so here i am out on the road on my first set of big-ish headlining shows and what happens?
someone steals my new sweater.
let me explain.
i was playing in Louisville KY to a crowd of lovely people, but it became too hot and i had to take off my sweater. i placed it on the stage next to me and forgot it at the end of the night. while i was signing and taking pictures, i saw a girl, WEARING it...and i thought "Haha that's cute. she looks good in my sweater!" little did i know that she would then LEAVE WITH IT ON! who does that????? my beautiful baby blue cardigan with the sailboat on the side and cloth white buttons with blue anchors stitched on them. it even had a small anchor embroidered on the shoulder in a spot that you could only see if i lifted my hair up. it was sweet. it was beautiful. and i loved it.
i guess the lesson learned is to not hold on to material things. i am trying to turn it into something positive. it's a good story for the stage anyway.
other than the sweater stealing moment, the shows have been so much fun and the audiences have been great. thank you to anyone who has come out.
