Ahhh - finally unpacked from doing Hempfest last weekend....
though I have worked it for 12 years before for other vendors - this was my first year doing my own booth. I didn't do as well as I hoped - but all my other vendor friends said the first year it the hardest. I DID manage to make my space cost back & enough to cover my rent for the month - plus I traded for some beautiful artwork (bonus).
Besides my own work (jewelry, spiders & magnets), I sold items from a few people whose work I greatly admire - Handpainted silk scarves from the lovely Diane, FANTASTIC metal work from those crazy metal guys in Suquamish, T-shirts, prints and cards from the Fabulous Marie Case Creations up in Alaska and some creepy crawly fused glass centipedes and bracelets from my friend Joan...
I also had lots of promo cards & such to hand out from my fellow Esty Dark Team members and Etsy Steam Team members.
I was determined to have no theives - but a couple of items went missing.
Perhaps I shouldn't have eaten those rice crispy cakes and cookies (yes, that kind) so early in the day.
All and all - it was wonderful & I can't wait until next year - am going to try and be in the same spot (next to the wonderful glass guys) almost in the middle of the park. Myrtle Edwards park is SOOOOO long...it's a hike no matter what. If you've never been there...google it (Mytrle Edwards Park, Seattle, WA)
Anyway - here's a few pics of my booth before all the crowds (over 80,000) swarmed the place

and last, the view from inside my booth....how perfect is that
