Well the McFly tour so far has been absolutely amazing. The reaction from the audience has just been unbelievable - it's amazing when the lights go down and everyone screams and then we come on and they start screaming even louder!
The first night we were really nervous, but we just got such a buzz when we came off. A lot of the audience knew Last Goodbye, so that was great to see them singing along. We watched McFly perform for the first time last night in Belfast – normally we have to go straight off after the show, but we were able to stick around that time, and they thanked us on-stage and we got a massive scream!
When we arrived in Newcastle there were loads of people waiting for us outside with banners, which was really cool, and we've also met quite a few of the fans. A special hello to Jen, one of the moderators on our forum, who we got to chat to last night. We were staying at Scott's uncle's friend of a friend, something like that – Scott had never actually met him before! I was on a bunk bed at the top, and the others kept scaring me by switching the lights off, tickling me, that kind of thing. I'm a bit of a wimp really. We had a very good breakfast there this morning though.
We've got Dublin tonight, which we're really looking forward to. Max's brother is coming up to watch us, and I think we'll be going for a pint of Guinness afterwards. Before we perform we have a little huddle by the side of the stage and say good luck. There's also table tennis backstage so we play a lot of that. I think Andy's currently the best, followed by Max, Jonny, me and then Scott's last. We spoke to Danny from McFly last night who said he wants to go out for a drink with us, so that will be good. We've also chatted to Reemer, the other support band, and they're really sound.
I'd like to say a big thanks to all the fans who've got tickets for the shows and who have waited outside for us, we really appreciate them being there.
Look forward to seeing more of you soon
