Who Gives Kudos:

Saturday, September 09, 2006
the lead headline in most of the nations newspapers today is that the senate released detailed information stating that iraq had no involvement with al-qaeda, that saddam hussein actually rebuffed overtures from bin laden and al-qaeda, and that the administration lied when it said that iraq had been involved in 9-11 and al-qaeda.
this is big news, and very bad for the administration.
it's big news, so it's the lead story in most of the nations newspapers and web-sites.
on the fox news website, of course, it's nowhere to be found.
it's not even that fox news have reported this and downplayed it, they've just chosen not to report it at all.
ironic that this mouthpiece of america routinely uses stalinist techniques to suppress news that it doesn't like.
you'd think that if the right-wing in america really were confident in their agenda and message that they'd be less inclined to lying(this asinine abc 9-11 falsehood docudrama)and news suppression(fox news ignoring news that they deem inconvenient).

right-wing america consists of more than just Fox News and related companies...Many of which I am sure are spreading the information that you write about today.

Maybe it has more to do with Fox News itself, rather than right-wing America.

Here ya go, the story:

WASHINGTON -
Saddam Hussein regarded al-Qaida as a threat rather than a possible ally, a Senate report says, contradicting assertions President Bush has used to build support for the war in Iraq.

Released Friday, the report discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that before the war, Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

Saddam told U.S. officials after his capture that he had not cooperated with Osama bin Laden even though he acknowledged that officials in his government had met with the al-Qaida leader, according to FBI summaries cited in the Senate report.

"Saddam only expressed negative sentiments about bin Laden," Tariq Aziz, the Iraqi leader's top aide, told the FBI.

The report also faults intelligence gathering in the lead-up to the 2003 invasion.

YET BU$H IS *STILL* LYING ABOUT THIS:

As recently as an Aug. 21 news conference, Bush said people should "imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein" with the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction and "who had relations with Zarqawi."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060908/ap_on_go_co/iraq_report

There were NO WMD found and obviously - based on the facts found - Saddam had NO "relations with Zarqawi".  He LIED. And he's STILL lying!

UNbelievable. Well. Not really...

Wow, that is pretty scary when you put it like that.

No media source is perfect, but that's going too far.

Their silence speaks volumes.  I honestly find out more of the truth from non-American news sources anyhow - and also from you.  It's like you go and do the reading and research and then report back to us and keep us aware of stuff we might have missed.

That's why I read your blogs, Moby.  I haven't thought much of the famous people I've met or worked with (they're usually pretty fucked up inside) and I've never been a very good fan girl (though I do love your music and can't get "Lift Me Up" out of my head lately, LOL!) but I do like and respect the way you think.  You're real.

Thanks for taking the time to say stuff.  :-)  I know part of it has to be a vent, but I think you really are trying to do some amazingly good things and that takes effort.  It's noted.

FROM MEXICO:

George Orwell wrote 1984 in 1948

After WWII there was a need for another dangerous enemy, so the Cold War was invented. Unity and regimen against a common foe would keep the promise of increased spending on military and space programs.

In "1984," the state remained perpetually at war against a vague and ever- changing enemy. The war took place largely in the abstract, but it served as a convenient vehicle to fuel unity, nurture fear and justify the regime's autocratic practices.

The Ministry of Truth:  ( FOX NEWS,....DISNEY,....etc. )

Serving as the propaganda arm of the ruling party in "1984," the Ministry of Truth not only spread lies to suit its strategic goals, but constantly rewrote and falsified history. It is a practice that has become increasingly commonplace in the Bush White House, where presidential transcripts are routinely sanitized to remove the president's gaffes, accounts of intelligence warnings prior to Sept. 11 get spottier with each retelling, and the facts surrounding Bush's past financial dealings are subject to continual revision.

Big Brother is Watching: ( HOMELAND SECURITY )

The ever-watchful eye of Big Brother kept constant tabs on the citizens of Orwell's totalitarian state, using two-way telescreens to monitor people's every move while simultaneously broadcasting party propaganda. Though perhaps the technology is not the same, Internet watch, computer back-door access to the justice dept., phone surveillance, etc.. sound familiar?

Don´t be surprised....be informed!

I like your music, but fox news is fair because if it was a stalinist state, it would not have liberals like Alan Colmes.

Hmmm...I'm afraid I wil have to respectfully disagree with you, good sir.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,212897,00.html

That's the story. Now granted, I had to type in Saddam Hussein as a keyword to bring it up, but the story is on the Fox News site. Now I have to go shower from actually visiting the FOX site, but all things are appropriate in pursuit of objectivity.

...and don't forget that Rupert Murdoch now has his greasy paws on MySpace.  Hard not to forget, actually, given how fucked up everything has been lately, and the blatant censorship that has started taking place.  Try posting a bulletin to http://i_formatio_cleari_ghouse.i_fo/ (but replace the '_'s with 'n's ) and see if it goes through...
