all that is not in harmony with this light wash away from you, down and away, and feel those places filling now with perfect flowing light.

There is a deep humming vibration coming from the golden cup. Feel it vibrate through your body.

Take a moment to feel the presence of those seated next to you and around you, and see that they too are like cups overflowing and glowing with liquid light, each mirroring the cup hovering over the table, each being filled with light to overflow.

The table is now like a magnificent flowing candelabra of cups, each being connected to the center like spokes of a wheel.

From you forehead and crown, focus on the Grail as it pours forth into your overflowing, and see that it begins to spin, sharing the energies of all at the table. It spins slowly at first, and begins to accelerate. As it spins faster and faster, see the cup begins to drop onto the table which is now golden light. Feel the light shining into your heart and expanding. It is harmonizing the beauty of each being at the table until all are as one.

Feel the Love that each being is, as the Grail unifies and harmonizes all of the energies present.

The Cup spins faster and faster. The entire scene is now fusing into a ball of light. All at the table are as one. Feel this.

Now focus into the center of the table, the center of the light.  There is something for you there, it is a gift for you. It is given freely. Take it, hold it, and know it is yours.

The Grail now begins to slow its spin. You again sense the spirit presence of those around you--all those flowing cups. Look around the table. See who is there.

Turn your head and look upon the one sitting to your left and see that they smile and greet you, happy to have had this experience with you, and feel how comfortable and at ease you are in their presence. Ask them a question if you wish, or perhaps they have something to tell you. When it is time, turn to you right, greet that being too.

It is time to go, so say your good-byes, and know that you may return here any time that you wish.

Singing in your Future, Singing the body of God!!!

 

We Hathors watch you from "up above". We are advisors and helpers in this creation. There are so many energies at work in this creation! This is so obvious that it often goes unnoticed by humans. Water flows, fire heats, the wind blows through your hair. These are actions that you generally take for granted. Did you know Fire is intelligence or that messages are carried on and in the breezes? A branch bending in the wind, its leaves rustling, carries messages to the tree, the leaves rustle messages to you. This is just one example of the blending of energies that goes on around you. Each molecule of air is alive with intelligence. Your bodies are alive and so is each cell within it vibrating a song that you seldom hear. Your ability to hear, see and feel many of these intelligences is apparent to us in ways we seldom see used.

You know you have a place in nature, do you know and recognize that? A wind blows in and out of you all on its own and it is Spirit. What intelligence breathes for you? What intelligence beats out the song of your heart? Your digestion appears to work all on its own, and we tell you this is not really a mechanical process. We know most of you see it as mechanical, yet you must remember that this is only a way of interpreting; a way of seeing or attempting to understand what is taking place within you. When you really think of it, your body pretty much seems to run itself without "your" participation.

Now when you get together with Friends or Family, often pictures will be taken. Later you may point to a picture and say, "There I am!" So apparently on some level most people have decided that their bodies are part of themselves. It is interesting for us to us to see you claim this body as part of yourself, when so much of it runs itself, seemingly independent of much conscious effort on your part. We will call this a leap of faith. Perhaps you felt you had little faith, yet most of you have enough faith in yourselves to allow the body to work on its own without panicking or wondering if the next heart beat will come along or not! So, you see, you have a lot of faith!!!

There are processes, flows of energy all around you that also go right along on their own. Why do you not see those processes as part of yourself: the wind in the trees, the leaves shaking and whispering, the branches creaking? We encourage you to begin to think about where you have put your conceptual boundaries, the "where do I begin; where do I end. You obviously have the ability to identify "things" that you do not consciously control with your concept of "me", such as your liver, your intestines and the nails that grow on your toes. In a sense your body is more like a garden with you the gardener. You put food in the mouth and more or less consciously chew it up, and let the intelligence of the body do the rest of the work. And it must really be admitted that the body is so sophisticated in its various intelligences that humankind has difficulty understanding its processes very well.

It is very wise to accept the body as part of yourself, yourself in a flow, a flow which is really a flow of light. You stand supported by many many intelligences and all of these work together in amazing harmony. How is this so? Isn't it amazing!!! Do you ever think of just how amazing this is? When we say harmony, we mean Song!!! You are a Song of

Light. This is how we Hathors see you and hear you! We love to look upon you and the Songs that you are. Your Song vibrates out sound and light which is received by your surroundings. The trees feel your presence. They have a life process that goes on whether you are conscious of it or not. But did you know that your Song harmonizes with the trees' Songs? You identify yourself with your body so that you may care for it. You serve it well so that it may serve you well. You know it is you, though you really don't understand it all and how it works. But you know if it is your intension to work with your body toward health and well being that perhaps you may be in Harmony with it.

The fact is that you claim the Body's natural processes as your own, and by doing so you tacitly agree to be the gardener, watering, pruning, sowing and generally caring for its welfare. Have you ever thought of having this type of relationship with the natural world around you? We suggest the natural world first, for we feel most of you will more easily feel this cooperative symphony there. Did you know the natural world is waiting for you to Sing with it? There was a time when all Humans did this. They knew that their bodies extended to the bodies around them. Yes, of course, there was their human body they had first responsibility toward, yet this did not keep them from seeing the bodies of water and air and fire to directly related to their own body and feeling and knowing how interconnected they were with their environment.

Our suggestion is that you Sing to what you call Nature. Just take a look and Sing!!! Try to make the sounds that nature makes. Can you hear the Song of the Tree? Can you interpret that through your human voice? The tree will know you are doing this and will feel you singing its song and will be most honored. The more you do this, the more you will feel the tree and what the tree is—for we assure you that the tree is far more than you think it is. This is your conciousness merging with the conciousness of the tree. You can do this with plants and animals and rocks and the sky and the stars. This will open your mind and open your heart. The trees and rocks and stars and sky will sing back to you!!! Isn't that exciting!!! This is real, not some made up fantasy.

Singing in this way will harmonize you with your universe, and perhaps you will begin to feel your body expand, your mind expand. You will learn secrets that have long been lost to you. This is a Key, and we freely give it to you, for if you'd only notice, you would see it is already yours.

What does this have to do with manifestation and wealth? Well, when you harmonize with the natural world you will feel and come to know many of the forces that already support you. The greatest White Wizards are greatest because they harmonize with the universe and the natural world. They could perform great deeds because there was agreement and harmonization with all of nature and so with the Great Light Energies behind physical manifestation.

We know many of you will want to know—will this put dollars in my wallet. Yes. When you harmonize with the universe you will begin to understand its secrets. Can you hear the harmonies? By harmonizing with the body of the world you are tuning yourself. You are making a place to be in the world. You are announcing your presence and willingness to cooperate. God's plan can be approached in many ways. When you sing harmonies with nature, nature responds with gladness. You ideas of wealth may change as you sing to the rivers, rocks, birds and sea. There are many kinds of wealth, and certainly a pile of money is one kind. Your singing to your environment increases your reach—you have influence over a wider range of consciousness than you had before. As your consciousness expands, the interests you have, the values you hold, will naturally change. We want you to feel at home in your world. Your Songs are all so important. You are so much more powerful than you think. Reconnecting human consciousness to the body of the world around you will change the world. Songs can move mountains, cause wells to spring forth, rain to fall, love to prevail.

It has often been said that it is not the destination, but the getting there that is the real story, the real truth. If you want a pile of money, that is fine. And too, it is fine to go and sing to a tree asking it to grow dollar bills. Yet we would suggest singing its song, harmonizing. Harmonizing is the seeking and enjoyment of agreement. Harmonize with the world around you and you will begin to see within its inner working. You will sing to your body, for that is what you are doing when you sing to a tree. The world can heal itself in Song, in harmony, and so you can heal your body—the worlds' and your own. This is singing the Body of God.

Singing the Body of God will spark new interests and adventures in your life as you find harmony and your voice within it. There is your path to follow, for it will lead you to new understandings and a world will appear that you never knew existed. This can be so exciting that one day when a pile of money is on your table, you will say, "oh, that's nice", and rush off to continue your wonderful adventure.

 In the Beginning

 

In a night without stars, into a sea of pure energy, of pure dreamtime, swam four initiates in the form of dragon, of the crocodile. Here no form was apparent, yet a sound of no sound hummed a knowingness. This was the womb of life from which Gaia would be born. The Dragons entered this space as a human enters a temple held divine. Long they had trained for this work, to sing a song of the Infinite One's intent without reference to self, to Channel the Vibrations of Light. With great purpose and love and courage they swam into the void, where no space was space that went on forever. Had only one dragon come here he would forever have been lost, one in relation to nothingness. Two could form a line which to stand on, yet the line would have forever expanded and thrown them apart infinitely. Three would have formed a triangle, a plane forever locked together, movement with no "where" to go. The forth formed a cross, implied a circle, hence a sphere, a center.

They entered the void in silence and with care, as if gardeners stepping through a delicate bed of flowers. Their form was very nearly invisible, their likeness can be seen in the visionary pointillist art of the Australian aborigines. The Crocodiles entered to sing the seed of God, the song of Source. They were emissaries of the light, expressing the Light as they knew it, as they felt its expression to be. The Crocodile Priests knew that one misstep could miss-shape this creation. Like a potter at the wheel they held as pure a focus as they could muster and began to sing. The sound was like that of the growling Tibetan Monks, like the harmonic resonance of the Diggerydoo.

They sang the song of Gaia's creation, a deep loving series of tones. They sang of earth and water and fire and air. They sang the east the west the south and the north. They sang to the best of their abilities the love of the Divine One for all her creations. They sang the song of the Infinite One inseminating itself. The Crocodiles sang and the vibrations of their tones drew the infinite unmanifest into form, into a fiery ball that would become Gaia, the Earth.

They sang the song of the Red earth, the Orange earth, the Yellow earth and the Green. Each in itself a body, each in itself an age to come. They sang of the manifest and unmanifest. They sang the stories they had received of the birthing of a great and beautiful planet who would host the life expressions of the Infinite One. All they sang they felt was true, yet the song was also a great mystery to them, for the One was Infinite in its expression. All of our galaxy was born of this song, every planet and every star.

We are the children of the Four: I, you, we, us; point, line, triangle, sphere; north, south, east, west; Father, Mother Mary, Son, Holy Spirit; air, earth, water, fire. When the four is reached, this wholeness, this center refers back to itself, back to the three preceding numbers. The four as wholeness refers back to the first three, the triangle for movement, which refers back to two, the line, for direction, which asks the one, you, the mind boggling question inside of infinity, "Where is it you wish to go?"

Our wholeness and completion is in four, our actions in three, our direction in two and our independence, one. The four refers its relationship back to the three preceding numbers. The four and these preceding numbers gives us the mystery of the seven held in the wholeness.

The planet Earth Gaia has been in her Yellow Body for a very long time now and she moves toward Green. Mankind's expression has long been in the third chakra, the will of self, seen in separation from his fellows. Christ Consciousness is our Solar Deity, our Solar Plexus urging us on. He is the Lion whose question to us has been, "what will you will yourselves, your world to be?" As he asks that question he points to our hearts and asks, "Will you not go there, where I have gone?" For Christ Consciousness came down from the Green of the Heart through the Sun to show us the way. He is the Solar Deity because he knows the way through the will, the sun, to the heart of Love, to completion.

Four initiates in the form of the Dragon swam through the void to sing our world into creation. Christ Consciousness was the forth.

In the beginning was the Word, and it was sung through by four Dragon Priests, channeling the Breath of God.

A New Court of Queens

Notes from a meditation on Sept. 14, 03

I was lead to face our planets, for I have been lead to understand that our whole Solar system is changing on the Spiritual level, as are we upon this Good Earth.

Of course there has been much said, written and experienced in recent years, giving much indication about personal and planetary change. The Hathors were much excited one day last November, so much so, that they "interrupted" me in my daily routine by their cheerful celebration. I could hear this going on and so meditated to hear what it was that was causing such a ruckus.

"The Light of Great Change" could be seen on their Consciousness Horizon, and they were quite excited upon seeing it, this beautiful wave approaching. When I asked of its significance, they merely indicated a wholesome enthusiasm. I'm sure they could read much more into this unfolding event than that, yet their excitement over its eminence seemed to be filling them with wonder. This they call the "Honoring of the Mystery", which I have felt the Hathors encourage me toward so often!!! (They just insisted I put their hallmark three exclamation marks there.) This response of Honoring the Mystery feels to me somewhat similar to some understandings that to analyze the experience before experiencing the experience is to somewhat rob it of its deeper significance.

"There is an unfolding occurring in your time. We are experiencing it with great delight, similar to your excitement in opening a Christmas Present," the Hathors now tell me. "We experience the great Mysteries as great Mysteries, as do you. Just because you are an embodied human does not mean that you are the only beings to experience the Great Mysteries. We merely experience them from another level of existence. We see/feel/hear in an alternate or different ways than do you. You may even say that we feel the Mysteries of the One even more profoundly. Humans, we feel, sometimes regard those of us who exist on other levels as "those who know all" or "know-it-alls" and this is simply not so!!!"

The Hathors then lead me to Mars, and they said that Mars was "ascending" much more quickly than anyone had expected. I felt they were implying that the Mars energy was shifting to a higher degree of consciousness. I wondered at the time how this might play out in terms of war on earth, yet I received no other information on the subject. I can say however that as I looked upon Mars inwardly, I could feel a "lightening" of its energies and a greater resistance toward action. Mars seemed to be lessening its impulsiveness. It actually felt as though it was holding its breath.

In the intervening months I though about this Mars business off and on, and I came to realize that the most interesting aspect of the information was this notion of planets, "ascending" or "evolving", changing their energies. The one other clue I received in regards to this was in my Alchemical Work on the Inner Planes. The Hathors indicated to me that though the similarities to the Inner Work of Yore had great significance as an Inner Map, the goal of the Working had shifted somewhat. They did not embellish upon this, and I knew it was for me to work toward whatever it was they meant. My belief about this has to do with the relationship between Individual Work and its relationship to the whole. In the case of an embodied human, I believe this to mean that the work of the individual at this time has a much greater influence upon our physical reality, and a far greater connection. The work of the Kabbalist, Lightworker, or whatever name one wishes to ascribe, has to do with the implanting of Divine Energies into the earth. It is no longer a matter of going from "here to there", but rather a matter of "bringing the there to here".

 

We are talking about Heaven on Earth.

We are on the Edge of the Sword, a point of choice, of decision. Ascending is no longer necessarily about leaving this earth, but about ascending inwardly, into the earth plane. How you wish to interpret this notion I leave to you. I feel the truth of it, yet of its means, well I suggest first to "Feel the Mystery".

So now after a somewhat lengthy introduction, I come to my meditation last night, September 14, 2003, traveling with the guides to visit the planets. My guides took me to one planet after another. They instructed me to simply "read" the energies coming from the planet as I might read a person when they come for a Hathor Reading and Healing. The following material comes from my interpretation of the energies of our planets. I felt my guides place me before each planets energies, and it was quite amazing to receive physically palpable feelings from each one. My guides did not comment; they wanted me to do this work. Indeed I did these reading verily as I would a person, and I felt personality in each. The following information has a bit of an anthropomorphic tinge to it. I felt this a helpful tool, and it caused me to ponder the Ancients' stories of active personalities or gods in the energies of the celestial orbs.

Neptune

The first planet I read was Neptune. Neptune was as if a man holding many secret documents he was loath to reveal. I felt if I was to travel into the planets energies it would be as if swimming through myriad currents. I saw Neptune as if a man with many swirling cloaks, always trying to turn his back to those who approach. I felt it would be difficult to reach any particular point on or within him; rather one would wash willy-nilly about. It is as if Neptune is a water labyrinth. Neptune indeed does hold many mysteries and guards them jealously. Yet this guarding I felt to be at the behest of the King. It is as though Neptune seldom acts independently of a higher authority, and so is not often open to the approach of those without authority.

I felt that this role would be changing, yet Neptune is awaiting the reformation. By that I mean the reformation of a new ruling order. It is as if the old ruling powers were leaving, or reorganizing themselves into a new set of relationships. As these are just beginning to shift, Neptune holds his cards close to his chest. Perhaps even more closely than ever! It was as if the Kings Court had all left, and the librarian was barricading the doors and praying for the safety of the information he held, that it would be transferred safely to a new authority.

Neptune, on the other hand, is tired of this old hiding of information. He has been cloaked in his swirling waters for longer than he cares to. Hiding things has isolated him from the externals, the powers around him. There is a desire to be in the place of a true librarian with an opening of information. There would be a great liberation for him in this, a release from his isolation. The guarded jealousy has been necessary for the safety of evolution, yet it has given an edge to his personality he wishes to be rid of, for it now feels like a bad habit.

Neptune waits patiently as possible for an easing in the severity of his duties. I don't believe that this "entity" will remain in this post long after the completed shift.

Saturn

 

Saturn's energy felt metallic, as if a very of metal with very little flexibility—old, ridgid. The onrush of light energies into Saturn is breaking her into constituent parts. I do not know why I am encouraged to refer to "her" as Saturn. Perhaps some of you with some astrological knowledge of yore may have comment on this. Perhaps it is Saturn's' maternal aspect that is birthing this change. I feel this to be the case upon writing this last sentence. The image I received was that of a Dandilion being blown in the wind. That each constituent part of Saturn would be blown to the other planets, for each part was in actuality a part or aspect of other planetary beings. Perhaps the story of Saturn eating his/her children is at play here. Anyway Saturn will exist no more in the configuration we have known her/him. Saturn ceases to exist, for it was a composite of lessons, archetypes "donated" from each planet to form some sort of lesson plan. This form of lessons is to be changed, the old format torn up. The wind is beginning to blow the "lesson pieces" to their respective planets. Saturn is beginning to molt, and when the molting is done, Saturn will be gone.

I remind you that this is a spiritual level reading. As for the physical bodies and their future I leave it to your imagination, and Mine! Honor the Mysteries; observe the Mysteries!!!

Chunks of old inflexible metal, blown as if dandelion fluff--this image speaks volumes, don't you think? Makes me feel downright cheerful! May all your coming lessons be more kindly!

Of course there is the fact that huge chunks of "metal" remain on Saturn, with gulfs between them, as if continents shifting and dividing. How these disintegrate as we integrate seems to me to be inextricably linked. How Saturn goes, so does our near future! The oil of Love works on old rust. Our old lessons and patterns of behavior are all stored there. Saturn has done a most difficult job. It has held all our severities for us, so that we might draw them back in and re-work them. This has been a rather thankless job, and I sense that the entities that make up Saturn are beginning to feel they will soon be able to draw a fresh breath of air and feel some relief from an exertion that has been the holding of energies that are not all so pretty.

Pluto

"Only that with the greatest strength can contain the Beast." These are the words that come to me as I write now. These are the words of Melchezedek. "Pluto is the Shadow of a Star, a Star of great strength and beauty that serves this system from afar. Only light of great strength can contain darkness so dark. Pluto shall be the darkness within a great fist of light crushing into a perfect balance. Pluto is God's grace given."

Pluto is the Abyss, that much feared place of Falling, the crossing to God. There are mysteries here in spades. There is also great laughter about the nature of the abyss. "The Abyss is everything and Nothing", say the Hathors. There is a sense I get about humankind's misunderstandings of the Abyss, and how this misunderstanding is the source of much good humor on other levels. I do not mean that there is not great seriousness here as well. My guides indicate the greatest mysteries bring forth the greatest of emotions.

As I sit before Pluto I feel neutrality, neither warm nor cold, as though either of those words do not apply. Pluto is to retreat into the distance, to the very edge of of spiritual living mind space. It is a vacuum that will pull darkness into it. This vacuum is increasing in strength and draws "all that is not" toward it. I can feel fear involved here, yet the fear is coming from those who "are not". I once asked my guides how they would define black magic, and they said it is the "Magic of Nothing, No Thing". Perhaps from this type of notion the concept of there being no Evil arises. Perhaps it is the greatest lie, and a lie that happens also to be true. I leave that great Mystery to you. I think that both may be seen as true dependant upon levels of understanding and enlightenment.

Regardless, Pluto is to increase in strength as the Lovelight increases. As the washing effects of the Light proceeds, so must the Strength of that which is not. The opposites stand in sharper contrast. There has to be a place of holding of these non-energies to balance the system, and Pluto will "hold these energies as the darkness formed by the Fist of God". The in-crushing power of that fist is quite palpable, and I get the image of a sculptor with clay in hand, molding something new. Great Light encompassing great darkness is the feeling that comes across. One the edges of Pluto I can feel a great Love, that of a Sun behind the Sun. Even that which is to go into Pluto is somehow cared for and will be re-worked. I am left with the words, "Time becomes irrelevant." Through Pluto's actions our current sense of time will disappear.

Uranus

 

I sit before Uranus. I feel and see a bolting impetuous child. This child is curious about everything and everyone. If the planets are seen as a monarchy, then Uranus is the Queen and King's child, and a rather rabble rousing one at that. Uranus questions everything, "Why should it be so," he asks of every tradition. Uranus brings revolution and it is right now that he has the entire courts attention. Uranus is as a Christ or Buddha or Krishna born into his right time. He has the spirit of the "New Age". He is the Prince now, one day to be King. He has the spirit of youth, eternal youth and it is that which he intends to imbue this court. He is Fresh Air!!! He is the dawning of a new day. He reinvigorates his new court with Spring time. He brings new energy to the aging, and as much as the court reels before his impetuosity, they are finding they cannot live without him. All members of the court now find Uranus as a Fountain of Youth. That he will one day be King is no longer in question, and all are finding that restraining his enthusiasm is nearly impossible. He is endlessly grinning from ear to ear. He is the ripeness of youth. His sudden breakings of tradition are at first shocking to the old court, yet soon laughter erupts and all become more youthful, except of course Saturn, who is flying apart and giving his rings away. Uranus heralds the "Savior".

Mercury

 

"I am robbing Neptune of his burdens and placing them in just the right spots." This is Merlin as spokesperson for Mercury. "I rebound and redound and reverberate in your ears. I tell you it is coming, so wake up, wake up! I am the redeemer and I redeem myself in order to redeem you. I am no longer so hidden. You can hear me more clearly now for I speak the instructions of on-high. I have never tricked you, you have tricked yourselves, but you cannot really do that very effectively anymore. I am piercing veils here and there and I see your eye looking through. Go ahead and look! You are invited. I am your humble servant as ever. Do you see me peaking back at you? The impetuous child has put his scissors to the curtains. This is an allowance for me and for you! The impetuous one has come with great energy. What seems unbalancing about him brings great balance, and though he looks so young, too is he very old. He frightens the court with his wisdom; for at first the Wisdom looks to be the foolishness of youth. He has everyone in disarray, yet I understand him. I see the wisdom in his face. Old Jupiter is much amused and quietly listens to all. Why does he seem to do nothing these days but smile in the presence of this youth? I see him relax in his throne. He breaths out loudly and seems to retreat a bit into the distance. His hands are soft on the reins now, and I see the Child sit next to him as if Father and Son, and at times they seem to meld as if one.

"I, Mercury, am all at where at once, and I sense my being-ness change as the speed of delivery increases. There is a sense of becoming a larger body as all sing their messages through me. I think at times I will disappear into you and you and you! There is a knowingness that is growing. I know all of you. I am the body of mind. There is a great sense of Oneness arising out of this instantaneous communication. Pluto receives the little pieces cut out of the Fabric of Veil by the Impetuous One and a shaking occurs. Can you feel it in your body? These little earthquakes of Soul/Spirit/Mind as the horizon grows? Who is who, you might want to ask. There are so many understandings being given, known all at once. So who will I be? I will be you. Who is the messenger? No more phone lines, no more UPS delivery trucks, only you, me and the Stars. See you where."

Obviously Mercury has not lost its sense of humor!

 

Earth, Moon, Venus

These three were presented to me as One. Together they are to rule as Queen. They are Triune. Their consciousness is to be as One. As I began to write this I was asked to point out that as planets the Moon and Venus and Earth share proximity, and are all identified with the Feminine. It is to be the Feminine that rules the earth. I do not mean women will rule men. By rulership I mean the overlaying and underlying feel of the energies-- feminine, as in kind, receptive, accepting, loving, gentle and In-Love. I speak of the atmosphere of the Present, how the Present will feel as our emotional weather report.

I felt the joining of these energies as a sisterhood; three sisters hold hands, all in white, wreaths of flowers in their hair. They are Wisdom as Venus, Love as the Moon and nurturing as the Earth. The are however to be very palpably joined as One.

I see Uranus, the Impetuous One, at play in the Garden of Earth. The parameters are set by The Three. Ever repeating newness is infused through Uranus in concert with The Three.

 

Conclusion

 

Thus was my meditation, with additional information given during the writing. I have very little background in myth or astrology except that which I garner wondering about meditations such as these. What can I add?

The effect this information is having on me is still playing itself out. The Hathors suggest I look further into this subject, inferring there is much more. I feel the information is correct. The impression is that of a Court of Archetypes in flux. Yet the energies of these Archetypes also feel as one real personality made up of constituent entities, almost as though they are dance companies beginning to hear a new tune. What will Neptune do? Who are the energies behind the energies that have held Saturn in place for so long? What will they be up to? I had the impression of many decisions being made on many levels. I felt aspects of the old paradigm still reticent to change and other aspects quite ready for it. The Gestalt of our Solar System is changing, and, "how it will be" is being decided on many levels. All is in flux, yet there is a surety I felt from Jupiter that all will be well and he knows the plans are well set. Will Jupiter and Uranus be as One?

How about the constellations, those powers behind the powers? So many questions, huh? As the Hathors say, "Honor the Mysteries".
