Over the past week, Madspace has been flooded with messages from our American friends who've bought tickets for the Coachella Festival after seeing us appear and then promptly disappear from the official line-up!
Unfortunately, this show was never confirmed, but we can assure you that we intend to come to the U.S. in the near future.
Please see official statement below and below that, the chance to win a prize!

Statement:
Last year initial discussions took place with a number of festivals, including Coachella regarding a Madness appearance in 2008.
Many of these discussions, including Coachella didn't progress to a confirmed booking.
Apparently Madness have appeared briefly on some of the official line-ups for the festival, this was an error that was swiftly rectified. Madness are not booked to play at this point in time, however, plans and discussions are underway for a series of Stateside shows in 2009.

After all that serious business, here a final chance to win a signed 'NW5' Set (CD,DVD,7inch)... all you have to do is Click Here to enter.

It's not to late to play Coachella 2008!

Goldvoice have addition to the Coachella line up every year. Sometime acts don't even appear on the poster, and are just added when set times comes out. It is not to late to renegotiate and play Coachella 2008! Myself and a TON of other were looking forward to you guys at Coachella!
If you go to the officialy Coachella forum, www.coachella.com/forum, there are a TON of thread about you playing Coachella this year. Truly, you were one of the most anticipated band playing on the line up this year.
Just try. I am sure you and Goldenvoice could reach a reasonable deal. You MUST be there this year.

in a way in glad, coachella is a huge venue, i wouldnt want to see madness on t.v. and where they look like ants, i would love to see madness in a small/medium size venue so i could see them up close and still be able to dance!!
i've been @ COACHELLA before and it took me 5 hrs to get up to the front of the stage for Depeche Mode and i had a blast but i couldnt dance and it was crowded, i couldnt move, sometimes not Even breathe... so i dont blame Madness... BUT PLEASE PLAY LOS ANGELES SOON!!! xoxoxoxoxoxox

Sorry to hear you will not be at Coachella. I know seeing you on the bill got a lot of locals in So. Cal. excited. Hope to see you play out this way in 09. I will be there for sure.

I'm glad I didn't but tickets! Coachella is somehing I avoid like the plague! But when I heard Madness I was about to sell my soul and give in! I saw the u.s tour in 99 an it was awesome! We NEED another show here in los angeles! Love you guys!
